One Miss Udoh Akpabio, who reportedly hid her phone in her pant to cheat in the ongoing Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), has been arrested by the operatives of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), alongside her accomplice. Andrew Etziuzala was arrested for aiding Akpabio,in cheating in the examination which took place at Baptist Academy, Karu, FCT after they were nabbed with the aid of CCTV which sends live transmission of activities going on within the examination halls. Confirming the arrest of the suspects, the FCT Commandant of the NSCDC, Patrick Ukpen, said Andrew, a student of Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa reportedly introduced Akpabio into the chain of cheating during examinations. It was gathered that while the examination was ongoing, he was sending text messages of supposed answers to the questions she was expected to answer. Mr. Akpan said: “We have in our custody today two suspects that were involved in examination malpractice in the ongoing JAMB UTME. Their level of involvement are as follows, a lady whose name is, went into the exam hall with a telephone handset and this is against the rules covering the JAMB examination. “She concealed the telephone set inside her panties and she went in un-detected and while the examination nation was going on, she brought it out. “With the use of modern technology; you know the examination centres have CCTV cameras that are sending live transmission of activities that are taking place in the examination hall, and the activities of our men and other JAMB officials who were deployed to the centres, we were able to detect what she was doing and she was immediately arrested. “Upon interrogation, we were also able to arrest her accomplice who is another young man by the name Andrew who introduced her into the business and was equally involved in sending text messages of supposedly answers to the examination she was doing. “They are in our custody now and we are going to carry out further investigations regarding their involvement and to know if there are other accomplice, he will equally be traced and arrested and thereafter, they will be prosecuted in a law court.” Premium Times reported that Andrew claimed the answers were generated by another member of the syndicate who is now at large, operating from a Business Centre in Jikwoyi. According to Andrew, the suspect allegedly hacked into JAMB examination questions and generated answers which were forwarded to him, which he in turn forwarded to Akpabio in the examination hall. Miss Akpabio, who confessed that she hid the phone to beat the security checks, said she applied to study Business Administration and had sat for JAMB for more than four times before now, without securing admission into any Tertiary Institution in the country. She said: “I was caught with a phone in exam hall. Actually, I was about bringing out the phone to make use of it and they saw me.” When asked if she was aware that she was not supposed to go into the examination hall with a phone, she said yes. “It was just an accident.” “My last score was 179″. http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/03/shameful-utme-candidate-who-hid-phone.html

Did you watch day 43 of the Big Brother Naija 3 reality show? If you missed it, we’ve got the highlights for you! Back to Square One The Fireball Alex has been one of the liveliest Housemate in the Double Wahala House, bringing her youthful, joyful and playful self to the game. Her childlike personality has allowed her to always stay true to herself, and never find herself in situations she couldn’t stomach. It is true that Alex “can cry for Africa“, but when she laughs, the world laughs with her. Alex’s colorful hairstyles and electric smile made her impossible to miss, and incredibly hard to not get attached to. When Alex entered the House she rocked a green short hairstyle and blue lipstick and made no attempt whatsoever to hold her sharp tongue. The Flame of Love With her no-nonsense attitude, she has never hesitated to put people in their place, like she did with Cee-C and Princess. With equally hot-headed Housemates, Alex had struggled to keep her temper under wraps. It was only until Biggie paired her with Leo that another side of her emerged. Although the chemistry between her and Leo lit up the screen, theirs was quite an odd relation. Leo had made it no secret that he found her too immature for his liking, and acted more like a protective older brother whose calming presence reassured her. However, things took a turn, and their romance has grown. The Dimming Fire Alex was the young, ‘feisty girl in the House‘, and it is only Leo who has tamed her confrontational nature. They have locked lips several times, slept in the same bed and were practically glued to each other whilst in the House, bringing out a softer side in Alex. His Eviction last night has left her in shambles, crying way into the night and at different points this morning. There is much more to Alex than what meets the eye. With Leo gone, will she be able to rise from the ashes and find herself, and play the game she came to play? Toned-Down Tobi Three-times winner of the Head of House title, Tobi has been slow to embody his promise of bringing lots of fun to the BBNaija House. He seem to still be riding on the wave of his very first appointment as Head of House and hasn’t gone out of his way to ginger things up. Beating Around The Bush When Cee-C volunteered to be his co-regent during the first week, it was his friend and foe that he had unknowingly attracted. Tobi seemed to be as equally annoyed by her constant drama as irresistibly drawn to all that she is, flaws and all. Cee-C and Tobi have had their share of shouting matches in the House, to Housemates greatest exasperation. After all, there was only so much prodding that Cee-C could do to get him to woo the House. Yet at first, just like Angel, Tobi was despised for his coarse and insensible handling of the different personalities in the House. He was buff and displayed bullying tendencies when he very early on and publicly said he couldn’t understand how a man could look like the lithe Lolu. His military-style workout mania also didn’t win him any friends, as Ifu Ennada complained that he enjoyed making people feeling bad. Rolling In Clover As much as he saw eye-to-eye with Angel, Tobi dreaded Teddy A, whom he saw as serious competition and Nominated him for Eviction at the first chance. It’s only very recently that Tobi seem to have struck a friendship with Miracle, but only after the latter had also won the Head of House title. Of late, Tobi has started consulting with Anto, who had left him at a loss for words until then. With the pairing with Alex dismantled, it remains to be seen whether Tobi will get out of his leisurely and complacent ways in the House. Bright Shining Stars Housemates had gathered in the Arena to contend for the prized Head of House crown and all the privileges that come with it, such as the luxury bedroom treat and the ultimate freedom to boss everyone around as they pleased. Lucky Stars To qualify for the challenge, Housemates had to put a ping pong ball into cups using a measuring tape. All lined-up and focused on the small round ball, the four ladies went in first. No one had time to feign surprise when Nina and Cee-C were announced as qualified, for the astonishment was genuine. Cee-C in particular was elated for this would be her second win in the House, after her landmark Arena Games victory. As for Nina, she seemed genuinely taken aback and sported the biggest grin to date. When their turn came, the four guys rose the challenge and in one swoop, hit the balls right in the cups. Star-Crossed Lovers As much as Cee-C and Nina’s qualification felt like a bombshell, when Biggie announced that Miracle and Tobi had qualified for the challenge, it was another mood altogether. For a start, this meant that Tobi may – for the fourth time – take the lead, be the voice, and the head of the House. Should Miracle win, it would be the second time that he sits in the Chair. Still whether it is Biggie or the stars that are smiling upon these four Housemates, one cannot stop but wonder what part of a victory would go to their heads? After all, this would mean the familiar return of Mina (Miracle-Nina) and Ceebi (Cee-C-Tobi) to the scene on one hand, and also affect the growing Tobi and Miracle bromance. Starbust Earlier, Biggie also amended the Head of House competition by removing Immunity and Veto Power to Save and Replace. Instead he introduced four Chance Cards, each with different possible outcomes that the future Head of House would find in the glass booth. Dissolved and Nominated If the saying ‘change is the only constant’ wasn’t relevant before, saying it is now would be a complete understatement because that’s all we’re being served today. Pairs Dissolved At last, well at least some of them, the dreaded pairs have been dissolved and Housemates get to stand alone and balance their own bridges. They were all clearly hit hard by the almost completely random pairing. With each focused on their individual games and low key backdoor plotting; having to tone it down and share both the grace and the disgrace threw them off and laid them in the comfort zones from which they refused to exit in the past few weeks. The weaker threads depended on their strong links and this whole dynamic was the reason for the internal wars the Housemates have been having. Now that they’ve been freed from the burden of being ‘their brothers’ keepers’, the Nomination promise to be more strategy than empathy; cut throat and downright dirty. The Nominations We can’t tell whether the fast pace at which the Nominations took place is owed to the Housemates’ release from the pair prison or to the fact that Biggie drove his own wagon; with Rico Swavey as exception, the Housemates matched the wagon’s speed and fired away, Nominating their adversaries. Seeing as the process wasn’t coordinated, the results came as a shocker and Housemates were finally given the right of passage to reveal what they thought of each other, in Nomination form of course. The results saw more than three thirds of the House closer to the chopping boarder. All but HoH Nina and Rico Swavey are up for Eviction and this is how it went down: Anto – Teddy A & Alex Rico Swavey – Cee-C & Miracle Cee-C – Anto & Alex Lolu – Rico Swavey & BamBam BamBam – Tobi & Anto Tobi – Teddy A & BamBam Alex – BamBam & Cee-C Teddy A – Tobi & Miracle Miracle – Cee-C & Lolu Nina – BamBam & Lolu No Save and Replace This day should officially be renamed and ‘Dissolved’ would be a fitting replacement. The HoH privileges has also been sifted and awarded in very small portions. Instead of the normal Save and Replace, reigning queen Nina had to make do with just the Immunity, thanks the Chance Card she picked, ‘Immunity from Nominations Only – No Save and Replace’. The games have finally begun. All Hail Nina If we didn’t believe in the ‘the first will be last and the last first’ philosophy, it’s safe to say that we do now because Nina has gone against all the odds and managed to bag her very first win in the House; a win that happens to be the most important. Not All is Fair in Warfare We can’t necessarily use the word ‘fair’ to describe Nina’s share of the unlucky end of the stick because compared to the other Housemates, she’s had to swallow a whole lot more. If she wasn’t under constant surveillance, we’d attribute her victory to a couple of burnt offerings and maybe a few weeks of dry fasting because it was not expected at all. Her thirst for the win was demonstrated when she had an emotional break down during one of her diary sessions, complaining about her lack of luck. However, the Universe definitely conspired in her favor and brought her the win on a silver platter; bruising the puffed Tobi’s ego, pulling the rug from under Cee-C and denting Miracle’s confidence. http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/03/the-twist-and-turns-here-are-all.html

Nigerian Nollywood fast rising actress Charity Nnaji is starting her stardom on controversies; the actress has been brandish as a lesbian after she caused some uproar in one of her interview. The curvy actress who spoke out her mind on what she thinks about curvy and thick ladies issued that most of them are dirty beneath. This didn’t go well considering why she should make such statement, and she has since then been receiving insults upon insults from the slim, fat, chubby, and all grade of body sizes. The Abuja based actress who has lost peace after those words is begging that they should please leave her alone that all she did was only to voice out her opinion. “Please they should leave me alone; I was only expressing my opinion. On March 8, 2018, the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinabjo, clocked three scores and one. Expectedly, there have been plenty of birthday wishes. In writing this piece, I was faced with the dilemma of how to capture the essence of a man that has continued to wow many Nigerians with his loyalty to his boss, President Muhammadu Buhari; his unalloyed faith to his God as a pastor; his profound intellectual profundity and commitment in service to country. It was in this reflection that Abraham Maslow came to mind. Maslow, a migrant Russian Jew to America, was recorded to have said; “We need not take refuge in supernatural gods to explain our saints and sages and heroes and statesmen, as if to explain our disbelief that mere unaided human beings could be that good or wise.” Maslow was not your typical run-of-the-mill individual. He was a renowned psychologist and best known for proposing the “hierarchy of needs” to be met so that an individual can achieve “self-actualization.” It is in this regard that one gets to appreciate his insightful commentary on the place of intellectuals not just as individuals but as servants in government. Without a doubt, there is hardly any Nigerian that is not in agreement that Osinbajo is deeply imbued with intellect. And this he has brought to bear in his role as vice president. Nothing best illustrates his place in this administration and Nigeria as a whole as in the months that President Buhari was unavoidably away from the country on medical vacation. To demonstrate that government was not just a one-man show and there was no vacuum, the vice president criss-crossed the country meeting with critical stakeholders to reassure them of the administration’s goodwill towards all segment of the country. At that time of holding sway for his boss, Osinbajo shuttled to the restive Niger Delta to calm frayed nerves and bring the aggrieved people and their leaders to the table. His foray in the Niger Delta yielded the adoption of the 16-point demand presented by Niger Delta leaders represented by the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), as a working document to resolve the crisis in the oil-rich region. That singularly move stemmed the looming threat to the nation’s oil and gas production and has since then ensured that our country has maintained its OPEC oil production quota. Besides this, Osinbajo has remained a key ally of President Buhari in articulating most of the economic and development agenda of the Change administration. As head of the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan, it was easy to tell his desire to re-booth the economy and get things working again. Long before coming into government, Osinbajo has demonstrated his loyalty to the Nigerian people as exemplified in the Pfizer Trovan and Ceftriaxone drug scandal that claimed 11 children in the ancient city of Kano. The vice president’s law firm was able to secure a rewarding deal amounting to $175 million (N63 billion in prevailing exchange rate) for the victims. One can only appreciate the depth of his loyalty when weighed against the relationships of some past deputies with their principal. No wonder that President Buhari tweeted early on the vice president’s birthday: “Happy 61st Birthday, @ProfOsinbajo. Thank you for being a loyal and dependable partner on this journey. I join millions of your friends and well-wishers around the world to wish you many more years of service to God, to Nigeria, and to humanity.” It is on record that joint tickets deteriorate in the end, “undone by divergent politics, festering policy disputes—or simply human fatigue amid the strains of trying to turn what is inevitably a shotgun marriage into a love match.” But with Osinbajo, the reverse has been the case- perhaps, as a matter of providence or basically his appreciation of the transient ego of power. Whichever, it serves him well. It is also instructive to note that no one best illustrates how power has not eroded the humanness of the Vice President than the man he first served as Attorney General, former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Tinubu in his birthday message said to wit: “This day presents an opportunity for us to thank God for the years he has given you and to pray that He provides you with many more birthdays. Your birthday also gives me the chance to tell you that the respect and affection I have for you as a brother and friend are deep and abiding. Your life has been one of commitment to the principles of justice, honesty, fairness, and equality of all people under God. You plied your knowledge of the law to advance the welfare of the common man and, thus, protect those ideals and beliefs integral to the exercise of our collective humanity. You vitally contributed to most of the landmark cases and laws passed in the state, which paved the way for the ongoing development of the state. Those same rare talents and traits you continue to live by today. You did not allow the high office to change you or dilute your humanity. Your performance and service to the nation is a source of pride to those who know you. Along with President Buhari, you have helped to show that assumption of high office does not have to lower one’s sense of morality or lessen their humanity.” Having worked closely with the vice president, I can proudly say that his passion and optimism for Nigeria getting it right despite the present socio-economic problems do not show signs of diminishing. One could, perhaps, put this down to his avowed faith in God. As Osinbajo marks his 61st birthday and as Nigeria continues to seek for ways and means to create a country that is for all Nigerians, it will be something of cheer to expect that the good working relations between him and the president will continue to flourish. As they engage themselves in the daunting task of building a prosperous country, those futuristic ideas needed to make Nigeria achieve its full potentials will not be lacking. http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/03/osinbajo-happy-warrior.html

Rita Dominic has finally published a statement after the backlash she received for criticising Nollywood. Recall that the legendary actress called out filmmakers who rush to put out trashy projects. At first, many people felt this was a general statement, but discerning folks noticed that she did not promote Lilian Afegbai’s latest film, Bound, in which she starred as a lead character. Sources close to the legendary actress said she felt the movie was not cinema-worthy and it was the reason she did not show up at the private screening, and also why she did not promote the movie on her social media pages. And so, it was why she schooled filmmakers on the importance of producing cinema-worthy project, however, her post stirred major backlash from filmmakers like Don Pedro Okojie, and even her followers. Now, she has published a statement to explain the reasoning behind her first outburst, why she wants the industry to do better. She wrote: “Hello Fam! I wanted to post a video but it was too long so I opted for a long post. A couple of days ago I posted a quote to motivate active members of my beloved industry. You decided to build a nice big table there, gathered us on top and shook it till we all had to pay attention. It became apparent rather quickly that you have been fed up for a while. Guess what!! I have heard you!I have heard you as an actor. I have heard you as a producer. I will do better. I have never been one not to listen to constructive criticism so it is to my advantage to listen again. Thanks to the colleagues who called me, tweeted, sent messages and even braved commenting while the table was shaking vigorously. Glad you understood the intention of my post. We are cultivating a cinema culture and we cannot do it without our audience. They have spoken and I have a better grasp of their frustrations. It is a positive thing to have our consumers emotionally invested In our films. I want to request that our viewers not give up on going to the cinemas to support films. If a film is good encourage the filmmakers by telling others to see it. You have an important role to play in the development of the Nigerian film industry and you have taken the first steps by letting your voices be heard. You can now stop shaking the table so we can get down to make better films for you. P.S please register to vote in 2019” http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/03/reason-behind-my-outburst-rita-dominic.html

The Nigerian Prisons Service, NPS, has stated that the United Kingdom government had yet to formally notify it and the Federal Government of its plan to build structures at the Kirikiri Prison in Lagos State. According to the NPS Spokesman, Francis Enobore, the UK must first discuss the specific terms and conditions of the project with the Federal Government. Media reports on Friday had indicated that Britain would build a new wing at the Kirikiri Prison in Lagos so that it could transfer Nigerian prisoners in the UK there. The new 112-bed wing, which will cost £700,000 ($973,000), will be compliant with the United Nations standards. But Enobore said the UK’s plan would involve an inter-government consultation which would then be communicated to the Controller-General of the NPS. He said, “No such building can be built without a synergy between the UK and the Nigerian government; the UK cannot do that. There is no way the UK can just jump into Kirikiri and start to build anything. “Officially, we are not aware of such move. No formal document has reached the service. As far as I know, I have not seen any document showing a formal move by the United Kingdom to build a prison wing in Kirikiri. “I read about the plan. It is a proposal still being considered in the UK. There is no place where it is mentioned that any formal invitation was given to the Nigerian government. “The Controller-General will be notified and there will be further plans. It is too early for me to start talking about a project that I have not seen or heard about.” http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/03/nigeria-prisons-finally-speaks-on-uks.html

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has advised the Lagos State chapter to wait for another National Executive Committee meeting or the National Convention to make its case over NEC’s decision to extend the tenure of elected and appointed party officials. The chapter had stated that the extension was against the party’s constitution. National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Bolaji Abdullahi, also a member of National Working Committee, NWC, gave the position of the party in an interview with Punch. Abdullahi said, “Well, that’s democracy. A decision has been taken by the second highest decision making body of the party, which is the NEC. “If one out of the several chapters of the party disagrees, it does not invalidate the decision. “The chapter concerned can wait for another NEC meeting or the National Convention to make its case; this is the beauty of party democracy. “We have internal mechanisms for resolving whatever issues that arise and we advise that these mechanisms be explored.” http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/03/apc-replies-lagos-chapter-over.html

Popular Ghanaian singer Shatta Wale assaulted a police man on duty and has been arrested for this crime. According to the reports, Shatta Wale drove an unregistered car and was accompanied by a range rover SUV which was also unregistered and when stopped by the police he had to rain curses on the officer. From the law that governs the country of Ghana it is an offence to assault a police officer either verbally or physically. The video of this incident had been circulated on social media and this is said by the police that it can bring a negative influence on the citizens. If a figure head is doing this to an officer why won’t a common man take that up as something that is invoked in the society. This is what the police had to say concerning Shatta Wale’s arrest “Shatta Wale was picked up by the police on Sunday and granted enquiry bail. It wasn’t just unregistered, it had no number plate at all, which goes against our laws. In an attempt for the policeman to ask questions…Shatta Wale assaulted the police officer and also exhibited insulting behavior. Because of that, he was arrested on Sunday and he’s been granted police enquiry bail to reappear at the police station this morning.” A prophet had issued that Shatta Wale will be next to die after the death of Ghanaian popular singer Ebony Reigns. Could the end of Shatta Wale be near? After this new development or he will bounce back stronger. http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/03/shatta-wale-could-this-be-end-of-road.html

Etinosa Idemudia hails from Edo State, Nigeria, she holds a BEng in Computer Engineering from Covenant University, Ota, Nigeria and a Diploma in Performing Arts from Royal Arts Academy, Lagos, Nigeria. She worked as a planning Engineer for oil and gas construction projects until the last quarter of 2016 when she decided to go into acting full time. Her curiosity and love for the arts helped her make the decision to focus on what she loves. Well the beautiful actress didn’t study to be an actress but it could be said she only had the passion for it. Before venturing into acting she was already established, she had already built her own house in Port Harcourt. Speaking on an interview, she was asked if she ventured into acting by mistake or it was passion, and she said; “In the beginning of 2016, I took a break; I came to Royal Art Academy to educate myself about acting, about the industry. I was on leave at that time, and while I was there, I got some amazing comedy contract, and I was like ‘wow, oh my God, this is where I should be!’ My blood was pumping, I was happy. I got my first acting role, as a ‘waka-pass’ in the movie, ‘A Little White Lie’ produced by Emem-Isong. Even though, I just said ‘hi’ and passed, it was so great. By March or April, my leave was over and I went back to work, but I couldn’t concentrate. To cut the long story short, I got back to the industry, I was like ‘you know what, this is the time now, I am done with Engineering’. So, it’s been passion, it’s been my dream, and finally I am achieving it.” She revealed that at the age of 7 she was already in secondary school, she was in JSS 1. http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/03/i-dump-oil-and-gas-for-waka-pass.html

While the Nigerian government keeps mum on details on the attack on Rann community and the casualty thereof, the United Nations has confirmed that at least eight Nigerian security personnel were killed in the attack. The UN in a statement by Stéphane Dujarric, spokesman for Secretary-General António Guterres, also confirmed the withdrawal of aid workers from the community. “The Secretary-General condemns the killing of three aid workers last night in Rann town in Borno state, Nigeria, following an attack by suspected Boko Haram insurgents. At least one other aid worker remains critically injured and another three are still missing. Eight members of the Nigerian national security forces were also killed. “At the time of the attack, over 40 humanitarian workers were in Rann. All humanitarian personnel have been evacuated from Rann, and all humanitarian deliveries in the area have been temporarily suspended. “The Secretary-General expresses his deepest condolences to the affected aid workers, their families and to the Government and people of Nigeria. He wishes those injured a swift recovery. The Secretary-General recalls that attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure violate international humanitarian law. Those responsible for these and other atrocities in Nigeria must be apprehended and prosecuted. “The Secretary-General calls on all the parties to ensure at all times the protection of all civilians in Nigeria. Also, the Doctors Without Borders, otherwise known as Medicines Sans Frontiers (MSF) on Friday officially suspended humanitarian activities in the remote Borno community. Neither the Nigerian military nor the police has released any statement on the Rann attack or confirmed the casualty figure. However, military sources told PREMIUM TIMES several people including soldiers were killed in the attack. MSF”s Field Communication officer in Abuja, Maro Verli, said on Friday that the humanitarian organisation has no option for now than to suspend all their operations in the volatile area. “Following the violent attack in Rann, Borno state, on Thursday 1 March, Medicines Sans Frontiers (MSF) decided to suspend its medical activities in the town. “MSF team has been providing medical care to the 40,000 people in Rann, since January 2017. Mobile teams delivered assistance on a regular basis, and a permanent medical team has been based in Rann since September 2017.” Thursday’s attack is the second major one on Rann. About 200 persons were killed in January 2017 when a Nigerian military plane mistakenly dropped bombs on the Rann IDP camp. The location of Rann, the security situation around the area, and the lack of efficient telephone system there makes it difficult for journalists to get a true understanding of happenings there. A similar scenario occurred in the January 2017 incident. It also took the military days to confirm the actual casualty. http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/03/un-confirms-8-nigerian-security.html

Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo, also known online as Snitchlady, is a Nigerian journalist, pharmacist, gun violence activist and social media personality. She is also the editor of #HNNAfrica, a world and health news blog. The investigative journalist who was held in Maximum Prison at Port-Harcourt for trying to investigate the salvation ministries pastor, Pastor David Ibiyeomie over 8 page report that was forwarded to her is now referred to as the spiritual daughter of the pastor. Well many have criticized Kemi for acting so cool over the incident after her bail and the charges held against her was dropped, many attributing her recent act to collecting a huge sum of money. Well the journalist has issued that her case is different and not what the public thinks. On a live TV program monitored by Nigeriafilms.com, the journalist shared the reason why she is now a member of Ibiyeomie’s church, a man that tried to reduce her to nothing in the society. According to her, she said that after she was released from the prison she always go to a church to pray every 3pm but on one faithful day she was led in her spirit to attend Ibiyeomie’s church, she obeyed and worship at the church. When the church was over, she went to meet the pastor in his office but she was restricted, she had to cook up a lie that she is from America and was here for a five day prayer. When they heard the American accent she was granted access to see the pastor. On getting to the pastors office they were five other men in there with him, two were pastors and two other were the lawyers prosecuting her, she went straight to the pastor telling him you locked me up, help me am broken. Immediately, the pastor told her to give him her hands, when he held her hands to pray, she saw angels flying around and then she knew that the man is truly of God and he possess some spiritual powers, she later gave her life to Christ again in there. Kemi said she was not paid by Ibiyeomie to keep quiet but her case is liken to that of Saul who prosecuted Christians but was later arrested by God and he was now a part of the Christian family whose name was changed to Paul. According to her she was broke, and her accountant told her that during her stay in the prison she has lost a whooping sum close to 5 billion naira, but now she is no more broke and she was not paid by anybody or receiving threat from any one to drop the case. Kemi was a woman that many knows for her stubborn nature and also the spirit of an activist but currently she is far from a shadow of herself, many had been hoping that when she comes out of prison she will surely bring the defaulters to lime light but she has just allowed everything go just like that and also making the man that was against her a spiritual father. Could it really be God or it is because of threat or bribe from any source that has shut her mouth up. The case of Kemi is like that of our activist Hadiza Bala Usman, of the Bring Back Our Girls campaign waking up one day to call it quit without any threat or bride towards it, it is very suspicious. http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/02/how-kemi-omololu-olunloyo-deceived.html

Nigerian Yoruba actor Owolabi Ajasa had surprised many Nigerians wen his photos appeared online where he was in a NYSC camp in Kogi state. According to the compulsory NYSC law, if you are above the age of 30 you can be exempted from serving the nation but Owolabi did not abide by this instead he opted to serving the nation not minding his age. According to him he is the first graduate in his family and that is the sole reason he had to undergo the compulsory NYSC scheme. Speaking on why he obeyed the clarion call, Owolabi said; “It is a simple matter. It all depends on the time you finish your tertiary education. If you are over 30 at that time, you can choose to seek exemption from service but I chose not to do that. I also decided to ‘serve’ because I am the first graduate in my family and it really meant a lot to me. That’s why I wrote on social media that I broke a jinx in my family by observing NYSC.” Owolabi is a graduate of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic in Abeokuta, Ogun State, he studied Marketing. Since we have established and accepted that conflict is part of life, the reasonable thing to do therefore is to device a means of handling it with little consequences. This on its own is one of the things that make life very interesting; ability to solve problems and move on. Having said that, the life span, peace, strength and depth of a relationship depend to a great extent on the ability of the people involved to manage their differences and challenges. Some lovely unions got split just because someone was not tactful enough in handling its crisis. It’s embarrassing to say that most people are taken by surprise when conflict emerge - they thought the relationship was too sweet to go sour but that; we should know is a lie. In as much as no one prays for conflict to happen, it’s wise to know that it can and will happen someday. Conflict they say is inevitable.. Reactions most often gives rise to disagreement than the main issue at hand. Your response to situations and people determines how soon the problem at hand can be resolved. Again, people’s reactions are guided or inspired by a whole lot of factors: including accumulated grievances and malice, thus finding the slightest medium to explode or express dissatisfaction/displeasure. Being able to handle conflict therefore will lean on certain principles… The principle of proper communication: More than half of the time, conflict occur as a result of poor communication. This might take the form of misunderstanding of information, misrepresentation, misinterpretation or mismanagement. Solving a problem at hand will then require going to the drawing board - what caused it in the first instance? Apart from trying to understand the disposition of the characters involved, addressing the; 1. How 2. Why 3.When 4 and where the problem started could be a right step to achieving success. • How; This explains the nature of conflict. • Why; This will centre on the trigger of the problem. •When; Are there certain situations that cause or fuel conflict? •Where; The location as at when things happened can go a long way to determine how the other party will react. For instance, some people do not like to be corrected where junior colleagues or younger folks are. The ‘Shadow’ principle; Whether you are called in to help dispute a matter or you are directly involved, putting yourself in the position of the other person can help you appreciate why they behaved in a certain way. Using the ‘if I were in his shoes’ approach can be very challenging but you sometimes get quick result when you borrow the other person’s pair of glasses. Objectivity principle; Being objective is closely related to putting yourself in the same position but different in the sense that you allow the reasoning and disposition of other people to see the light of day. There is no brass ceiling placed over anybody- their opinion is treated as an option or a personal choice instead of deviation/rebellion. Principle of fair treatment; Having the mind to do to others what you would love them do to you is key in human relationships. If you ever stop to imagine how you would love to be treated if you were the one involved in the situation at hand, you’ll find it easier to temper justice with mercy. Remember that although people may be wrong, they still retain the right to live and be treated well until proven otherwise. Principle of consequences; There are situations that trying to get to the root of the matter might cause more harm than allowing it to die. Some situations are better left the way they are; giving forgiveness a chance to prevail rather than complicate issues in the process of unearthing facts. A woman caught sight of her husband’s car in a shopping area where she was not expecting him, she monitored his activities from far and saw another woman transferring bags from his boot to a taxi packed beside it and finally: he came out to smooch a kiss and returned to the car while the lady went home in the taxi. When his wife approached him, he apologised and promised never to do such again but she insisted on knowing the woman he was spending time with. When he finally told her it was her best friend, she got so disturbed and developed a terrible sickness later in life. Address issues not the person; People tend to build defence and sometimes attack you once they perceive you want to run down their personality. No one really enjoys insult - not even a child. Make your point clear without humiliating the person. It’s wiser to express the way you feel rather than dwell on what the other person did. You can say stuff like; ‘I really felt humiliated’. and not ‘You really humiliated me’. What if the fellow did not do it to humiliate you? Your feelings can stem from your perception and might not always be right. Dwell on what went wrong in the process not what somebody did not do well. You are likely to get settlement and sometimes apologies if you play the cards well. Avoid name-calling. Don’t uncover the past; Nothing cripples settlement like opening up old wounds. If you want to move forward, let your partner know that they are forgiven and try not to judge them by past mistakes and decisions. Show understanding & respect – control voice tone. Demonstrate true concern and desire for peace. Accept your fault and promise to change. Act in love even though you are upset. Offer forgiveness and apologies properly and genuinely. Find a unique way to get back into romance - let life continue. Davido and Wizkid have slammed a troll after he tried to resurrect a beef both artiste already buried since last year. In a tweet, he reacted to a picture posted by Davido which shows him and Wizkid performing together on stage. Davido tweeted the picture to celebrate his new friendship with Wizzy; he captioned it: ”Living. Loving. Laughing”. Finding it absurd that the OBO is goofing around while Wizkid is about to drop another single which will probably be a hit, he replied to the artiste’s tweet, perhaps in an attempt to wake him up from a supposed slumber. He said, “Be living, loving and laughing while @wizkidayo drops another hit on Monday by 1PM Nigerian time!” Sensing that the troll was trying to drag back into the time he had a beef with Wizkid, Davido replied, “Lmao baba go and sleep this is so last year .. and yea I’m sure the world knows by now say me I no get problem wen it comes to HITS! “ To proof that both singers have truly gone past the level of throwing shades at each other and seeing one another as rivals, Wizkid replied Davido’s tweet by telling him to ignore such trolls. He said, “forget dem Obo!”. Both artistes have been in good terms since last year December when they finally squashed their beef and hugged each other on stage at their Lagos concerts with Davido calling Wizzy his new best friend. Recently, both artistes stepped on stage to perform Wizkid’s hit song ‘manya’ at Davido’s 30 billion UK concert. Wizzy’s stepping on stage sent the already hyped crowd into a mad frenzy as he proceeded to throw some shaku shaku dance moves. http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/02/davido-wizkid-blast-fan-fueling-beef.html

Tekno has been criticised in the past for his bad attitude towards his fans. This latest event will likely increase fuel such criticism Tekno had the chance to impress a waiting and anticipating crowd in Abuja at the weekend but he let them down with what has been described as an uninspiring performance. Perhaps, it was the organisers’ error by choosing him to end the show after Flavour seemed to have raised the bar an inch too high. The El-carnival and Play Network concert had started well with Styl-Plus who first graced the stage with performances that rolled back the years. The group performed different hits including, “Olufunmi” and “Imagine That” from the Expressions album and “Four Years” from the Back and Better album much to the delight of the Abuja crowd. Then came Flavour N’abania who took the crowd to another level with his performance of hits like “Ada Ada” and got many people up and dancing. A fan, who revealed her name as Isioma Okolo, could not hide her joy. She simply said, “My favourite Nigerian musician has done it again, I have been to some of his shows before and he raises the bar every time”. One would think that a receptive crowd like this is what every artiste looks forward to, but Tekno seemed not interested in that. The singer was reportedly heard murmuring into the mic and sarcastically saying the money he was paid had finished, much to the disappointment of some of his fans. One Emmanuel Kevin who had come from Keffi, Nasarawa State to attend the show expressed his disappointment at Tekno. He told NAN, “It was disappointing to see. I could hear him every time he instructed his DJ to change a song half way through performing it. He seemed to be rushing somewhere”. Another fan who preferred to be called Freda also expressed her disappointment. “It was as if he did not want to be in Abuja”, she said. http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/02/tekno-in-trouble-in-abuja.html

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo has faulted the court action instituted against the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Innoson Nigeria, Limited, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, saying it is discriminatory. In a statement signed by Emeka Attamah, Senior Adviser to the President-General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Chief John Nnia Nwodo, which was made available to Tribune Online in Enugu on Tuesday, stated, “The attention of Ohanaeze Ndigbo has been drawn to a court action instituted against the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Innoson Nigeria Limited, Chief Innocent Chukwuma in which he is being charged, ostensibly, of obtaining Custom documents through fraudulent means.” The statement further noted, “Cognizant of the matter being in court and without any pretense to the veracity of the case or otherwise, Ohanaeze Ndigbo views the current travails of Chief Chukwuma as yet another attempt at hounding another son of Igbo land who, out of personal enterprise and dint of hard work, has helped in shaping the economic and industrial fortunes of Nigeria.” “The apex Igbo organization frowns at this recent attempt to obfuscate the clear court victory won by Innoson’s Group in a crucial suit against a leading bank in the country. “The current twist in the whole affair is viewed as a deliberate attempt to put Chief Chukwuma on the defensive in a matter that clearly vindicates him and confers a lot of financial advantage on him and taint his reputation by introducing a criminal angle to an already settled civil proceeding.” “Ohanaeze is carefully studying this discriminatory treatment of his adversaries and the law enforcement agents with a view to reviewing the patronage of our people to any economic establishment found to be associated in this new criminal assault of Chief Innocent Chukwuma. “We will no longer be prepared to do business with any organization that denigrates the best of our people”, the statement concluded. http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/02/ohanaeze-condemns-court-action-against.html

Dj cuppy daughter of Nigerian oil tycoon billionaire Femi Otedola has responded to her critics that think that she is this successful because of the influence of her father. Cuppy said that to those that think she has been strolling to attain success in her life, they should either stop or continue thinking like so as she has been working for everything she has gained. The DJ cleared the air by saying that her father’s name rarely open the entire door for her, instead it gives people the notion to conclude before she is even given a chance to prove herself, they use it against me. In her word “People have to understand that just because I was born into my family does not mean that it opens all doors, that is everyone’s outside perspective. My inside perspective is just being someone’s child; how can being someone’s child be used against you? I can walk into a room and before I even open my mouth, everyone has decided, and it’s like you are not giving a young woman a chance to even prove herself.” “The only difference between Davido and I is that he decided to use the influence as an advantage from an early stage. So David was like I am ‘Omo Baba Olowo’ (OBO), take it or leave it! I’m not that kind of person, he was smart though, because before you can even do anything, he has already told you he is the son of a millionaire.” Some days back the Billionaire’s daughter, Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola aka DJ Cuppy was the official DJ at the Global Citizen event held in Senegal, she had a session of teaching French president Emmanuel Macron and Senegalese president, Macky Sall how to DJ. http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/02/beef-loading-dj-cuppy-bites-davidos-tail.html
