If elected into the Senate, I will join hands with progressive minded Nigerians in order to move this country forward,” he said. http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/02/buharis-aide-kawu-declares-for-kano.html

So far, being a producer has been good; it turned out to be what I hoped for. My first production was successful, although it wasn’t easy at all. People actually love the movie because it is more of a comedy film. The views are amazing and the comments I get are very encouraging” According to her, the Nollywood industry is growing and she believes it is just a matter of time before the industry begins to compete with Hollywood. She said: The industry is growing, we are entertaining people and they appreciate us. In few years, I’m sure we would be competing with Hollywood. We have good stories and actors are doing really well. These days people watch more of Nollywood movies, especially in the cinemas. Even outside the country, people watch our movies online, so we are doing well. The beautiful actress was asked about her opinion of the general saying that women are incomplete without marriage. She responded saying: I’m an Igbo girl and with the way I was brought up, I agree that a woman is incomplete without marriage. Regardless of how much a woman makes or her level of success, she is incomplete without a husband, but that does not mean a woman has to rush into marriage because of this. http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/02/a-woman-is-incomplete-without-marriage.html

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday visited Nasarawa State. Buhari, on his visit warned victims of suspected Fulani herdsmen attack not to engage in reprisals attacks, stressing that his administration would not tolerate the barbaric acts. He stated this while commissioning Comprehensive Special School in Lafia, Nasarawa State. Here is the full text of President Buhari’s speech: I am very pleased to be with you here today in Lafia, the Capital of Nasarawa State. I am, indeed, overwhelmed by the warm reception accorded to me. 2. I am, however, not surprised by this show of love and enthusiasm because, for me, this is home coming. 3. People of Nasarawa have always been with the CHANGE movement, since the early days of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) through All Progressives Congress (APC). 4. In 2011, the people of Nasarawa decided to vote for CHANGE, voted for the CPC in order to have a government for the people, and in 2015 they voted for continuity. 5. Today, I am obliged to reiterate Governor Al-Makura’s proclamation that, indeed, Nasarawa State is my political home. 6. Since the inauguration of His Excellency Umar Tanko Al-Makura as the Governor of Nasarawa State in May, 2011; the occasion which I attended personally, I have been following the trend of events in the State and the reports I received are that of execution of many projects. 7. Accordingly, during my campaign visit to Nasarawa State in 2015, I noticed the transformation within Lafia metropolis. 8. Earlier this morning, I commissioned an Electronic Library, a Fire Service facility and Township Road. And now, I am here to commission a Special Needs School. 9. Later today, I will also commission a Model Primary Health Care Centre and Karu International Market. This is the CHANGE people of Nasarawa voted for. 10. I must add that these projects, I believe, were executed owing largely to the frugality of Governor Al-Makura in the management of the meagre resources at the disposal of the Administration in the State. 11. Excellencies, distinguished ladies and gentlemen, the Lafia Comprehensive Special School is a demonstration of our collective ambition to uplift the standard of living of all Nigerians through social investment policies. 12. This school will cater for the deaf, the blind and other physically challenged. Indeed, this is a clear example of our inclusive policy where no child, man or woman will be left behind. 13. This is a well-thought out initiative to give hope to a key segment of the society that has been ignored and neglected by the previous governments. We must help our disabled to contribute to their development and self-reliance. 14. Let me use this opportunity to stress that the CHANGE philosophy which precipitated the APC Government will continue to idealize and identify issues that are critical to our socio-economic development with a view to proffering lasting solutions to them. 15. I want to assure Nigerians that we would intensify our commitment towards the realization of the cardinal objectives of this Administration anchored on securing lives and property, curbing corruption and ensuring economic growth through diversification. 16. I am also particularly pleased to launch the Pilot Scheme of the Community Health Influencers, Promoters and Services (CHIPS), National Programme here at Kwandare- Lafia Local Government Area and to direct the Federal Ministry of Health to synergize with other States to roll out the programme to enable the less privileged and the rural dwellers to have access to health services. 17. Considering the proximity of the Nasarawa State to the Federal Capital Territory, Government will site Federal projects that will attract foreign investments to Nigeria, taking into cognizance the daily influx of people to the State from within and outside the country. 18. In this regard, I want to assure you that all ongoing strategic projects, especially the power transmission sub-stations and roads network would be completed to further enhance the socio-economic development of Nasarawa State and the north central region. 19. I also want to assure the people of the north central and indeed all Nigerians, that Federal Government is working day and night to ensure peace and stability returns. 20. We have deployed additional resources to all affected areas to maintain law and order. The attacks by suspected herdsmen and other bandits will not be tolerated. 21. I appeal to all Nigerian to refrain from attacks. The security agencies have standing instructions to arrest and prosecute any and all persons found with illegal arms. 22. I would like to once again express my condolences and sympathies to all the affected victims of these barbaric acts. 23. Your Excellencies, ladies and gentlemen, let me once again express my appreciation for the overwhelming show of support and affection which I receive from fellow Nigerians in Nasarawa State. 24. I urge you all to continue to pray for the success of this Administration and peace in the country. 25. It is now my pleasure to commission the Comprehensive Special School, Lafia. 26. Thank you and may God continue to bless Nigeria. http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/02/what-buhari-said-in-nasarawa-full-text.html

A security guard identified as Daniel Douglas AKA Kizzy, has been arrested for stealing valuables running into hundreds of thousands of naira over a 6 month period, from his boss. It was gathered that Kizzy had, several months ago, while cleaning his boss’ apartment, stolen a bunch of keys that open all the doors in the apartment located at Thera Annex, Sangotedo, Ajah, Lagos. The boss, who lives alone had complained on several occasions that his valuables were constantly dissapearing from the house, but had no cause to suspect that Kizzy had access to the entire house. He returned to Nigeria, few days ago and briefly left for Shoprite. As soon as he drove out of the gate, Kizzy sneaked in again and took some of the newly brought in valuables. The boss however raised an alarm the following day and Kizzy was apprehended. He later confessed that he had been stealing valuables from the house for months and selling them online. http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/02/security-guard-publicly-disgraced-and.html

Rogers Nicholas, the Theatre Commander, Operation Lafiya Dole, made the call on Saturday while handing over 82 rescued persons to the Borno State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) in Maiduguri. “This is the last phase of the operation; we are asking everybody in Borno State to give cooperation in terms of giving information about fleeing Boko Haram members. “People need to be vigilant in their localities, if you see any suspected persons, report to the military or security agents. “As I speak to you now many of them have surrendered and many more will surrender to the troops. The most important thing is that we are treating this people very humane because they are Nigerians. “And the message is to convey that we are not killing people, we are receiving them they are Nigerians. We are trying to rescue them that is why we are in this operation, as against the narrative by the Boko Haram that we are going to kill them”. Nicholas explained that the rescued persons including women, children and the aged would undergo medical examinations, rehabilitation and de-radicalization process. SEMA’s Head of Rescue Operation, Alhaji Bello Danbatta, commended the military over the rescue of the civilians from Boko Haram captivity. Several persons sustained injury on Friday as unknown gunmen stormed the All Progressives Congress, (APC) Secretariat in Obudu Local Government Area of Cross River State. The incident occurred as a gubernatorial aspirant of the APC, Mr Venatius Ikem, arrived the party’s secretariat to declare his intention to run for the 2019 governorship election. Reacting to the attack, the governorship aspirant in a mail to DAILY POST on Saturday urged his supporters to remain calm no matter the provocation. “Only the guilty who have blood on their hands will be caught in such violence”, he declared. “What happened at Obudu yesterday was a study in shame and APC at the highest level has decided and will take up the matter. Those who say they were not PDP thugs should not be in a hurry because we have evidence with everybody in various video clips that have been sent to Police HQ. “Everybody will hear from the police soon. I urge our teeming APC supporters once again to continue to show maturity and courage under fire and most importantly refrain from retaliating with violence. We aspire to lead and we will not allow them to drag us to their level. The truth is in the process of being unveiled. “The plans of the Gov to use violence to remain in office beyond 2019 are being practiced and we are happy that God has used the Obudu APC once again to expose those plans in time. “This is the 3rd such attack on APC at Obudu while conducting their internal party activities. I believe the party is taking notes that will be useful in planning against such dastardly acts in the forth coming general elections. “To my brothers in PDP, I urge you to see clearly that Ayade has lost any semblance of credibility amongst his own people and can only use violence, even when APC is having their internal party business. How unfortunate! I will speak at the appropriate time and you will hear from me”, he stated. http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/02/several-persons-injured-as-thugs-attack.html

Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, on Thursday registered with his Coalition for Nigeria Movement, CNM. Mc Ebisco reports that he registered in Ogun state at the secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Oke-Ilewo Abeokuta. Obasanjo said the coalition was on course to defeat the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in 2019. “This will be a movement of the people, CN will emerge victorious in 2019”, he predicted. The former leader’s comment is a sign that the coalition will register to become a political party. His full statement below: STATEMENT BY H.E OLUSEGUN OBASANJO ON THE OCCASION OF HIS REGISTRATION FOR COALITION FOR NIGERIAN MOVEMENT Ladies and Gentlemen and members of the Fourth Estate of the Realm, I welcome you to this simple but important ceremony of my registering as a member of the Coalition for Nigeria Movement and I thank you for being here. Last week, I issued a statement which I did not do lightly or frivolously but out of deep concern for the situation of our country. I gave an expose on some aspects of our situations as I have observed them. I also took liberty to offer advice politely knowing fully well that my advice could be heeded or may be ignored. However, heeded or not, I strongly believe that Nigeria cannot continue with business as usual. So, I proffered a way out or a way forward. If the instruments we have used so far in our nation-building and governance since independence have not served us well, it is imperative that we should rethink and retool. It was Einstein who stated that it would amount to height of folly for anybody or any group to continue to do things in the same way and expect different results. Coalition for Nigeria Movement is proposed as the new direction to mobilise our population for unity, cooperation, development, rule of law, employment, law and order, justice, integration, peace, security, stability, welfare and well-being. In these regards, special attention and space must be given to youths and women, who in most cases, have been victims and underlings. I am particularly happy that yesterday, men and women (of all ages) of like minds joined hands to launch Coalition for Nigeria Movement (CNM). Among many other things that CNM will do is to raise standards generally but particularly standards of political leadership and governance. Like all countries, Nigeria has many challenges. That, by itself, is not what we should worry about. What should matter is how, when and with what instruments we address or fail to address these challenges or create more problems. Let me emphasise important areas, programme, priorities, or processes for improved attention. To start with, we seem to have taken nation-building for granted. Nation-building must be given continued attention to give every citizen a feeling of belonging and a stake in his or her country. For instance, the federal character principle, as espoused in our constitution, was to guide the leadership to search for competent holders of major offices to be distributed within the entire nation and avoid the concentration in a few ethnic hands or geographical places as we currently have in the leadership of our security apparatus. To avoid such non-integrative situation, we have the National Assembly and the Federal Character Commission, both institutions which must raise alarm or call for correction of actions by the executive that violates the spirit of our constitution. In like manner, the spate of violence, criminality, organised crime, insurgency and terrorism have not received sufficient proactive ameliorative responses through transformational leadership – a determined leadership that brings cohesion and wholesomeness to the polity. Nobody and no group should feel excluded in his or her own country. Inclusion and popular participation must be visibly pursued in terms of politics, the economy and our overall social life. I am happy to be a member of the Coalition for Nigeria Movement. The movement is a pressure point towards good governance. This is the commencement for our popular and grassroots association. Of course, the membership will be free to collectively decide on whether CNM becomes a political party. If the Movement decides to transform itself and go into partisan politics, I will cease to be a member. And as a member for now, I accept all the conditions attached to membership of the Coalition. We must promote the CNM and mobilise membership all over the country including membership from the Diaspora. This is an opportunity for women and men, especially youths who have hitherto been feeling marginalised and helpless to go all out and bring friends and families into the CNM fold. The CNM will remain a popular socio-economic Movement open to all Nigerians who believe in the greatness of Nigeria and are ready to contribute to it. Some people have started worrying about the problem of personalities, in which some, in other efforts allocate positions to themselves. This Movement is not about personality or personalities; but about platform and system. Our system so far has not given us what we must have. For the first time we are building a platform from bottom-up. The Movement’s base is the grassroots and the people – all the people. When the platform is formed and the new system is put in place, the Movement may decide to sponsor/support candidates or transform itself into a political machine for that purpose. A socio-economic popular Movement needs to be the new vehicle to give hope to the youths, dignity and encouragement to women and security, confidence, and a promising future to all Nigerians. It must work to bring about a new democratic and efficient Nigeria. The Movement must speak up boldly and bluntly about the truth but politely in accordance with African culture. The Movement will also act collectively with political awareness, social responsibility, sustained and sustainable economic development and progress. Timidity and cowardice must not be part of its make-up or culture and neither must there be indifference. He who keeps quiet, inactive and indifferent in the face of bad act is an accomplice to that act. Self-interest, self-centredness and selfishness must be put aside. National interest must be paramount. The Movement will teach what it believes and practice what it teaches. It is necessary to make it clear that this movement does not regard itself as a third force. It sees itself as a popular movement that can accommodate all Nigerians irrespective of their political interest or affiliations and will propel Nigeria forward. Nigeria belongs to all Nigerians to be made right and the Coalition with others of the same view and like minds will leave no stone unturned to actualise God-given potentials of our country. The Movement will spearhead process, programme, policies and priorities to make Nigeria a great country playing its expected roles within West Africa, Africa and the world. Nigerian youth will be emboldened, empowered, have employment, and play meaningful and responsible roles in the leadership and governance of the country in all ramifications. Nigerian women will have dignity, responsibility and equal consideration with men in the affairs of Nigeria. The Movement is a means to an end. The end is Nigeria, unshackled, united, dynamic, strong, secure, cohesive, stable, and prosperous at home and respected outside, and as result, able to play decisive roles assertively within the comity of nations. A Nigeria of hope, aspiration and assurances which belongs to all with no sacred cow nor sacrificial lamb is what we want. My Nigeria, your Nigeria and our Nigeria with enchanting present and secure and glorious future. Join the Movement to build a new Nigeria that will be in the hands of God. http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/02/coalition-for-nigeria-what-obasanjo.html

Nigerian radio personality, television host, vlogger, and author Toke Makinwa has advise the female folks that a man can only change if he really wants you. The author who took to her instagram said love cannot be force out or on someone, a man will always change for someone he likes. Toke said she has seen when men leave a relationship after 5-10 years and marry someone else and what baffles her is not that they left for someone but they did all what the previous lady had ask them to do but they refused. Toke tried to encourage the ladies not to blame themselves or force them selves on any man because the problem is with the man. “This!!!! I saw this and screamed amen so loud, same thing I was telling someone yesterday. It has nothing to do with you, stop blaming yourself for not receiving the kind of love you gave out, sometimes these things don’t work because they just aren’t meant to be and that’s ok. People don’t change for who they want; people change when the time is right and quite frankly growth happens when you let it. That “bastard” is someone’s future husband and guess what? She’s not going to see that side of him. Not excusing bad behavior but as I grow and learn, I realize this thing called love cannot be forced. Love yourself enough to swallow that jagged little pill called truth and walk away with your head high. You’ll meet your own king and you won’t need to beg or force him to treat you right. Ladies this one is for you. #Relationshiptalk #OnBecomingFearless #Loveisagameofwin #evenifyouloseyoustillwin #Takethelesson” Toke who recently said she washes her bra after she has used it for 3 months is a divorcee after filing for divorce in March 9 2016. This advice may be as a result of the pains she gained during her marriage. http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/02/dont-force-him-to-love-you-toke-makinwa.html

Nigerian Rapper Onome Onokohwomo, better known by his stage name Yung6ix has spoken on how much he spent on his girl’s friend hair. The Warri star said that the girlfriend asked for a whooping N700, 000 to make her hair. It is believed he did it for the love he has for his girlfriend. Isn’t N700, 000 enough to invest in landed property in your area? In my area e don buy better house self. I just want to believe she has other plans for the huge sum of money as that was the only means to collect money from Yung6ix . I hope nobody tries to throw a mockery on him because the last time Akpororo tried he didn’t take it lightly on him. Yung6ix had earlier said he spent 3 million in a club, and Akpororo jokingly told him the money was enough to buy him a hit rather than spend it in a club. http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/01/unbelievable-what-yung6ix-did-to-his.html

The second eviction in the celebrity housemates reality TV Show has just occurred and 2 housemates, Muma Gee and Jaywon whose fans couldn’t come through with enough votes to keep them in the house. The housemates were initially nominated for eviction earlier in the week with three others – Eniola Badmus, Frederick Leonard &Yomi FashLanso were asked to canvas for votes from their fans and viewing public to enable them remain in the house. The three other Contestants got rewarded by their fans with large turnout of votes while the evicted Contestants had dismal votes. The announcement was made by the voice of the house in the early hours of Monday to vacate the house based on vote counts from our website www.celebrityhousemates.tv. The eviction has already set the house in panic as other contestants who remain in the house are now been extra careful and understands the main reason why they are in the house. It was like a Tsunami when the names were announced, while to some housemates it wasn’t really a surprise as some actually felt it was the right time for the contestants to vacate the house. For Muma Gee, it wasn’t a surprise to her at all as she was already anticipating her exit from the house, going by the lowest voted recorded from the website. Though she had a good time in the house, as she was able to learn a lot through the bundle of talents her other contestants came with, but it does not really go well with her and other housemates except for Frederick Leonard who she clinched with and spent the entire moment while in the house. “It was a very good opportunity for me to even meet with someone who understands the real me, and could let me out of my shell with his intelligence, and maturity. I had never met Frederick before the show and when I met him, it was like a new wine and life entirely for me”. Saying further that she enjoyed all their chats and intelligent discussions, that would be very helpful to her in her other areas of life exertion, but as for other housemates it wasn’t too good like you would think. “Some of them were living a fake life in the house, all in the name of winning the grand prize, but I lived my life like I always do in my everyday activities, not minding the fact that there was even an attached price for the winner of the show, weather the money or not it was a very great experience and opportunity for me to learn a lot even from some of the guests who came to talk to us. For Oluwajuwonlo Iledare aka Jaywon on his part, the experience was awesome and it was like starting a new life all over again. As he felt he knew it all and was already comfortable with what he knows and live with, but the participation opened his eyes and orientations to another aspect of life. “I used to believe I know it all, and for me I’m not used to doing some things before now, the last time I wash my cloths and attend to house chores was when I was growing up, but this house made me understand the fact that you need to attend to some things yourself and doing them is like just exercising and keeping a routine kind of life style. “I started getting tired of the house the day Ada Ameh was evicted, because she was my closest companion in the house, she took me like a brother and son, and was always there for me. I remembered when I was down in the house, Ada Ameh brought me medications and also brought tea to me every morning and night to ensure I was ok. And the other part of it was that she was evicted the same day Funky Mallam also got booted out, and funky mallam was my room-mate whom we discuss and gist together. Ever since then leaving the house was no longer going to hit me or shock me anymore” He commended the effort of the organizers for a well-articulated project and their attention to details, its not an easy task to put together celebrity adults in one house and control them, but they did it successfully, I will always want to come back again if I am opportunued to be invited in the future” He told us in a chat after his eviction. “I feel like going back to school, haven learnt so many things and seen the other side of life as an artiste”. There is tension in Taraba State Government House as the Chief of Staff to the governor, Rebo Usman, tendered his resignation letter to Governor Darius Ishaku yesterday. A source told Vanguard that Rebo Usman, in the early hours of yesterday, went to the office of the governor to present the letter. According to the source, “he came in without his usual Police escort; he was calm and steady. He went in silently and came out without discussing with anybody. “After a while, a private vehicle came in and his personal items were removed and parked into the vehicle, with which he left.” The source said there had been a rift between the former Chief of Staff and the governor. At a function at Jolly Nyame Stadium in Jalingo, Governor Ishaku had lamented the fall in internally-generated revenue, IGR, from timber sales. The timber sector, the highest revenue-earning sector in the state, was under the Ministry of Environment before it was moved to the office of the Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Revenue through the influence of the Chief of Staff. Other people at Government House were of the opinion that the resignation was in connection with the political rift between the governor and the senator representing Taraba South, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, who is the political leader of Donga Local Government Area, where Rebo Usman also comes from. Contacted, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Bala Danhabu, said he was yet to be briefed on the matter. He, however, promised to get back to Vanguard later. Meanwhile, at press time, Usman did not pick calls to his phone and also did not reply a text message. http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/01/tension-in-taraba-as-chief-of-staff.html

Nigerian comedian, Bovi has shared his two cents on the ongoing situation between actress Dorcas Shola Fapson and a Taxify driver she alleged tried to abduct and rape her. He took to his Instagram page to write her an open letter and to, as well encourage Dorcas to keep her chin up and not let the accusations from Nigerians affect her. He writes to her as a friend that refuses to remain silent “while a section of society bashed you these past few days”. Read his Open Letter below… Dear Dorcas, I’m compelled to write you a public letter because I have an overwhelming urge to participate in the public discuss of your recent episode. As a friend, I will feel I failed you by remaining quiet while a section of society bashed you these past few days. But rather than defend you to a group of people who don’t know you personally and who have made up their minds even in the face of overwhelming evidence, allow me to publicly tell you about your experience, what you did right and what you should have done differently. First off, your biggest crime in all of this was not fitting into the stereotype! You’ve been dragged in many sections for being bold and courageous under fire. While the taxi driver was taken you to a wrong destination, just because your voice was firm and assertive, it seemed as though nothing troubling was happening. While the driver restrained you from coming down from the taxi, you pepper sprayed him and your voice and resolve was still not broken. This too doesn’t fit the stereotype. If it was a scene out of a movie, the director would probably ask you to scream, cry, be shaken and even beg to be let go. In the eyes of many, you were too bold, too calm, too calculated for a lady. To this I say a big kudos. Don’t stop. Don’t change. Because the fact remains, as far as he took you to a destination against your will in the middle of the night, you were abducted. That is a crime punishable by law. Somewhere, some girl is inspired by your boldness. Next time though, it will be wiser to get down from the car as quickly as possible. Do not take chances or hesitate. Safety first should be your watch word. Cynthia hesitated in festac. It didn’t end well. If you had a PR expert by your side the next day, just before you posted those videos explaining what actually transpired, he/she would have worn you a very thick cardigan and wrapped you in a blanket. You would have been asked to speak in a “victim tone”. All this would have been channeled to swing the narrative in your favor. Kudos to you, you weren’t trying to milk the situation, neither were you thinking of the mileage those videos will accumulate. You see, perception is reality and in these parts, your outfit together with your still firm and assertive tone is synonymous with “troublesome girl” “ashawo” “runs”. Pictures speak louder than words. On this issue I think what you should have done differently was to change the outfit. But keep the assertive tone. When I was in Uni my dean of students took one look at me and concluded I was part of a bad gang. In reality I was just broke, hungry, angry and ugly. That’s the power of perception. We live in a society where women are not encouraged to live in big houses as single ladies so that they don’t scare suitors away. This is basically catering to bloated egos while benching our women. It is a shame but that is our reality. I know you are miffed at the accusations leveled against you. Never let such bother you. Truth is, those who judged and condemned you don’t really hate you. A good majority of them hate themselves. They are filled with hate and they can only give what they have; hate! So understand that it’s never really about you. It’s nothing personal actually. We are with you. Learn and keep growing. Stay strong and succeed. See you at work. Bovi http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/01/actress-dorcas-fapsons-biggest-crime.html
