The only reason I can think of is that after they had convinced Xavi to stay, he made some comments about how it would be difficult to compete with Madrid cos they're basically broke, and maybe Laporta took offense to that. Still doesn't make much sense.

Laporta seems not to have a great track record with club legends recently, even Sevilla manager Quique Sanchez mentioned it in a presser some minutes/hours ago.

Your opinion. Respect others opinion even if it goes contrary to yours. There are several coaches who won their first continental trophy aged 57 and above so age is not a first criteria for rating anyone as a top Coach with reference to Gasperini(Mind you beating Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp at Anfield was no fluke as he repeated his finesse in demasking Leverkusen's seeming invincibility). . Inzaghi is not a defensive Coach if you really watched him from when he arrived Inter Milan. Do yourself a favour by checking the number of goals Inter Milan has scored since he took over.

It is true that we might not be able to compete with Madrid for now, but Xavi coming out to say dat means he is afraid. He doesn't have a fighting mentality, and we don't that for our young players. He is already finding excuses for his defeat next season. Our players are too soft. They don't always accept that they make mistakes but they will rather be saying rubbish which is proudly sponsored by Xavi Hernandez. No doubt that he is our club legend as a player. I never wanted him to leave this way, but if messi collect him own, anybody can collect. You can sign him, he is available.

Lol, Inzaghi is not defensive at all. He's very adaptable like Anceloti. That he's playing 3-5-2 doesn't make him defensive. Motta tried to explain this thing. He said you can be ultra defensive in a 4:3:3 and be ultra attacking in a 5:3:2.

Inzaghi is a top/modern coach, Gasperin is also good!

That is why I've been saying it would have been better to reach a compromise stick with pochettino till next season before laying him off for a better manager.

Simone Inzaghi is a very good coach. I like his style. There was a season sef aside this current season that Inter Milan under Inzaghi finished second and scored the most goals.
