It was painful watching Van Der Vaart playing in central midfield. The dude was so weak, players just kept drifting past him. Obviously Sneijder has better defensive qualities than VDV but dude is feeling too big these days to help out his defence.

Contrast with Schweinsteiger who controls the game from his own half and still produced two sumptuous assists.
