goodfortun:
Hi mamas. Wanna share my experience and for us to discuss. When my baby clocked 15months, I noticed heat rash esp in the diaper area and his back. Those places where he sweats a lot and are usually covered. It became very bad, moved to his chest and thighs. Saw a dermatologist who prescribed creams. After a few weeks, there was improvement and I felt relief. Even shared the progress here. But after a while, it became worse and started itching him. When he scratches it , it starts bleeding. Was that bad. From this page, i bought the red leaves, boiled and bathed him with it yet no improvement. Dermatologist was giving us other creams yet nothing 3months later. Someone suggested iya alagbo and as much as I detest trado-medical stuff, I was too desperate and I went along.
As soon as she saw him, she said it'll clear soon. Mixed black soap and Shea butter for us and added agbo to be drunk and bathed in. In about a week, it was clearing. I gave him to drink for 3days and stopped but he continued bathing until the agbo thinned out. In two weeks everything had cleared and my baby's skin went back to normal.

However; my 8week old has also developed similar rash. On his neck and diaper area. Will start him on the same therapy but want to know who else has this experience. How can it be prevented. They said it's eela but it's not characterized with weight loss or thinning hair as is common with eela. Just a bit bothered and wanto find a preventive mechanism. Any info is welcome.

Thanks

So you want to give your 8week old agbo to drink too?

Smh!

Hello mamas,

What beverage can I give my 15 month olds pls? I've given Milo a couple of times and they like it but i feel its too sugary. I checked junior Horlicks online but I don't think its readily available in market nor for children younger than two years.
They have very good appetite for food so I need something that can come in place of cereal, pls don't waka pass o.

Soymilk, and by this I don't mean making soy milk but adding soya bean powder to milk and water until its not too watery, GB used to like it.
Plain cocoa, tho it's bitter cheesy

Hi mamas!

I need recommendation on a good soap and lotion for a 6months old.

I have a very light skin baby boy. Up till now I use Johnson baby soap (the yellow packet that is white inside). For cream I use Shea butter mixed with coconut oil and palm kernel oil (I mix it myself)

Recently my mother in law has been on my neck that my baby is getting darker. Please what do you all use for your fair babies?

That Johnsons is not a nice soap at all. You can try the Johnsons that comes in pink pack or sebamed baby soap, its really good.

Shea butter should be ok.

And this doctor just packed antibiotics for me. I finished one & half pack, I'd leave the rest biko. Mine is mostly on stomach, legs, laps, hands... Two appeared on one of my butts and another two under my breast, then one on my neck. Very very nonsense winch something. I was scared, i thought twas measels or chicken pox.
Eya. I can not dispute your Dr, dear. It might be different from what I am experiencing or the same but I did not see the Dr as my mum said it will clear on its own. She calls it omugwo rashes. And it is clearing.
