Ms. YYYZZZ, all is well. My own is this. I used 3 names when I was admitted to UNAD in 2000. When my certificate came out in 2008, they put just two names, omitting my middle name and even spelled my last name incorrectly. I did notary public (N5,000), send documents to US along with the notary public. When I went for my passport in 2009 I put in 4 names, though all the 4 names are the only names on my birth certificate. When apply for visa I gave them 4 names, nobody queried me for why but instead I was addressed by my last name. Now in school in US, they only write my 2 names (i.e my fist name and the last name) and call me by my middle name which is not even on my school certificate. Who ever doesn't like it should go to hell. Worry less Ms. Y[url=http][/url] inasmuch those names are on your BC.

Here it goes :
The statement of Account I submitted to my school for I-20 bears my Brother Company’s name
And the money there covered the duration of my Masters program with some dollars in excess.
But my major head ache now is that my brother has not gotten contracts as such from Oil Company in the last two months as the contracts are seasonal. The last statement of account I collected from him which I submitted to my school ended with mid-september transactions. But now the money in the account is far less than the former one I submitted to the school.
My questions now is can I used the same one with September dates for my interview or I should try and seek other means but I have already specified on my DS-160 that my brother will be my sponsor?What will be implications of mentioning another person as a sponsor in addition to my brother should they asked for my sponsor?
I need your candid advice as I have patiently written all the exams (GRE & TOEFL), even made effort to get admission in the top hundred out of best 1,500 from US news report on University rankings.
Gurus in the house help me out as I am very new to all this visa stuffs though I have read almost all the posts now and more comfortable than I do before end of last month when I came across this Blog.I should be obliged to your response in advance.

Awww sorry! At least you're aware that test scores make a lot of difference. Your answers were good enough and your sponsor seems OK to me. You will get the visa next summer/fall. Write SAT, apply to better schools and maybe get a scholarship. For undergrads, show more passion for the course than professional advancement because its assumed that you may not have any work experience whatsoever. ..."Right from my childhood, I've always wanted to ......"

Jimtosam is correct.

If your brother cannot raise enough money before your interview, try to find somebody else to use as a sponsor (preferably family member) and make up a believable story that answers why they're sponsoring you. Then fill another DS-160. This would work if your I-20 states 'family' as sponsor. If all effort fails, go with the old bank statement from September and PRAY. Its better than nothing.

jimtosam: I believe the cash in the account now covers the tuition? If not, ask your brother to upgrade d balance by borrowing. At least d cash must be able to cover the tuition and fees stated on ur I-20. Even though it's better to be far beyond it since it's a company's account. And if your brother can lay hands on some past awarded contract letters, you may go to the embassy with them. Also, do you have a strong tie with the company. I don't know if you work with him or not. If yes, study leave letter will be a good idea. Cos, You must be able to prove beyond reasonable doubt why your brother's company which I believe is a limited liability decided to sponsor you. What do they stand to gain after completion of ur program. If you are coming to US for a oil related program, that's a plus. Even if you are not, anything u r coming here to study, find a way to relate it with the company's vision.You know as a limited liability company, it has many stakeholders.Your brother is just the owner because he has the largest shares. Even, if he has 99% of the shares, the owner(s) of the remaining 1% is (are) still stakeholder(s). So, make ur case official. About sponsor: is ur brother name written on the I-20 or the company's name?If your brother name, the answer is; my brother is sponsoring me through his company's account. Then, in d sponsor letter that your brother will give along with the statement, he should mention that the board of the company are fully aware of his decision. And also attach a proof that show him as the sole signatory to the account. Cos, they want account that can be easily accessible. I hope this help.

Here is the status quo : The cash does not cover both tuition fees & living expenses stated on my I-20. I just finished service recently and as a result no work experience.I do not have a strong tie with his company as I am in Biological science, opting to study Biotechnology at the graduate level. So, it has little affinity to his company services.
My brother's name is not on the I-20 (I-20 only specifies family type whereas I filled my brother on DS-160 I submitted ignorantly as am new to this Blog).Thus, he will be sponsoring me through his company's account. He is also the sole signatory to the company as the managing director. Do I still need to clarify anything oh! Please help my innocent soul oh!

My bad, I didn't understand your question. Initially you wanted to use your brother, but now you've decided to use your uncle as your sponsor?

shoggie: . Yes, if my brother owns will not work on time as my uncles own(Dr. & Dr. Mrs XYZ.)as lecturers seem more appealing to me now than my brother's who bears same name as mine. Thanks for your remarks on that word!
