Verification:

- The subdomain is listed in the crt.sh/?q=%.nimc.gov.ng official
SSL certificate logs, confirming it is legitimately issued under the nimc.gov.ng domain.

- Visiting the said subdomain shows pages with thousands of posts and news-style content entirely unrelated to government services.

Why this matters:

- A government domain is being misused, which undermines public trust.
- This could indicate a security breach, misconfiguration, or even insider abuse.
- Hosting personal or sensational content under a .gov.ng domain exposes NIMC to reputational damage and potential legal liability.

Implications for Nigerians:

- If a subdomain can be misused like this, it raises the question: what else could be compromised?
