I hope you learnt a very valuable lesson.

Keep friends and family (especially the entitled specie) far away from your business, unless they have genuinely earned the position and have the discipline to respect both you and what is involved.

Don't wait for another friend or family member to teach you a more expensive lesson.

Learn from other people's bitter experiences so you don’t have to learn all of them the hard way.

In your case the lesson feels extra painful because the investment was relatively heavy, but take it as school fees.
