Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy S8 will be unveiled at an Unpacked event in New York and Lond on March 29, also at a separate event in Korea on 30 March. You can watch this Samsung Upacked live event using the Samsung Unpacked app from Google Play now for a free live stream of the event. According to Forbes, the small print in the Target ad reveals that customers will be able to pre-order the Galaxy S8 (and presumably the larger Galaxy S8 Plus), from April 2nd. Specculations has it that Samsung Galaxy S8 will come in two variants: Samsung could launch its next smartphone in two screen size variants - 5.7-inch and 6.2-inch. The larger variant is expected to be called the Galaxy S8 Plus, which is said to have the model number SM-G9550/SM-G9550X; the smaller Galaxy S8 variant, on the other hand, is said to have the model number SM-G9500/SM-G9500X. More recently however, screen sizes of 5-inch and 6-inch were tipped for the same models.

Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to feature a 5.5-inch 4K (2160x4 pixels) Super AMOLED display and will boast of an impressive pixel density of 806ppi. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy S8+ is said to have a 6.2-inch display with QHD resolution.


Samsung Galaxy S8 is pegged to have a dual-edged curved display with almost negligible bezel and 18:9 aspect ratio; the display may be named 'Infinity Display'. People familiar with the matter said some features that Apple hopes to integrate into iPhones, such as curved screens, weren’t ready for this year’s models," it added.

1) iPhone 8 is going to run on iOS 11 software and an Apple A11 chipset that's more powerful than the current A10. The move from the 16nm A10 Fusion to a 10nm A11 Fusion would make significant gains. 2) A 5.15in 'main' screen with a resolution of 2,436 x 1,125 pixels and a separate 'function area' across the bottom. This is likely to be where the integrated fingerprint scanner will live, and it may operate like the Touch Bar on the latest MacBook Pro laptops and no physical home button. This has also more recently been rumored by sources, claiming that a curved AMOLED display is one of more than ten prototypes that Apple is considering - and that the phone could even have a higher-than-QHD resolution.

Lite-On Semiconductor is rumored to be providing integrated chip components for the wireless charging module in the iPhone 8. The manufacturer will reportedly supply bridge rectifiers needed to reduce thermal issues and maintain efficiency in wireless power transmission, and Apple is also perhaps sourcing components from MediaTek, Foxconn, Pegatron, and Luxshare.

Nokia 3310 (2017) has been announced by HMD Global and Nokia last month. The new Nokia 3310 is one of the most exciting to debut at the show. HMD Global which a tech company in contract with the Nokia brand has made a number of changes to the new Nokia 3310 including addition of a 2MP rear camera, Bluetooth connectivity, and an overhauled Snake game.
