FreeGlobe:
The real developments, the flyovers in Awka, the quality road constructions, security of lives and property (no more govt sponsored kidnappings and ndi mpawiazu), ANSIPPA, investment attractions, upper Iweka, entertainment, night life, many more I can't mention here in just under 9 months. FYI Anambra's IGR stood at 500 million/month in 8 years under obi's regime, something obiano has pushed to 1.1 billion in just over 5 months of resuming office and is planning to push it to 3 billion. This is what we call governance. until Peter obi refunds all the balance he stole from our IGR in 8 years, he will never know peace
Bridges: Obi did a lot of bridges across the whole state (I can provide link if you contest that)

Roads: Give example of the Obiano quality roads since we are yet to hear of any aside those done by Obi.

Security: Obi started the Upper Iweka revolution. He chased a lot of criminals out of Onitsha and Anambra. He started the Joint Task Force which Obiano is building on. He drastically reduced crime compared to Chris Ngige whose activities fanned the embers of criminality and lawlessnes in the state. During Obi's tenure, the were relatively insignificant reports of robberies, you could only hear of kidnapping which targeted mostly the big guys around many states. So, he started the security revolution Obiano is accomplishing right now, Obiano couldn't have started it.

IGR: Ngige and his agents made sure Anambra's IGR never entered state coffers; even the claimed N450million Ngige and his cohorts claim was just a facade to cover up their looting lifestyle. Meanwhile, Obi raised the IGR to N600million. He then started putting resources into place to make sure the IGR increases. Revenue, ANSIPPA, Lands offices were all started by Peter Obi. Obiano wouldn't have achieved N1.1billion if he'd started from the scratch.

Obiano is not even touching as many areas as Peter Obi touched. Is Obiano fighting political wars? He does not have to because Peter has done those for him to stay focused on the bigger goals.

The problem with you Peter obi praisesingers is when someone criticizes your master, instead of you to raise contrary claims with facts, you divert attention by saying the person is not from Anambra, like I have time to debate that with you. The same way your master Peter obi will respond to any criticism about his government as criticism on the igbo race. Since you say obi was begged openly by okonjo iweala and other ministers, why has he not been appointed minister yet despite many cabinet reshuffles by jonathan, including minister of aviation which he schemed so much for. Or is it Dangote that has never invested 1 kobo in Anambra? Any governor could invite anybody to say anything about him.
As a matter of fact, I'm presently in Anambra and the state has just started to witness real development after obi's 8 years. This same man pegged Anambra IGR at 500million a month for 8 years, something the present governor has more than doubled withing few months of assuming power. Is it security? Awka? Where exactly did obi do the good things that only you and 9inches know?
Who commenced work at upper Iweka?
What was Anambra's IGR before Obi's regime?
Obiano is giving final touches to Obi's remaining works and commencing his own works. Nothing more.
Since you could not see Obi's works in schools, hospitals, roads & bridges, agric, water scheme, security, etc then may you continue being blind forever, olodo.

@Chigold101, the problem with unrepentant Chris Ngige's praise-singers like foolglobe is whenever Obi's achievement is highlighted, instead of them to raise contrary claims with facts, they start off with name-calling and vague 'Peter-Obi-wasted-8yrs' rant. Why can't they be specific and mention the sector and what he did not do so we can all discern.

Peter obi is a shameless man who after looting the state for 8 years under the guise of saving money for the state (in his bank by the way) is now running around begging to be appointed minister
Shame on you, provide the links of your accusations. I like what I'm doing to you on this thread, you have no hiding place. It's only your death that can save you, but I'd rather have you die slowly in your present spiteful state.

A lil salt to your injury: Peter Obi is presently the Chairman of the Technical Committee of the Economic Management Team. He was in Washington as part of the Federal Govt. Delegate to the 2014 World Bank/IMF Spring meeting

PoliticsISIS Fighters 'have Contracted Ebola': WHO by 9inches(op): 1:26pm On Jan 02, 2015
... Militants allegedly attended hospital in Mosul showing signs of disease
... WHO spokesman said they are trying to 'reach out' to officials in ISIS areas
... Disease reportedly brought to Mosul by 'terrorists from several countries'
... Extremist group said to have executed 11 Mosul doctors in past few weeks

The World Health Organisation is investigating reports that ISIS militants have been showing up at an Iraqi hospital with Ebola.

According to three media outlets an undisclosed number of militants displaying signs of the disease attended a hospital in the ISIS-held city of Mosul, 250 miles north of Baghdad.

While the reports, from Kurdish and pro-Iraqi sources, remain unconfirmed, WHO spokesman Christy Feig said the group are trying to reach out to officials in ISIS-held areas to offer help.

UN workers are currently banned from entering ISIS-controlled areas in both Iraq and Syria so it is unlikely an operation in the area could be carried out.

Ms Feig told Mashable: 'We have no official notification from [the Iraqi government] that it is Ebola.'
The symptoms of ebola are similar to those of other diseases including malaria and yellow fever.

Mosul has been under control of ISIS since June 2014 and over the past few weeks militants have reportedly executed more than a dozen doctors for refusing to treat injured fighters.

According to a report in Iraq's pro-government newspaper, al Sabaah, the disease was brought to Mosul by 'terrorists' arriving 'from several countries' and Africa.

The symptoms of Ebola, which include nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, bleeding and bruising, are similar to those of other diseases including malaria and yellow fever meaning it could easily have have been misdiagnosed.

In addition, very few ISIS fighters are believed to have travelled up from West Africa where the Ebola outbreak originated with most coming from areas where there have been no reports of the disease.

The reports have appeared in pro-government and Kurdish media but if true it could have catastrophic implications for people in ISIS-held areas as the group is against western science and medicine.

It is not known if any of the surviving doctors in Mosul are equipped to test for Ebola or trained to treat patients and prevent the spread of the disease.

Yesterday the United States and its allies staged 29 air strikes on Islamic State targets in Syria and Iraq on Wednesday, the Combined Joint Task Force said.

The action in Syria included 17 strikes near the cities of Al Raqqah, Dayr az Zawr and Kobani. A variety of Islamic State buildings, fighting positions and units were hit.

In Iraq, 12 strikes targeted Islamic State buildings, fighting positions and units near the cities of Mosul, Fallujah and Sinjar.

Fighters, bombs and remotely controlled aircraft were used.

It is time to be objective and not fight among ourselves as these politicians are here again for our votes.
I saw this in APC/Buhari manifesto:
he says he will “Generate, transmit and distribute electricity on a 24/7 basis. and I want some clarity.

The ambiguity of APC and Buhari change slogan has been a concern to me. My one vote and that of my wife need an explicit road map to this change from APC and Buhari for us to cast our vote come February 2015.
On electricity, I need the following clarifications from Buhari to convince me that change is coming;
I want Buhari to tell me the total number of power in megawatts that Nigeria required to have constant 24/7 power in every home in Nigeria.
I want him in all honesty to tell me the number of years (1 year, 2 years, 3 years or 4 years) that will take him to build the power plants that will generate and this amount of electricity.
After generation, I want him to tell me the number of communities that are not connected to the national grid and the number of years it will take him to link the entire country including sambisa forest area to the national grid.
I want him to also tell me the total number of transformers needed to ensure electricity is distributed to every household from Otueke in Bayelsa to Chibok in Borno and from Kaura-Namoda in Zamfara to Oshodi in Lagos.
He should tell me how long it will take him to get transformers to all the communities across the entire landscape of Nigeria for effective distribution of electricity.
Finally on achieving these set goals within the timeline he will provide, I want him to tell me what I will pay for the electricity to enjoy 24/7 hours power supply.
I need these answers to take my stand on 2015, not war of words between him and anybody.
I swear, if Buhari ever does give these explanations, I personally will guarantee him my kindred's votes, no jokes.

Last information before you rest in pieces- Peter Obi was the first governor to be appointed Honorary Special Adviser on Finance to the President, despite being an APGA front-man with Governor of Adamawa State, Rear Admiral Murtala Nyako (rtd) being appointed Honorary Adviser on Agriculture. Peter Obi was a state governor and at thesame time appointed Honorary Special Adviser on Finance to the President, the first time a governor will be so appointed. Remember he was in an opposing party APGA which took away power from PDP in the state.

His indisputable discreet and judicious use of public resources marks him out as special specie in a seemingly shark-infested political terrain. His grasp of all financial strategies and details is simply overwhelming. Through strategic planning, prudent and transparent management of resources, as well as reduction in the cost of governance, his administration achieved integrated and comprehensive development in all sectors without borrowing or owing anybody.

Now you know why he is a rare gem, don't you....? You are welcome

The "paramount leader" is not a formal position nor an office unto itself. No Chinese leader since Deng Xioping was below 70 years of age when they assumed office. In fact Jiang Ze Min was in his 80's when he assumed the leadership of China and the Chinese economy not only grew but became an export oriented economy and the second largest economy in the world.
No, I don't insult when I haven't been insulted.

@bolded.. Then I should assume you do not believe physical strength is required in leadership.

"Deng never held office as the head of state, head of government or General Secretary (that is, the leader of the Communist Party), he nonetheless was considered the "paramount leader" of the People's Republic of China from December 1978 to 1992. As the core of the second-generation leaders, Deng shared his power with several powerful older politicians commonly known as the Eight Elders." -Wikipedia

A lot of people like me vote because of the candidate and not the party. If GEJ cross-carpets to APC today, many people like me will still vote him. Obi was somebody before GEJ became president and he never depended on GEJ for anything personal. Rather, it is GEJ that needs him judging by his personality and achievements in Anambra state. Obi is a great asset to the presidency having held a position in the economic team even while still serving as a governor.. What does that tell you about his quality? Obi had to be begged by Okonjo, GEJ, Wike and co to come and contribute at the centre.
Obi is one of our credible public figures who still has integrity even after holding a public office for 8years. He was about retiring from politics for good before being sought after by the presidency.
