MadCow1: The man with the Gun is the law...
But people need to learn to stand their grounds.
He bailed himself. The police let him go with the same laptop for which he was detained. Yet he paid money to leave the cell.
I believe that they size up their preys before pouncing. I have no receipt for my laptop and I would be danmed if one computer illiterate policeman gives me grief for my laptop.
Roll with their punches, gather info on the officers like name, rank and stuff and strike them when they think your guard is down.
I love it when I reverse the oppression and the police are the ones begging me.. .. On point! Everything starts with knowing what the law says about what... It helps you to know your ground and where to stand; it also helps you to know when and where you can bend the law to suit you. But hey, it's Naija where no one would want to expend energy and time doing that because 'money is everything'. |

tolustx: They are simply insane. Just like politicians, They portray themselves as doing work wen all they do is meaningless accussation and exploitation. Who says bail is free? I have been arrested a coupla times while not found guilty of any offence and always come out without no bail. What do you expect when majority of Nigerians are either ignorant of the law or too afraid to exercise the power the constitution bestowed on them? The useless police officers will keep intimidating the vulnerable masses knowing that there is a great chance they will go scot-free. The schools should do something about this. Enlightenment programmes are also broadcasted on the media but our people would rather opt to watch an uninspiring and IQ-reducing home movie. We as the masses are to blamed sometimes for some our lapses. |

Stillfire: Nigeria's architecture is too cliche. I can point a Nigerian building from Pluto. So uninspiring. Most countries have their own unique specs when building structures. Weather conditions, topography, culture, etc. influence the choice of designs. Now say thanks |

Hollyb: in my own opinion. Why don't you seek the face of God concerning it. God might even lead you to a Godly woman over there who is also a Nigerian. And if you must come to Nigeria too you still need his leading so that you won't meet an hypocrite who wil change for the worst after you've married her. Wish you good luck It doesn't rule out the fact that he still needs to put in work. |

Career › Re: His Rich Father Wants Him Out As An Apprentice- Pls Advice!!! by 9inches(m): 8:59pm On Dec 12, 2014 |
Rexceedo: Tnx! He earlier ask his dad, whether he'll open a shop 4 him afta learnin d trade 4 1yr.... But his dad persist dat he'll not give out his money to a callow.... Which implies he want him to be a 'boyee' -- spendin 7yrs or above servin a master..... For the family pleadin; he's a hard-core man who hardly listen to his wife while angry In that case, I would not suggest disobeying his old man. He should go learn the trade and go back to school when he is independent. |
