True G. Edward Griffin in The Creatures from Jekyll Island, on the Rockerfeller's General Education Board founded in 1903 wrote The purpose of education was to use the power of money, not as to raise the level of education in America, as was widely believed in the time, but to influence the direction of that education. .... The object was to use the classroom to teach attitudes that encourage people to be passive and submissive to their rulers. The goal was and is - to create citizens who were educated enough for productive work under supervision but not enough to question authority or seek to rise above their class. True education was to be restricted to the sons and daughters of the elite. For the rest, it would be better to produce skilled workers with no particular aspirations other than to enjoy life |

tushburg:Accepted, quota system is doing us more harm than good. But that's not to say there are no exceptionally bright students from the "educationally disadvantaged" States. In my undergraduate days, the three best students in my class were from the core North (the ones we call 'educationally disadvantaged'). And many other guys from the west, south and east graduated with 3rd class and pass even though they defied all their competitors to get the admission. So, my argument still stands. It's either the system failed them by not empowering them for the real world (because I believe a good system can transform a dullard into a genius), or they (the students) failed themselves by over relying on a faulty system. So, whether you're from the 95 or 5%, if you educate yourself well enough, the sky will be your springboard. |
TheSociopath:Yes I was. But, I educated myself well enough because I knew the system by itself couldn't make me the man I wanted to be. |
Don't blame them, blame the system. The system has a faulty education curriculum that can't prepare you for the real world. Don't blame the system, blame them. Most of us are damn too lazy. We wait for the system to spoon feed us. We are too unwilling to educate ourselves, forgetting that The best kind of education is self-education. The |
Indeed, these guys have lost it. Will stopping public officials from flying first class put food on the tables of Nigerians? WILL it fuel their cars and generators? Will it pay their bills? The answer is NO! There are more pressing needs begging attention and you're here talking nonsense. If they really mean it, then let PmB sell off all the Jets (he once termed "wasteful" in the presidential fleet, and maybe leave just one for his WORLD TOURISM ASSIGNMENT. |
Calm down jor... Who took the pix sef?? This pix are either stage managed or photoshoped. |
Lwkmd.... This is bleeping hilarious. But, it's the truth served in Black and white. You can't just criticize their Lord and supreme emperor na. He is sinless of course. dammytosh:Your ignorance still shock me! If Mr president is judging Rivers as the deadliest based on three States election (Kogi, Bayelsa and Rivers) out of 36 States, don't you think that's dumb? |
dammytosh:I would have called you a buffoon, but, today is good Friday so I'll pass. Talking about Rivers state being the deadliest in terms of elections, what then would you say of Kano and Kaduna in previous elections? Can the violence in Rivers be compared to that of any of the aforementioned States? Make una fear God small na. Had Buhari not won the last election, what do you think the story in kaduna and Kano would be? My friend, get your facts right before defending the Daura man. |

Sanchez01:That's the problem with our industry bro. These guys will sing great songs to win talent shows and when they hit limelight, they start churning out trash just to stay relevant in the industry. Just take a look at Praiyse, Iyanya and co. It's heart breaking to see how these guys are contributing to the fall of our industry. |
Sanchez01:That's the terrible thing with our industry today, great acts become famous, they get swayed by the delusion in the industry and throw away their talents. Imagine guys like Nyanya and co who won project fame singing great songs suddenly start singing rubbish after becoming famous just to stay relevant. Ain't we missing something??! |
Good music is literally dead in Nigeria. Our musicians don't know what a live performance looks like, what they do mostly is have the DJ play the song and they just jump around the stage lip-synching. I remember a very shameful event that happened last year during the campaigns when Harrysong was performing energetically on stage not knowing that his mic was bad. All along, it was the dj's song that was playing until the moderator changed his mic. |
So you think he's insinuating MI is hating on him?!
Bwuah haha... It will take him a lifetime to beat MI's achievements. #nonesense |
This guy and Asa are in a class of their own. If only we have more of them in our industry, our music won't be the joke it is today. #GoodWorkMan |
They (our musicians) have a sick audience that buy the crap they churn out. If we don't buy and don't pay to watch them perform sh*t, then they'll do the right thing. |
These are pictures of a public primary school in Igabi Local Government area of Kaduna state. The school is a two blocks structure with six classes. Almost all the classes are inhabitable. Some with not more than one desk, leaky roofs, damaged floors and no doors. Surrounded by heavy bush serving as the school's toilet. I wonder what kinda leaders we are breeding in such school!

raayah:You're right... This is sheer evil. Even the Devil will think twice before committing such. More painful is the fact that these sit-tight rulers would rather hold on to power, loot the treasury till only God knows when. Africa must wake up. |
Africa is such a wonderful continent, where people with ordinary high school cert are allowed to run the affairs of nations. In this 21st century where technology is making globalization indispensable, I wonder how such men can function. It's even more shameful to see the educated ones willingly ready to give their lives for these uneducated diehard rulers. #Africawakeup. |
in the presidential fleet, and maybe leave just one for his WORLD TOURISM ASSIGNMENT.
Harry Song must have been engrossed with the lies that he forgot he was lying to himself. You can imagine. Unfortunately, this same Harry Song started out as a live performer, singing at a popular club every night before he was discovered.
