Sorry about your loss, your pain and ordeal in the hands of these men of the underworld. Our greatest thanks should go to Jehovah who made it possible that you survived this ordeal. I have heard experiences of those who even after ransom is paid are been killed for whatever reasons. My advice would be to avoid retribution and unnecessary suspicion, it could be even make matters worse, it could make you gather enemies who could be innocent. Please leave matter in Jehovah's hands, report to appropriate security agencies, and stay on your lane and be grateful to Jah that you are alive. Mehn south is frightening, northern Nigeria is relatively safe compared to most states in the south. The crime rate is just alarming |
This is really pathetic. The rate people mind their business could really be deadly in some circumstances... |
They said off national grid and I ask how would the power be generated. A lot of white elephant projects with no detailed way of reaching the goal |
All these analysis made sense. I love this forum |
Well I keep praying for the best for this country |
there is karma and karma is a bitch, if you weren't caught, would have been pleading for forgiveness ? would you have tried turning a new leave. Bros sorry you would pay for your sins, first by been on awaiting trial for 6 years in kirikiri then be sentenced for 40 years imprisonment with super hard labour.. |
I dont know what to believe again |
Most of the information posted here is true. Please before getting a vehicle, make sure you go with a competent mechanic or driver to assist you make a good choice if you are not very aware of what you are getting |
Impressive, there are a lot of startup funding flying around, just that in this clime we are not usually informed maybe because we keep preoccupying ourselves with unserious issues |
hardwerk:Idiot oya justify this moral recklessness, listen ma friend I say what I say not cos I want likes by immoral minded fellows like you but because it is the truth and the truth is always unpopular. This billionaire in this context is someone people look up to as a role model, someone who reached the peak so far as getting certificates is concerned. These are vices small small boys in the likes of Davido and the rest of em should be doing. Take it or not, the billionaire acted foolishly |
Why do I have this feeling that Africans would really prove they are Africans irrespective of how high in the social cadre they attain |
john1035:I support the issue of supporting local contractors as against foreign contractors, buh you see on the issue of paying in dollars is a No No, thankGod you said most school of thoughts would disagree on that, why would I disagree with you? Be like say you no know Nigerians, ask yourself, all those money in dollars recovered by this government stashed in accounts and hidden in houses and offices are from where? These were dollars that were shared during the buildup of the last election, these money were never used by those they were disbursed to, instead it was stashed and under utilised. Sometime ago the C.B.N mentioned a bogus sum of dollars are domiciled in Nigerian domiciliary accounts without been used. Bros take this or leave it, paying contractors in dollars would worsen the situation cos you are creating a new set of round trippers who would delay the project to ensure they get the best value of their dollars |

Mehn shey we were told to fight for our rights, i think that's what they are doing Ain't anything wrong here na |
Pre wedding shoots are overrated these days. The efforts and energy channeled in this, is less than what is channeled in most marrriages, and that is why we see most marriages crash these days. Honestly my pre-wedding pictures must be da bomb. My guess this is a fashion shoot and not any pre-wedding ish |
Its been proven that with more technological advances comes more crime, no wonder more developed cities have higher crime rate. It is normal, it is expected, buh commo is stealing in exams not corruption? Cos i know corruption has a death penalty in China So why not pack all these chinco thieves wanna be and gas em out take me serious at your own peril |
asuustrike2009:It is not a proven fact that indigenous companies cant manage themselves, that we have random cases dont make it all cant manage themselves. Well i am talking to a sentimental fellow cos your signature shows that you either work for MTN directly or indirectly, you might be sympathetic to them and your wishes would be for MTN to acquire Etisalat. Well i dont blame you cos we have a wack and foolish set of people in management who might still do the unthinkable of somehow making sure that MTN has their hands on etisalat. |
john1035:Bros i agreed with all your claims except on the issue of giving indegenious contractors the money that was pumped into forex. Bros do you know that Nigeria is a complicated entity, do you know we know how to defy odds, do you know we know that something might work on paper, work in other african countries but would never work in Nigeria. You never said in which currency the money would be given to indigenous contractors, weather in dollars or naira. Bros naija matter strong ooo, that is why i less-blame the government... |
Freelady:No the 150k you have there is just combination of numerical characters without any monetary value in the real world. When the warning was been sounded front and back, you guys were just talking gilberish. |
thesicilian:That smart cities stuff caught ma attention. Can we talk on that? Currently working on a smart city project. |
1kinggy:Honestly it is not sustainable, but all hell would have been let loose if the C.B.N never intervened, probabaly the exchange rate would have been close to 700 naira to a dollar if not more. Well its aa quick fix, while the government thinks of better long term measures to keep the naira afloat |
austinvsb1:my email is on my profile, send me a mail and lets take it from there |
donborg:I was posted go the north, my orientation changed, I still remain in the north till date. |
NwaAmaikpe:Bros we plenty for here, and to be honest we be true Ibo man, besides I used to have same orientation before until 2013 changed everything |
malton:Honestly, sometimes they even pounce on their fellow Muslims just because he is from yoruba, middle belt or even their fellow northerners just because he is not sympathetic to their cause. Though I view this as a random threat, a part of me still nurtures some fear not because I live in core north but because these illiterate northerners just need a plate of food to go berserk and do random killings. Time without number it has been proven that they own Nigeria and nothing would happen to them even if they make threats, no security agency would put them to order, buh let any southern figure raise his ugly head to say kill them when they come to attack you, protect yourself and the next day they would dash him three days vacation in DSS detention facility... |
rexlims:To be fair, I perfectly understand your arguments, this policy is not sustainable. It can only be practiced cos the price of oil is recovering that is shoring up our reserves. But Nigeria in itself is a complicated entity that defies all odds, defies any reasonable logic else I don't see any explanation to the sharing of ECA monthly when there are capital projects such money should be pumped into. Shey you read somewhere that Nigeria accrued more trillion debts in the past two years? |
If these statistics are correct, then it's commendable cos it is a known fact that with the exchange rate to the dollar high, it's a boom for exporters to earn more local currency from foreign exchange. I think the focus should now change to encouraging the youths to be export minded. Sometime in 2013/2014, massive tutorials were made by Ymodulus, shinaf, dav8id, 2sexy, chemashie and a whole of others that I can't remember their handle on how to import from China, those tutorials changed a lot of lives and made them super independent today. Now the tides have turned, will those massive tutorials on how to export to europe, Asia and the Americas pop up. Nairalanders abroad should champion this cause, not cos of self pity but out of patriotism. There are lot of government agencies that I know and have attended their workshops in the past who are willing to assist and support with funds and data to make you succeed. One love... |
I was among those that criticised the move by the C.B.N to pump dollars into the market. Looks like the intended objectives is working, if what it takes to bring the naira/dollar rates low means pumping dollars into the market so be it. Please let it not be one step forward, three steps backward.... |
As much as I hate glo with passion for their poor internet services I think it is a welcome development for a Nigerian to acquire the company instead of these other investors from outside the country. My reasons: 1. Foreign investors would result to capital flight since most of the ROI would always be sent abroad to build their economies. 2. The company going under would lead to a lot of job losses and possible dent to tax revenue from the govt 3.MTN buying etisalat would further solidify their presence and weaken competition since they are way ahead competitively. These are my thoughts though, a mere hypothesis may not actually be the truth. Open to criticisms |
I think stupidity is when you blur the plate number from the rear while the front view is still there. Celebrities and fake lifestyles... |
