What are you saying? The gods were dead people? Fvck did you smoke?
They're dead people. Read the Book of the Dead, Ifaodu, and other religious texts to learn that most of the gods worshipped in religion are past humans.

For instance, Sango, Osun, Ogun, Orunmila, Gaia, Atum, etc. have all lived in the past. Get their religious texts and learn more and stop arguing ignorantly.

If not for civilization, people would have worshipped Pele, who just died, as a god.

The gods are past beings and are a human construct.

Past humans that first did something great in their land that no one had done in the past were deified as gods and goddesses, including past humans that invented all the languages spoken today.

This guy obviously knows little about human history.

Fashola is the man. He'd always be in most people's eyes, including mine.

Tinubu was shit. Only AllAfrica Stories which is now allafrica[dot]com was around to document his failure as Governor as an online media.

Tinubu failed! Lagos was a cesspit for most parts. Mention which part of Lagos wasn't dirty under Tinubu. Even Maryland was dirty. Ajah was constantly flooded for most parts.

From TollGate beside the then Gateway Hotel on the boundary between Ogun and Lagos to the very end of that road, including Meiran and others had the worst roads ever. Not pot holes but gullies.
The infamous traffic then in Lagos was mostly due to terrible roads.
Even Lekki truly developed under Fashola.

Agberos reigned supreme all over Lagos. OPC were more powerful than the Police. And the OPC were rogues who were complicit in the crimes, ritual killings too. Fashola tamed them to an extent.

From late August was a scary period we all knew as "Ember Months". Other days were ritual killings or missing persons.

Failed in infrastructure development, in security, in preventing constant heavy clashes.

What exactly did Tinubu achieve as Governor?

Heck! Nkan Nbé and Lábe Orun were weekly programmes dedicated to these ritual killings and underworldly activities. Lagos was the major crime scene for these programmes.

You can only fóol those who don't know.
Well said. Fashola is one of the best Lagos State governors.

"My classmate just shared this photo taken during my undergraduate days in FUT Owerri, circa 1998, possibly a CASOR send forth event. Two are now professors, one co-runs a big telecom company in Mozambique while the other manages a huge tech company.

Then, one wrote the Sunday School manuals for FUTO All Saints Chapel (the interdenominational worship center) as the Bible Study coordinator; I served as one of the teachers for 3 years. The now Methodist Archbishop of Okigwe Diocese, Rev Onuagha later joined us to provide leadership.

Another there was the president of CASOR, a big christian fellowship. The other was an executive in NIFES, the largest christian fellowship.

As electrical/electronics engineering students, it was all smiles. Nine months to my graduation, I had three job offers - Bourdex Telecoms (car, driver with furnished housing), FUTO graduate lecturer (reserved for the best graduating student) and Schlumberger Dowell. On Friday, we graduated, on Monday, we started work.

I pray that young people of today get the privileges Nigeria gave me and some of my classmates. We were not better; Nigeria was well better.

(On that native dress, that was my signature dress those days. When you come from a village to a big city, you come with something that propels your mindset. In Ariaria Aba those days, I was a regular customer: I made myself a king at heart, trusting my God to validate it. And he did)" — Ndubuisi Ekekwe

Even if the whites want to engage in slavetrading and colonialism all over again, the useless gods Allah and Yahweh that Nigerians, who are among the most corrupt people on earth, dey carry for head like gala can't do anything to stop the whites.

Those gods, including the fictitious Jesus, worse pass useless

Whether it's the native gods or the foreign gods that ignorant Muslims and Christians, all the gods are past beings that are long, long gone from this realm.

They're as useless as the 'p' in 'psychology'. Africans will realize this sooner or later and learn to shift their focus away from any god or God to themselves.

Many people claim the traditional gods such as sango , obatala , Ogun and the rest all exist , I find this claim disturbing due to the fact that when slave trade started the gods didn't do anything,
Colonialism came they sacked the temples and shrines of these gods nothing happened.
The whites came , disregard and disrespected the gods nothing happened
Is it that the gods are not real or they are just bidding their time
Honest and logical answers please
No atheism vs theism argument please
What could a mere human deified by his peers as a god or goddess have done against the superior forces of the whites?

All the gods you mentioned were past humans, who are long, long dead and gone before the slave trade era even began.

The dead can't control what happens in the realm of the living.

God is a human creation. What we've are superior, gifted mortals that lesser humans call gods/goddesses.

May we never experience the hardship, insecurity, and inflation of Buhari three times.

Tinubu is coming to continue where Buhari stopped. May Nigerians never witness such a calamity again.

A Tinubu presidency will spell doom for Nigeria and Nigerians. We go hear wen and see shege

Ideally, no right-thinking Nigerian should be campaigning for a drug addict and criminal like BAT from the failed party of APC.

But na those wey run commot from the hardship of Buhari carry Buhari Pro Max's campaign for head the most.

Talk about man's inhumanity against man.

Particularly, under Tinubu ethnic clashes were very common. Especially by the OPC. Hausa-Fulani clashes, against Igbos, even against Akwa Ibomites so much so the infamous "Ekpe Ikpo Ukod" bloodthirsty masquerade got released at Ikeja, and Obasanjo had to step in with his then friend, Gov. Victor Attah of Akwa Ibom.

Lagos was also not secure. Robberies, ritual killings... Fashola reduced that.

Gbenga Daniel and Osoba had more peaceful reigns in neighbouring Ogun State.
You can only deceive those who didn't live there.
Fashola na the main man. That criminal cum drug addict didn't achieve much when he was governor.

Ah no go ever engage you anything related to Islam bro. It's pointless. You win, happy?
Keep engaging in religious fights online like the senseless, irate youth in the North and be whirling away your time.

When you woke up in the morning and all you could think of is to engage in religious fight online very early in the morning. Your case is a sorry one.

The irate, pugnacious youths in the North fight others in defense of Islam offline (jihad), while their jobless counterparts like you and your cohorts engage in their own fight (jihad) online defending your god.

Only a weak, powerless god needs fools like you to defend him online or offline.

I am not taking about earning. I am taking about hammering. A lot of the tech bros will make it look like the moment they started coding manna started falling from the sky. The newbies jump on this upskill, train themselves and then find themselves in a place where the promised riches and 4 star lifestyle are not materialising.
You're right. One can earn well by dedicating one or two years to learning any of those skills.

But to hammer, that takes more time and luck.

It takes 5 to 15 years to become an overnight success and you have to somehow survive during that period.
Overnight success in programming or graphics design or what field specifically? None of those fields requires even 4 years to master and start earning well.

Don't scare those that may want to venture into any one of them. Please.

In 1 or 2 years, one can gain mastery of any of those areas and start earning.

It fcvvking has a high competition, oga.

Go on Upwork, LinkedIn or Facebook and see Asian guys with very good portfolios hustling for jobs. What is the probability of a newbie getting one?

Be realistic, and avoid using encouraging adjectives to beautify a struggle

Reccy wanted to do graphic designing, and GloriousGbola just opened his eyes to the reality that he didn't know. One would think that graphics designing begins and ends with YouTube videos, but it is not.

Only to learn HTML and CSS, and be good, he would use months. Then add JavaScript, and then he would be getting to December, yet he is still not a Web developer.

Lets add REACT again for few months for him to be very good, and he will just be a Front End Developer (Back end is still not there).

If he applies this same effort to Data Analysis, he would be in the market already looking for his first gig.

I don't even know why you want to correct anything. It is my opinion, and you have given yours. Let the man choose what he wants
Why this man dey vex on top a simple matter?

Data Analysis, lols. There are thousands of data analysts on Upwork, Fiverr and Freelancer.

Dem plenty like pure water and the pay is poor mostly for beginners on those platforms.

If a skill is easy to learn, that field will be congested. Data Analysis even has more competition than web development because the latter takes more time to learn.

The guy in question didn't say he's looking for a skill to learn to start earning in six months.

Did he?

It's better to go for a field that takes more time to enter and has prospects. He may not choose web development though, but software or web development has better prospects than data engineering or data analysis IMO.

Anyone that thinks we've improved under Potter is only being delusional. As I've said before, the gaffer hasn't done anything special.

If we don't make top four this season at least, he doesn't deserve to be Chelsea's coach next season.

The new owners should retain the hire-and-fire approach. It's what made us a top club today.

He can choose any one that interests him. I only corrected the wrong notion that web development has high competition.

Good devs get jobs regularly. Even in copywriting that some say has high competition, I know guys that earn well there and get high-paying gigs regularly because they've good marketing and writing skills.

The main thing is interest. Then, some people are naturally gifted in certain areas, and it's also possible to become great with sheer hard work and dedication.

I am not emphatic about the number of hours and practice.

I am talking about what he needs to learn.

Learning HTML as a newbie, then learning how to use CSS to style it, and then adding JAVA to it. Then he would add REACT out of it

For Backend, he would know Python, Database management(MySql) and I can't remember the others.

I just gave him my opinion, because I have been there, and not to mention that after he has gone through this rigorous ordeal, the competition is still high for it.

Isn't competition also high in Data Engineering?

I think these problems require good knowledge of DSA (data structures and algorithms). I'm still planning to take a course in that aspect in Python and C.

I know C and Python (beginner level in both). DSA is another kettle of fish entirely. I'll start trying the problems when I begin the DSA courses.
