There are series of penalties for blasphemy in Sharia, one of which is death penalty.

BlueRayDick:
I don’t think we are talking about the same thing here at all.

A muslim says he believes in death being the punishment for blasphemy ; his fellow Muslims ask him to provide the authority which he based his belief on. That’s what I’m talking about .

I mean if for example a Christian says his denomination forbids alcohol ; some denomination like Catholic can ask him to provide a bible verse that forbids alcohol . You and I know that both parties can come up with verses to back their stand inside the same bible .

What I’m asking is this ; is there any Quaran verse that specifies the punishment of blasphemy as death while another says something different about the same subject matter (like in the Bible on some issues ) ?

Let’s try and stay on the topic
You dey prolong a simple matter. The authority that stipulates the punishment for blasphemy is haadith (recorded deeds of Muhammad), not Qur'an.

Sharia laws are drawn from both Qur'an and haadith (the two highest authorities in Islam), not only Qur'an.

Knowledgeable Muslims follow both Qur'an and haadith and mostly observe or support Sharia, while their less knowledgeable and liberal counterparts may follow only Qur'an.

Una just like to dey drag simple issues on this thread.

Addressing the lies and propaganda of the foolish

The fools keep trolling the Otem guy here daily equating his moniker with whatever god they worship in ignorance, thus making him more popular.

Their tiny minds can't think of anything more than religion and worshipping their fellow humans and things. Keep pouring water into an empty basket.

Na una go tire.

Your silly propaganda and lies would not stop people that read his book from ditching your religion for freethinking (agnosticism, atheism, and humanism) when the time is right.

As I've said earlier, that book will become popular in the future, and the fools are only playing their part in making the author popular.

The most important lesson to be learnt in the book is to embrace use of the brain, irreligion, and science.

Only a fool will read the book and say he wants to worship a god or a nairalander like himself.

You can't learn the history of your god and religion and still see both the same way.

I'd address the lies and folly occasionally so the mischievous people don't misinform new members.

Discussions about politics are usually boring to me.

People would waste time lying and twisting simple statements like this "If the President is to be given by whose turn it is, as an Igbo it's my turn but I am in the race as a Nigerian wishing to be hired based on my track record, competence and capacity."

Despite the highlighted part of the Obi's statement, I don't know how this is in any way equivalent to "emilokan".

The elections are slated for next month, but some people are making lifelong enemies for themselves over candidates that are mostly the same.

Make una continue fighting over politicians daily while the brainless ones keep posting their lies and hallucinations about Otem and his readers daily, planting silly things in your subconscious mind thinking you're joking.

Na una palaver sha

Almighty Saudi had to change their law to accommodate the GOHT...
They change their laws in certain circumstances just like they change certain aspects of the religion when the situation warrants it.

Looking at this development and how the mosques in Saudi including the Kabbah were closed at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, it becomes clear even to the blind that religion is man-made.

It's humans pulling the strings, and religious people only worship their fellow (wiser) humans they see as god/God.

If it was during the days of ignorance (such as the periods Christianity and Islam were designed), people would have built a religion around Ronaldo (he has been deified as a god already just like Allah would have been deified as a god at some point in the past) and some fools would kill for Almighty God Ronaldo like Amoto and fight others online like those two e-jihadists in defense of their man-made God.

But humans are wiser now and don't see Ronaldo's great exploits as supernatural or spiritual the way our forefathers used to worship gifted people as a god, and our kids will even be wiser and see the thing called religion as man-made and religious gods as a mere human construct.

Reverend of the snake is the oldest African spiritual system and it actually spread around the world in ancient time during the time of spirituality before religion. Through so many thousands of years of mything, it evolved to so many characters; including being called the savior, messiah, redeemer, which ended up in the bible as Satan (savior) but which white people blackmailed to create white Jesus.

Anybody in that community who has a clear picture of the man holding the snake should please assist me with the picture. Simply post here. I'll need it to feature in my upcoming book, please.

To get an idea of what I am talking about, go to www.africason.com and read the article that says: what is Satan? What is Lucifer? The biggest secret in the world
Looking forward to the book. Thanks a lot.

Nollywood feeds viewers with a lot of nonsense, one of which is magun depicted as a supernatural or spiritual attack.

About just as you found, the claim disturbing, concerning the fact that traditional gods such as Sango, Obatala, Ogun and the rest all existed, yet when slave trade started, the same gods didn't do anything, so the god Baal, mentioned in 1 Kings 18:21-39, couldnt and wasnt able to do anything (i.e. couldn't answer the summoning by fire)

Personal text: Jesus is not a theologian. He is God who told stories.
What did your Yahweh do to save the Jews from the Holocaust? Nothing. Your god, Yahweh, including the fictitious Jesus Christ and the native gods are all useless.

A smart person leaves the matter of the gods and focuses solely on himself, family, and friends because family and friends are all we have in this cold world.

So much suffering in the world, yet some fools think there's one sky daddy up there controlling human affairs.

If the whites want to recolonize Africa today, their useless gods (Yahweh and Allah) can't do anything to prevent it.

Humans do all things and gods are useless. They are simply past (deified) humans that are long, long gone.

In the present, they're useless. I know some people will commit suicide if they find out the real truth about religion and the god they worship in ignorance.

It can be hard for some weak humans to live without the idea of a god.

You are clearly naive and foolish.
Dismissing things you do not understand as mere myth shows you lack experience of the supra-sensible dimensions of life.
So much is not written in books.
So much cannot be understood without direct experience.
The Gods are more than real.
God Almighty reigns supreme over them all.
The Gods are rulers of different parts, substances, elements, aspects, activities, tasks and experiences in God's Creation.

You speak of the gods are gifted mortals venerated by lesser mortals.
Really? Gifted mortals? Mortals gifted by who?
Whoever that gave the gifts of exceptional endowments must be of far superior power.
In that case you subconsciously acknowledge that there is a being out there who is capable of upholding his chosen ones with gifts of exceptionalities and capabilities.
The man who says there is no God is truly a fool because he lies to himself. His soul knows the truth. There is God. There is also His Hosts of Cosmic Princes and Delegates Who are Rulers and Administrators in the Great Universe.
I don't have time to read a nonsensical post from a slave.

The fool is asking for the archeological evidence for the existence of Orunmila, Ogun, and similar deities to prove they actually existed in the past, yet he doesn't have the same evidence for the existence of Socrates, Herodotus, Plato, and co.

Well, I'm not surprised. Many Africans lack the capacity to think critically.
