Coding is embedded in Web development

Coding is just like writing. Web dev is just like Chemistry.

For you to know Chemistry, you need to know how to write.

You have to learn a lot to be a Web developer.
Front end has HTML, CSS, JAVA, REACT....
Back end still has its own too.
These are the ones i can remember. You will need to put in a lot of hours everyday in other to gain mastery, and if care is not taken, you will quit.

Like DeadPresident said, stick to Data engineering

It is just my opinion oh.
Data Engineering also requires a lot of hours of reading and practice to master.

All of those fields he mentioned require hours of reading and practice to master them, except copywriting and social media management that can be learnt in a relatively shorter time if your writing skills are good already.

huh huh huh
Competition is high in all the fields you mentioned. Web/software development/engineering, cloud, devops are still the best IMO.

If I were you, I'd go for any of those areas.

Advice needed.

Please if you tips about the prospect of these digital skills, please help with say 5 out of these. I want to make 2023 out if it.

Digital marketing
Graphics Design
Web development (Frontend and backend)
Data analysis
3D animation
Illustration
Social media management
Copy writing
Video editing
Motion Graphics
Cinematography
Excel
Coding.

If you can also be of help in any form, I will gladly appreciate.

'2023 must go digital for me"

Donjazet2 must surrender!
All of them have prospects if you're good. But web dev and coding are your best bet, and if you're in the science field and like research science, go learn Python and some C language.

This lad is one out of many guys in the North doing themselves proud without noise, there's Startup Kano, Co-Lab in Kaduna, Startup Sokoto, look up Ibrahim Maigari a lawyer and IT entrepreneur who founded Livestock.ng, RiceAfrika, and Paysabil a crowdfunding platform for Islamic organisations. People are doing stuffs but the southern dominated press are only interested in amplifying the negatives happening in the North while scantily mentioning the positives or in some cases no mention.
Don't wait for the media houses in the South to tell your own stories. Blow your own trumpet.

Islamic radicalization (religious extremism) and low literacy level are the major problems of the North.

I don't see a solution to these issues both now and in the near future. They're serious problems that could only get worse compounded by the nexus of overpopulation and poverty in the region.

The rapid population growth of the North aided by child marriage is one of the key factors that drive the population explosion of Nigeria, which has become the sixth most populous country in the world.

As regards IT development in the North, hope some radical elements in your religion and region won't take advantage of Paysabil to fund terrorism.

Complaining daily here changes nothing unless you vote. Complaining here daily when you won't be voting looks silly to me.

The way forward is to keep changing leaders till we get it right, not ranting daily online which is just noise-making unless you take a real action to effect change offline by voting.

America, the UK, France and other First World countries countries didn't just develop by their citizens making a noise online without voting.

They voted to deepen their democracy and change bad leaders till they got it right.

I said that we must shed our primitive thinking and adapt not go backwards. You phrase it like I'm saying we would absolutely fail if we don't.

I'm saying our adaption and evolution will only continue, that's a fact. Not us going backwards to start highlighting individual tribes.

India has 2000 ethnic groups but most of them adopt English and or Hindu. That's how they move forward.
Most Indians speak Hindi, not English. But English is one of the country's 22 official languages.

Hindi is the first most spoken and understood language in the country, followed by Bengali.

India is a multilingual society.

By this your post you are highlighting the tiny nations of the world and I'm asking you; do you think Nigeria can or should be broken up into 500 Vatican nation states since ""The smallest tribe in Nigeria has more population than Vatican City, the smallest country in the world by population"".

Listen whether we break up or not, we can move forward it we want to. I keep using India because they share sooo much similarity with us.

India has 2000 different ethnic groups. Almost as large as the entire African continent and they're still moving forward as the largest democracy on earth whose economy is also growing to be the biggest in Asia.

Nigeria can do much better in spite of our multiculturalism. Not blaming colonial master's here and there.
You're just a confused person. One minute you're advocating monoculturalism; next minute, it's multiculturalism.

Nigeria can do better in spite of our multiculturalism, yet you're campaigning for the abolishment of all local cultures and adopting the white man's culture.

You're so confused.

Anyone that knows the history of how Nigeria was set up by the British knows the country was created on a faulty foundation that can't last.

It was created primarily to serve the interest of the colonial masters and not the peoples merged together forcefully as one.

It can't last.

Soo, if say, all the 720 different tribes want to break up, the country should be split into 720 different parts??
As things stand now, only Ibo and Yoruba tribes want to leave the union and form Biafra Republic and Odua Nation respectively.

If Nigeria breaks up, the major tribes will accommodate the minorities. Even there are minorities in some of the countries formed from the Soviet Union.

The tribes that can't coexist should go their separate ways.

The smallest tribe in Nigeria has more population than Vatican City, the smallest country in the world by population.

However, I prefer regionalism to outright breakup.

Still, I predict Nigeria will experience regionalism or breakup in the future.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by A001: 12:15pm On Dec 21, 2022
My answer is clear enough. Nigeria should be broken up into as many regions as possible. Any tribe that wants to seek self-determination and leave the union should be allowed to.

I say NO to forced marriage.
Donjazet2:
A001, you still did not answer my question with this reply. You said Nigeria should be broken up, and I'm asking you, into how many pieces. Be more specific not theoretical.. if you think Nigeria is not working, how many pieces EXACTLY should Nigeria be broken into for it to work?
A001:
Any tribe that wants to go should be allowed to. The forced marriage isn't working.

How is his pipe dream any different from yours that advocates for us adopting our local languages in the teaching of STEM courses? grin
FG has already approved the teaching of subjects in primary schools in indigenous languages. It'll still get to higher classes with time.

A number of Nigerians are already writing Physics, Math, Chemistry, and Biology textbooks in local languages.

The US-based educator, Dr. Fakinlede Kayode, I posted earlier created the wonderful project, Yoruba Science and Technology Encyclopedia http://yoruba-scipedia.wikidot.com/ teaching science in Yoruba language.

How is that a pipe dream?

The Association of Educators of Science and Technology in Yoruba Language (AESTYL) has been campaigning for the same thing for the past thirty years.

Millions of educators around the world teach STEM in their mother tongue.

How is campaigning for teaching STEM in local languages a pipe dream?

There's an overseas organization called NativeScientist https://www.nativescientist.com/ that promotes teaching of science in native languages.

I've posted one of their articles here.

How is campaigning for teaching STEM in local languages a pipe dream when it's been a reality already for millions of people around the world?

Many of the world's renowned scientists learned and did science in their mother tongue.

Do you know what a pipe dream is? It seems you don't.

Today, the world's population is 8 billion people, according to Worldometer. As of today, there are roughly 1.5 billion English speakers in the world.

That means about 19% of the world are English speakers, yet this man wants the remaining 81% to abandon their culture and adopt the ways of the English people, including the roughly 1.1 billion Mandarin speakers.

He's literally saying the whole world should come under the English rule.

Okay then, soo how many parts do you think Nigeria should be broken into and what language do you think should be the lingua franca of the newly formed country?

If Nigerian is broken up, how many countries do you think it should be broken into?
Any tribe that wants to go should be allowed to. The forced marriage isn't working.

And if we want to coexist as one, we should go back to regional government.

Each tribe adopts their language, and if they need to communicate with other tribes, they use the local language or English.

English is secondary to my culture (and language) and will always be.

I will never trade my culture for anything.

Enough of theories. Let's get practical.

Tell me, which language do you want Nigeria to adopt as her lingua franca?
As in what language do you think the president of the country addresses us in or the legislature debate in??

No need for long talk, just tell us which language Nigeria needs to adopt as it's lingua franca. Its common language.
Regionalism or breakup is the way to go. I don't believe in one Nigeria, and Nigeria isn't one.

Nigeria is a failed British project.

If you want a monocultural world, you're simply daydreaming because it's very impossible.

How would you convince the over 1 billion speakers of Mandarin to abandon their culture for the English? How will you convince the over 600 million of Hindi speakers, or the over 200 million Arabic speakers, or the over 40 million Yoruba speakers in various parts of the world to leave their culture for the English culture?

Why do you love chasing shadows?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by A001: 11:03pm On Dec 20, 2022
The British introduced the English language in this part of the world, and because of that you should abandon your own language and ways before the colonial masters came, yet you've become independent.

Nigeria as a country isn't even one, and he's calling for people to abandon their culture and adopt the English culture.

He's calling for a return to colonialism.

If the Britons had thought this way, their language would have died long ago because they were also colonized by the Roman Empire.

If you want your culture to become endangered and extinct, you want your people dead, and you're simply an enemy of the people.

Let me ask you a question using a real life scenario amongst us.
Ibime, I love you man, please permit my example here.

Ibime is an ijaw man by birth, but who emigrated, studied fantastically abroad, did well for himself, married a white lady, has mixed race kids and is enjoying a very fulfilled life.
I'm sure this Ibime doesn't give jack shite about the ijaw tribe. Doesn't bother to promote it in anyway seeing as it is totally inconsequential to his life.

Now tell me, do you think that ibime who is now successful by virtue of his own intellect and hardwork is a "slave" to the Whiteman?

I mean his children would also most likely get to follow in their father's footstep and do well for themselves and not give a damn about ijaw tribe, in your mind do you think that their adaption and acculturation to life is equated to slavery because they don't care about the ijaw tribe?
Ibime don talk say his wife his black. Your agenda is DOA.

Millions of Ijaw people (both home and abroad) love and respect the Ijaw culture, and that's why the culture isn't endangered or extinct like some other cultures of the world today.

A man that wants his people to become endangered and extinct is an enemy of the people.

Only God knows how your sense of ideation works. How you interpret things needs to be studied.

Donjazet: we need to move on from primitive modes of reasoning and that includes tribalism and religion.

A001: you are calling igbos primitive.

I'm saying that ALL cultures are now primitive and outdated, as it should.

No Nigerian language has the indigenous word for selfie, screen, monitor, screenshot, technology. These are relatively new English terms.

And a fact is that in our globalised World, we are bound to keep adapting or dying off.
Aspects of our culture has already died off and I know for sure that more will.
My great-grand parents most likely killed twin babies in the forest because it was scorned at in our culture, that no longer happens. Just like the only piece of cloth they knew were animal hides to cover the nethers and that was all, not the fanciful imported fabrics we have today and have adopted..

Summary of my point is that history shows it's very futile to cling to primordial sentiment. Advocating for taking steps back or worse still pitting tribe against tribe on the internet.
All cultures of the world are primitive, except the English culture. Can you see how lame your reasoning is?

He's clinging to his colonial masters' culture, and that's not primordial sentiment.

He wants his culture (and consequently his people) to become endangered and extinct.

The English promote the English culture; the Chinese promote the Chinese culture, the Arabs promote the Arabic culture. This is why billions of appreciate these cultures today.

But the foolish Africans denigrate their own culture while celebrating and promoting the English/Arabic culture.

I don't like engaging in this sort of nauseating discussion.

Cultural diversity is the beauty of the world; even nature loves diversity.

Donjazet2:
And I'm telling you my culture is jackshit and irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.

Geestay, do you know that every year that passes, many cultures in Nigeria die off? Many languages die off and people adapt to the bigger one closest to them?

And there is nothing wrong with this. If in the next 50 years, all Nigerians now speak only English and our country becomes a top5 global economy and our grandchildren get to live in a viable and prosperous country, will you still complain??

Yes, English and Spanish are the 2 main colonially inherited languages of a lot of country, but do you hear them complain?

Brazil and India are 2 of the richest and biggest economies in the world today, do you hear them still complain about British and Spanish colonization?? Do you see Brazilians scrambling to learn Amazonian languages??

We need to move on from primitive mode of thinking and that includes tribalism and religion.
Ibos are primitive people. It's good you've described your people perfectly.

He's calling Ibos primitive now. When others do so, they've become tribalists.

You can denigrate your culture and people all you want and promote your colonial masters. Just keep your neocolonialization agenda far away from this moniker, A001.

He's listing benefits of being a slave to the English. SMH.

A man that doesn't respect his culture isn't worthy of any respect because he's a mere slave.
