Instead of Atiku and Obi to present credible oppositions to Tinubu's government and keep him on his toes over the next 4 years, they're busy on a wild goose chase.

Atiku and Obi need to join forces for 2027 presidential election. If not, they won't be able to wrest power from APC again in 2027. I no too like to dey put mouth for political issues.

Nigeria no get hope at all. Things will only keep getting worse because the country has dull people in high numbers.

I can only imagine how much essential items such as fuel, rice, garri, bread, and the likes will cost at the end of Tinubu's first term in office.

Buhari and APC are the worst things to ever happen to Nigeria in modern times. But it seems the worst is yet to come.

Ffs y'all chill on this broja thingy
This dude just came back from an ACL and you're saying he isn't reliable. Even with the fact he restricted his runs a lot, he still had a good game

Allow the man heal. That dude is fire when fully fit and it's just sad that he might never regain such fitness as he had back in Southampton.

ACL really bleeps players up. Chillwel still having difficulties till date and that ACL follow cause am, same as fofana
If na Broja you wan dey rely on as a top 9, then just don't put your mind for top 6 this season at all. This is EPL, not Championship.

Both Broja and Jackson don't have enough quality to lead the attack for a top club like Chelsea. They're better as a sub. We need a quality striker if we want to play in Europe next season.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by A001: 10:16pm On Oct 02, 2023
A good win. Gallagher, Silva, Enzo (except the obvious weakness as regards scoring goals), Colwill, Cucurella, Caicedo, and Sanchez performed well. That Broja isn't reliable, and we need a proven striker urgently by January.

If we can win our next match against Burnley, we'd be in a better shape to face Arsenal and Man City later on.

Rap is also one of the best forms of social education you can get if you listen to the right artists.

Black Thought inspired me to learn more about racial struggles in American history with lyrics about practices like Jim Crow, segregation and red-lining.

Geto Boys classic, "Mind playing tricks" explores the 4 phases of mental illness progression.

Immortal Technique has spät about everything from colonization, mental slavery, class warfare, exploitation, the military industrial complex and other informative topics which stimulate your thought process further.

Underground HipHop has the real depth and riches. Mainstream HipHop has a lot of chaff and mindless mumble these days.

Listen to albums from Black Thought, Immortal Technique, Nas etc and you’ll thank yourself for it.
OK. I'm only a fan of Nas among those artists you mentioned. I'll check out the rest. Thanks.

Blacks are better. Simple.

Rap is a black music genre. I dont know the deep history much, but I know it originated from Bronx, and gradually penetrated other areas.

Blacks appreciate and listen to rap more cos the lyrics resonates with their struggles.

A white rapper is seen as an intruder . The love isn't really massive like blacks get. Eminem was an exception cos his talent towered above his peers, plus he was supported by the man himself!!

Rap largely promotes hardmanism, gangsterism and drugs . . Which is an average blacks everyday life.

White rappers are like nerds. What are they gonna rap about? Sum' like

My girlfriend got creampied in my living room/
I can hear her screaming getting humped by a BB dude/
I stood next to the door wanking off, while I'm peeping through/
She's a wh...ore, if she cheat on me...she'll still cheat on you /
Quite insightful. I appreciate your knowledge of the subject. My own na just to listen to rap music. I no too dey into the historical aspect because of time constraints. So many books to read.

DeadPresidents:
Hip-hop is quintessential black culture. It is street poetry. "The soul music of the slaves", like Kanye West said.

What is interesting is we have always had elements of rap culture in existence from time immemorial on the continent in form of the griots of Gambia who could recite tomes of ancestral history in lyrical form. Even the panegyric Odus of Ifa can be considered as a precursor for hip hop grin

Hip Hop was the most creative form of expression for the oppressed blacks in the United States. It’s a cultural thing just like ballet dancing is a Russian cultural dance.
Okay, this is a thoughtful submission.

.

I meant to write photo and video.

I'm not starting any argument ; I only pointed it out that the people in both pictures are Muslims ; side 1 are Yoruba Muslims and side 2 are Arab Muslims. Simple!
Yorubas have been dressing that way before Islam even entered Yorubaland some centuries ago. That style of dressing is a key element of Isese, Yoruba culture. Spare me unnecessary lectures about a religion you know nothing about or never practiced.

The ironically thing about this video is that those people on Yoruba Traditional attire are celebrating Ojúde ọba festival which is actually a muslim-cum-yoduba cultural festival. grin

Ojúde ọba is a festival that was started by a Muslim and it takes place 3 days after normal Muslim Ileya festival.

FUN FACT : Ojúde ọba the Muslim festival replaced a pagan festival called ọdẹda when Balogun kuku converted to Islam
Where you see a video in the post you quoted? I posted a picture showing the native dresses of the Yorubas, you dey mention a video about Ojude Oba. The native style of dressing in that picture is not restricted to that festival alone.

The picture depicts the traditional way of dressing in Isese, and Yorubas dress that way to social functions generally, not only Ojude Oba. What's ironic about the photo? You wan start another argument wey no get head or tail abi.

Nigeria celebrates the Independence Day today. But discerning minds know the country is only independent on paper, not in reality.

The real state of things is, Nigeria, just like all other countries of Africa, is still under Europe and Arabia as slaves.

In Nigeria, the majority of people don't value the native cultures and traditions.

They prefer anything foreign from the whites or Arabs to local things. They give foreign names to their kids as the primary names instead of using native names. They prefer to do all things exactly as the whites and Arabs.

They're not intelligent enough to develop novel solutions to their own unique problems and must copy the whites and Arabs in all things.

Due to their relatively lower IQ, they revere and promote the forefathers of foreign people over their own forefathers.

Thus, Nigeria isn't really independent. Until many Nigerians change their attitude to the native cultures and traditions and start promoting their forefathers, the country will remain backward.

You can't grow and develop as a people when you don't have the backing and support of your forefathers. It has never happened before in history and will never happen.

Corruption was common in Obj's government, but under Buhari, corruption was the order of the day.

Seriki Integrity (Buhari) took corruption in governance to a whole new level and set a dangerous record as the president that ran the most corrupt government in Nigeria's history.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by A001: 9:28am On Oct 01, 2023
Most Nigerians would take the worst of Obj's government over the best Buhari had to offer. Buhari is easily the worst president in Nigeria's history.

In a sane country, he shouldn't even be an LGA chairman let alone a president.

Tribal marks are a key aspect of Isese, the totality of Yoruba culture and traditions. In the past, this tradition was important, especially during war times. However, it has since outlived its usefulness and should be abolished in modern times.

heaven don sure 4 dem like dis with multiple virgins..
Yes o, dem go leave one prison on Earth and enter into another one when they die in the heaven of their god. At least, their prophet, Muhammad, said it clearly that life on Earth is a prison to the Muslims.

That's a fact anyone, who strives to observe Islamic injunctions the way Muhammad and his companions did, knows as they're well aware of their chains (the mental type).

They know clearly they're in mental slavery.

The news report isn't surprising. The Muslims engaged in an act of terrorism on the birthday celebration of the founder of terrorism itself, Muhammad.

When science develops to an extent on this planet, that religion will be added to the list of crimes against humanity in the future. The level of hate speech and barbarity in Qur'an is mind-boggling.

I thought they said in Islam those (men) who died in jihad war will get 72virgins. Dis offer dey very attractive...hard to turn down.
Lols, yes it's in the Qur'an that Muslims (male believers) will enjoy sexual relations with multiple virgins in Allah's heavens. But such a provision isn't stated for Muslimah (female Muslims).

That's partiality on the side of their god. That's one of the many aspects of the religion which actually favor men, but only few favor women.

There's actually a physics that underlies the realms religious people call heaven and hell. Eventually, scientists will uncover these things when they start exploring other planets physically (in person, not using robots or telescopes), setting up colonies in such planets, and designing humans and other animals on the planets.

It's the same physics behind the design of a human that underlies things like heaven and hell.

Though you may not agree as an atheist, but the physics is real and is more mind-bending than Quantum Physics.

Lols. The heavens of the Christian and Muslim gods look primitive and boring. I no wan such heavens.

Anyway, heaven and hell are states of the mind. They're liminal states, and only those that believe in them get to experience them.

Just as there are infinite realms in physical worlds (planets) for the living, there are also infinite realms in the non-physical worlds for the dead.
