Tuchel never even spend one month with the team.
Hopefully, Kante can give Lampard the UCL this season like he gave Tuchel and all the past coaches that managed him. The nuisance with a leaky brain always a disgrace. |

I decided to check the interview and surprise surprise, Soyinka did without mincing words criticized it with strong words.
These "boycotters" didn't even watch an interview they're criticizing but just saw some Twitter shorts posted by dishonest people who are trying to maintain a narrative and then called a press conference to talk about something they know little to nothing about.

The meeting went well and another is scheduled for the coming weeks as Chelsea seek to advance in talks. If we hire Enrique, getting Gavi becomes much easier. But is he good enough to be the midfield marshal Enrique seeks? |

tommy589: What led to sudden change after you highlighted what distrupted Black people's advancement
Are you or have contemporaries that are less intelligent than other races? And how did you arrive at that fact?
Why do you think only death can separate an African from his gods, when most Europeans that were known to kill witches at the stake in medieval Europe no longer believe in Christianity The evidence for my assertion abounds, but you won't realize the truth if you're the emotional type. The Europeans killed the first set of philosophers and scientists on their continent accusing them of witchcraft during the dark ages. In that era, many philosophers and scientists were burnt on the stakes for heresy, witchcraft, and blasphemy against Yahweh. Many years later, the Europeans evolved mentally and many of them reduced their devotion to their gods (mainly Yahweh), and embraced freethinking, critical thinking, philosophy and science. That was how the Age of Enlightenment started in Europe and the scientific authority became the order of the day in place of the religious authority, which had kept the region in dark ages for hundreds of years. Africa is still going through its own dark ages, and Africans will still undergo a mental evolution in the future where all these religions, especially Christianity and Islam, will lose their value and more Africans will become scientifically minded and critical thinkers. But I don't see that happening in the current generation. The intelligence is simply not there. |

The OP is right. I've hammered on the points he raised several times on this forum.
The poor state of Africa is caused by colonialism by the West, the trans-atlantic slave trade, and Africans themselves.
For any people to make progress, they've to know what caused their current predicament in the first place.
If you don't know the root causes of the problems you're facing, you can't find an effective solution to them.
Sadly, most Africans are shallow thinkers that can't reason critically about things.
All they know is to be shouting Allah or Yahweh/Jesus all about, the same entities used to colonize and enslave them.
It all boils down to the fact that the black race is less intelligent than the other races.
The evidence for this abounds: The average black man is less intelligent than the other races, and that's why Africa contributes next to nothing to the development of this planet; the shallow thinkers form the majority of people on the continent, and the few highly intelligent ones are the minority.
Sadly, the continent is losing these few thinkers to the West at an alarming rate.
Thus, the future is bleak for Africa unless many Africans can think deeply, put the matter of the gods aside (whether foreign or local ones), and critically look at how to change the poor situation of the continent.
Worshipping a god can't help and prayers can't fix the problems either.
Unfortunately, only death can separate a typical African from his (man-made) god. |

If Boli gets the appointment of a new coach wrong, then it will be clear he's an anti-Chelsea agent bent on wrecking the club. |

BlueRayDick: I’ve started watching the gangs of Lagos .
It’s kinda funny Toyin Abraham is playing a role that is in contrast to her stand during this last elections .
She was lamenting how a single party had ruled Lagos for so long and one man controlling everything . Na the same Toyin dey trend #AsiwajuBaby throughout this last election .
Make I dey watch the film dey go sha; thus far in impressed by the fight scenes sha ; dem try I learnt the film was shot in 2021 but just released this year. |

BlueRayDick: The bold is the reason . She kinda took the whole election campaign thing serious and unfortunately for her those who disagreed with her personal choice of Tinubu were trolls , frustrated youths and people who just don’t like her for reasons best known to them .
It’s good the elections are over sha….. some of these entertainers/celebrities made friends and enemies for themselves that period Okay. I also didn't like how most Yoruba actors supported and campaigned for BAT and APC during the elections, though I'm not active on social media. Nevertheless, I still like and respect a number of them despite the fact they were bought by the greedy politicians. However, I like and respect Yoruba actors like Mr. Macaroni more. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by A001: 1:49pm On Apr 09, 2023 |
BlueRayDick: The gangs of Lagos was a good one ; it wasn’t bad as I had thought .
I however have the following reservations:
1. I believe this kinda project is an opportunity to tell the story of a group of people ( in this case Lagosians ) ,but the producers chose to tell the wrong story . They could’ve talked about the hustle and bustle spirit of Lagos , not this gang wahala . I also find it difficult to connect the prologue of the movie where the commentator said “the first gang of Lagos “ are the eyo masquerades. The thing no make any logical sense and they didn’t do anything to try to link that statement with happenings in the movie as time goes on.
2. This movie glorified gangsterism from beginning till end . It also gives the vibes that it’s only political violence u can use to retire violent politicians/godfathers
3. The actors and actresses were all great and interpreted their roles well, but some of them should’ve been replaced with someone else . Adesuwa May be a very great actress and interpreted her role well, but someone who could speak more fluent Yoruba should’ve taken her place . She was named “Ebun” , yet her spoken Yoruba in the movie was no better than Chike whose character was “Ify “, an igbo guy . …… Zlatan, Chioma , Iyabo Ojo are naturals . They did really well in their respective roles and worthy of special mention .
4. The fight scenes are well choreographed and makes much sense than what I’ve seen in previous nollywood movies . Whoever handled the choreography should be handed more of such jobs in subsequent nollywood movies .
5. The fact that the Nigerian police was not even shown for once to at least be seen as enforcing the laws and maintains order ;e really get as e be. It made it look like police don’t even exist in isale eko. I’ve watched enough narco themed movies/series and know that despite the police in Mexico/Columbia are on the payroll of the cartels, the police still pretend as though they have things under control from time to time . I can deal with corrupt police in a gang-crime-themed movie, but a movie with police almost non existent dey somehow sha .
For someone who doesn’t really dig naija movies , I think these producers tried ….. it can only get better from here Was the movie produced by Toyin Abraham? |

BlueRayDick: Of course I know this ; it’s just funny how the role she played is in contrast with her stand in real life. I guess the election seasons ending not too long ago make the whole thing kinda awkward You know many actors say several things in their movies they don't mean in real life. Actors do that all the time. Why did you actually find it funny? Maybe because I don't follow Toyin Abraham on social media. |

Generally, Nigerian politicians, including Obi, play the religious card. Of what use is religion if not used as a political tool, which is its primary purpose?
What is religion actually useful for?
Religion and politics are 5 and 6 in Nigerian politics. |
