First and foremost, Real Madrid already had a formidable and world class players assembled together by mourhino and Ancelotti in every position compared to Chelsea that relied on academy players due to transfer ban and then went ahead to sign some promising players the following season.

I don't think the players were that poor. Tuchel won trophies with exactly the same players.

I still prefer Zidane followed by Enrique. Only few managers can achieve what Zidane accomplished in Madrid as a manager.
