Bruh I been they around o. Something just they tell me make I Comot na him I Carry my pangolo.

I see young guys when this protest start they yarn rubbish say them no be their papa. The last generation na coward. Them no go gree. Na their papa spoil this country. I just they look them.

This country has a way of breaking your spirit and soul. It's what was done to our parents. I am sure they can see that now. Some of them after that shoot out I am sure have started processing visa to leave. The little democracy we they enjoy, our parents went through hell for us to get it.

Naija has a way of breaking your spirit and will, and what happened broke a lot of will. It was sad to see
Lmaoooo lucky you.

I don't think the older generation did enough to fix things, the way they met Nigeria is not how they are leaving it for us. Especially anyone upwards of 60. That is the bitter truth. They did not do a good job

No country can defeat a people ready to fight. The worst case scenario is that it becomes a wasteland. The truth is for a revolution to succeed there has to be sufficient people willing to die. Without that no revolution can happen. What has happened thus far is not enough to break the will of people that were originally dead set on fighting and are aware of the consequences

More importantly there is need for the revolution to be mental. It doesn't have to be violent. But without the revolution happening mentally you're just going to the streets to waste your time

Suppose there was an emergency that requires the attention of your parents and they failed to live up to their responsibilities and you're capable of averting the disaster will you fold your hands and watch as your siblings are plunged into destruction?
What are you saying bro and how does this apply in this case? Remember there was supposed to be a curfew so literally the only people that were legally protected to move at that time would be essential services which government employees would fall into so i don't understand why you're bringing up this weird example. Why was there not a single Government agency on ground? Why are you not asking this question?

Amoto94:
I'm not defending government here stop putting words into my mouth, I'm responsible for what I say how you comprehend it is out of my control.
I know you to be one of the learned ones here but you're letting emotions becloud your sense of judgement, my brother take a break away from social media and refresh your mind

As for majoring in the minor what you called minor is the signal among forest of noises
What exactly are you doing. I can see a lot of words but for the life of me cannot get a grip of anything you're saying. Your words are ambiguous and do not hint at anything.

Don't ask me to take a break from social media. This is the typical Nigerian mentality. It's easy to always say these things because you were not directly affected by the tragedy and massacre we witnessed. It's a very selfish way to live

Here are my questions again

Why are you so focused on the fake news narrative?
Why are you not alarmed that the military went and shot unarmed protesters
Why are you not alarmed that the military themselves via their Twitter handle came out to categorically deny an event that happened and was streamed worldwide
Why are you not outraged that the C in C has not said anything about the army shooting it's own unarmed citizens

Stop majoring in the MINOR. Face the real issues

Of course. They needed the slightest excuse to show their true colors and we are seeing it now. One said he was in support and in a single week he had changed his mind. Imagine that. As if police brutality started last month

None of them are talking about why there was no Government agency on site, they are not talking about why the government gave conflicting reports, they are not asking why the C in C has not said anything. They are shouting fake news to obfuscate the issue. But the beauty of oppression e no dey discriminate, it will come for everyone

That video succinctly captures how these peaceful protests turned violent. So, you can lay the blame on the appropriate quarters — Buhari and the ruling class, especially the Fulani oligarchy.
They will never lay blame at the appropriate quarters. They are not asking why Soldiers were dispersed to the most peaceful section of the protesters. That is above their paygrade

There was a tribal clash two days ago at Iju

It all started with EndSARS protest and it degenerated to Yoruba and Hausa clash. I don't know if lives were lost, but there was loss of properties.

The question any reasonable person should be asking is why are there always tribal clashes when these things happen. Doesn't that point to a deeper divide? An underlying issue? When will people sit and admit there is a problem instead of kicking cans down the road and we keep pretending like we are one entity.

Why is there always fear of tribal attacks? Pretense is why Nigeria is where it is today

Whether you like call it Helsinki, Reykjavik, Oslo or Copenhagen syndrome it won't stop some of us from calling for verification of news items to further deescalate tension and violence, fake news would do far more damage than what has already happened/happening. You don't sit in one safe haven and push people towards destruction in the name of revolution, we will refute the nonsense and call you out for stoking the flames of civil war.
As I'm typing there are unverified reports of Northerners being attacked due to misinformation and what if reprisals follow up in the North, with the threat of bandits, bokoharam Shiites, 1million boys, militants, and other non-state actors there will total breakdown of law and order and you won't be here to bear with us
That is the work of government!! Why weren't there no agencies and rescue team on the scene?

Shouldn't even the army be coordinating rescue efforts for the violence they caused. Who is stoking out flames of civil war? Keep defending a government out to kill it's citizens. Oppression hand must always touch everybody even it's defenders

Typical Nigerian mentality always majoring in the minor.

You're here also talking about unverified reports, for all we know no Northerners are being attacked and you're also spreading fake news.

Focus on the fact that people were shot, ask why no emergency responders were on sight to resolve the crisis and audit the number of casualties like any responsible government does

Ask why your president has not said a word in almost 48 hours

Stop majoring in the MINOR

The doubters among us are aiding this government in covering up their crimes.

Can we stop this argument about how many people died or not?

The fake news was part of the objectives of whoever sent those soldiers there.

If the NA didn't kill anybody, they would have released a statement that they only shot blank in the air, but no, they said they didn't deploy soldiers there

Sanwo-olu too would have debunked the rumours of anybody being killed, but no, he said he was not aware of the incident

Judging from the IG streams, people would die either from stampede, bullet wounds, injuries, and delay in medical attention.

The government allowed the fake news to get to this level. Go to your streets and see people giving unspecified number of people that died

Whoever planned this did it to end Tinubu. Unfortunately, the virus don pass enter other states
The focus has shifted from the travesty that happened to 'Fake News'

Did Army open fire on innocent protesters or not or how did they wind up with bullet wounds?

When you have a Government that consistently lies and always fail to get on top of crisis matters why wouldn't there be fake news

Omo I fear who no fear una oh. You're still talking about propaganda when a massacre was televised on IG live. Then you had the official Twitter account of the Nigerian Army claiming they were not on the scene only for the sitting Governor to say they were responsible

Are you disputing the number of lives lost or are you lot saying nobody died like Sanwo olu. We know there must always be fake news in times like these but constant hammering on this is tantamount to playing the ostrich and burying your head in the sand

If this was a responsible government how does such tragedy happen and no government agency was on board to provide help? How wouldn't there be different news both authentic and fake circulating around when your government absconds from its duties

It's bizarre to see people here trying to bat for a government that will terminate them at the drop of a dime. Is it Stockholm's syndrome? Please make it make sense

But here we are in this thread and someone's trying to convince me that points don't mean anything if you're trailing by 15 grin

Man, I thought I had seen it all. Folks are trying to get even in the game and the points are stat-padding? Man, go ahead and fool yourself, you're on your own. I can't help you.
I hope you have finally gotten small ability to read so you don't goof 40 times while addressing what I actually say

It's a pity you are generally clueless on anything besides LeNomad knob polishing. There is a reason people take stock of these types of stats

If you're scoring 62% of your points in 3 straight losses with your team down by 15 points or more then that is statpadding and no responsible analyst will posit that LeNomad was effective and had a good series.

Teams with large leads typically don't play with the same intensity and when the bulk of your points come in those circumstances then it should be obvious they will not hold the same weight. But the mugu pseudo analyst will not grasp such basic concept

Oga, my position on this EndSar matter is well documented here so I don’t know what you are talking yapping about.

No victory you say, let’s check that out.

1. The IGP already announced the disbandment of SARS almost a week now.

2. The IGP says no member of the defunct SARS will be enlisted into the new tactical team.

3. The FG and the state government through NEC has agreed to set up Judicial panel in each state to investigate all cases of SARS abuse and Police brutality. According to the Supreme Court in Fawehinmi v IBB in 2003, only states can set up judicial panel. The FG can only set up for the FCT. Different states has started setting up Judicial panel. Both APC and PDP states.

Now let’s talk about what Lagos State Govt has done

1. All protesters that was arrested by police has been released unconditionally.

2. The Police officers that harassed protesters in Surulere have been arrested and currently going through orderly room trial. Even the victims has confirmed that its truly going on. After the orderly trial and if they have found guilty, they will be dismissed from the force after which criminal prosecution can start.

3. Lagos State has set up Judicial panel in accordance with the agreement state governors made with the FG. The panel was sworn in yesterday.

4. Lagos State has set up a restitution fund of 200m where victims of SARS and police brutality can get compensation from the state after the judicial inquiry.

5. Two Youth representative are meant to be on the Judicial panel but all the “supposed leaders or well known convener” of the protest has declined the invite to be on the panel. Falz says No, he will like to be on the sideline, Mrmacaronni says No while Banky W is looking for rep.

Lagos State govt has shown commitment to the demands of the EndSars, have invited the Youth to the table for dialogue and be part of the decision making but NO, let’s keep protesting.

No exit strategy, Just protest and insha allah. Now that thug has hijacked the protest and curfew declared in Lagos, Goodluck.

You can still disobey the curfew though and continue with your protest. Aluta continua
The Government you're out there defending is right now slaughtering it's people at Lekki. I hope their coffins rest on your conscience

Those that have relatively decent jobs to go to and profitable businesses to run will soon silence the majority that have neither of these and that have suffered all sorts of abuse at the hands of a callous ruling class.

There are several levels to the suffering and smiling that Fela sang about.
That is Nigeria for you no compassion and no empathy. E nor concern me e no affect me mentality. Indifference and nonchalance
