benji93: 90% from freethrow line? that would be a huge leap. 50% from the field won't be easy too. Doncic is another case study. While it's true that stars peak in their kid 20s on the average, you don't often get stars that already began playing professionally in Europe. He may be indeed close to his ceiling. We'll have to watch how this develops. If he takes less 3's and improve his free throws he would eliminate two of his biggest weaknesses easy. He's not a player that relies on athleticism either so it's really tough to say how close or far away he is from his ceiling. I struggle to believe a 21 year old in any sphere of life has hit their ceiling |

donjazet: Loftus cheek showed what a very good attacker he is before his injury. As I said earlier, I don't really know much about this havertz but the price tags places onerous burdens on his shoulders.
That kind of investment will necessitate immediate returns. He has potential but he's already 24. 3 full years older than Havertz. He should be a sure shot by now such that you would not be in the market looking for a Havertz Also the injuries are a factor. If he is a bit more fit he would be easier to evaluate. Of course Havertz might wind up a massive flop as well, however from what I've seen from both, Havertz has the higher ceiling. |

See even elite players struggle with playoff intensity and pressure never mind the ones that are middle tier. donjazet: You do realize that most of these players you mentioned, their purchases have been regretted by the boards that signed them?
you do realize that most of them flopped massively in their teams, right? My own is that havertz has to hit the ground running immediately. I personally don't know much about the guy or his actual abilities, a part of me still thinks he is very comparable with mount, rlc or Barkley in the AM role. When you are signed for 100 million, there can be no excuses for failure. He has to hit the ground running immediately and score and assist goals from the midfield. I wish him all the best. It's an insult to Havertz to mention him and RLC or Barkley in the same sentence. I still hear Mount because he has potential but Havertz is more versatile |

BlueAngel444: Frank Lampard's first 6 official signings:
Croatia Mateo Kovacic - £40m Morocco Hakim Ziyech £33m Germany Kai Havertz - £72m Germany Timo Werner - £47m England Ben Chilwell - £45m Brazil Thiago Silva - free
We're supposed to believe he has an "English bias" and no pull power though.
You have not started to live until you generate enough hate for yourself, that is the definition of success–when scums hate you You people have made some pretty smart buys. I see no reason why you guys aren't a lot more competitive in the league and Europe this coming season. I would have said that for the league Chelsea would be knocking on the door but with so many new signings you never can tell how they blend, but in Europe Quarter or semi should be a minimum |

Roland17: Also needs to cut down his TO. Defintely heading for greatness. Don't they all? I think these high usage players in this era are extremely prone to turnovers. It's why I take these assist numbers nowadays with a pinch of salt. For instance LeNomad is averaging 6 TOs per game in the Blazers series. They usually have incredibly high turnovers as well. |

Khanben: No athlete peaks at 21 yrs old whose natural life span ends in their 30's, unless they become lazy and their work ethic drops. History shows that a large majority of athletes peak in terms of performance in the mid and 20's. Luka still has a lot to improve and IMHO he has not even gotten to that stage where there is complete synergy amongst his athletic ability, Basketball IQ and experience. I agree. There are still some holes. He is still an average free throw shooter for example which makes absolutely no sense |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 3:45pm On Aug 24, 2020 |
chic2pimp: Funny enough I kind of see where you are coming from. You feel Luka is very close to His Ceiling which might very well be the case. I on the other feel He still has another 3-4 years of improvement left before plateau sets in (on the offensive end).
I think it's quite unrealistic to expect another 8-10 years of constant improvement. If however He makes me eat my words and that happens, then we are looking at Far and away the greatest offensive player of all time. Savour the moment fellas.
What I think will happen though is that by the time He plateaus, He would have gotten to such a High level all He needs to do is either maintain it or suffer an ever so slightly dip in form. He can then start working to improve the other side of His game. Whilst I don't He'll ever become a Great Defender , I reckon He can become a Good to a Very Good One.
In addition, His fitness levels would have improved massively and the Boy to Man body transformation would be complete. All in all, We are looking at one scary prospect here. What he needs is quality help now. The boy is a generational talent. He's just different from the rest. Get him pieces that fit his style while he spams the 3 a little less. He is already the best facilitator in the league in my eyes so how much higher can you go from there |

Robotic Sule was there too like a furniture. His 'slow mo' defending brought out the best from Neuer.
No wonder Bayern gave the captain's band to Neuer instead of Boathand that first joined the team. They know the leader in their defence. Are you done talking? Nigga tell me are you done talking. Where is Hummels? Salaye master
