My point is that Bottas should not be seen as weak for not challenging LH. He is definitely trying but its not just about the car.
Why not. When Rosberg was there the rest of F1 did not have a prayer, now Max is beating Bottas even with a slower car. Forget it. Bottas is basically a sentry to Lewis, he can't challenge him and is basically in the way of others who can

There is beauty in simplicity. If you want to know why some of us have been on this forum pushing decades now it's because of the simple and relatively stable layout. Barring the massive post wipeouts several years back this page has been relatively stable.

Don't gawk it like Ibime said, this forum is still the most visited webpage in the country and Seun is definitely cashing out with minimal overhead. This is chopping on a Solo Makinde level

I just told you that just over 1000 people are killed by Police each year and 17% are unarmed. That means over 170 unarmed Civilians are killed each year.

You only know the handful of names that BLM taught you and twisted your mind that is a racist agenda.

What of the other 170 deaths. Is it because WLM is not campaigning for them?

Abeg leave matter please. Any black guy you name, there are three equivalent white guys who died exactly same way, just that other races have better things to do than form professional protestors all day. Just the other week, I saw one white guy killed the exact same way as Eric Garner. I'm too grown for my emotions to be whipped up by anecdotal evidence. I need stats, not names.
https://mappingpoliceviolence.org/nationaltrends

You can see from there that a third of unarmed deaths from 2013-2019 were blacks.

I'm not a BLM apologist I'm well aware of their excesses like defunding police and other nonsense and if White people want to start their movement that is also up to them. Don't conflate issues. I'm saying it's absurd that 95% of officers that kill unarmed people walk away scotfree

Nobody is stopping any other race from protesting their protest so leave your story for Jimi Solanke

Before you reach any security official your Identity must be clearly shown, Not that I am in the process of showing it. Will yu attempt to cross security post at the airport without showing your Identity clearly? Masai was already at the security post and about going past it without showing the badge, should the security guard allow him to go without seeing his badge?

Which security post will alow someone "In the process of showing his ID" pass. An ID he cannot see? What says it might not be a Student badge or work badge of someone trying to bluff his way through
No one said allow him pass, were saying why do you shove him twice!! Are you telling me there is no non violent way to not allow him pass?

Did he resist? Was he aggressive towards the Deputy? Why are you making it sound like he was entering an army barracks.

He had no excuse to shove a man that did absolutely nothing to him verbally or physically twice!! And this is part of what I'm talking about

raumdeuter:
As a security guard, what you say does not matter its what you show, You can say you are DOnald Trump or Almighty Igor, Until he sees your badge that identifies you he cannot be moved

Anyone can claim anything caused him/her mental or psychological damage. Its to prove it in court, we have seen people who in divorce claimed emotional damage and got away, when there is money to be made, people claim all sorts of shady damages against the rich guy

Let Lebron splash water on your shoe or step on you, your lawyers will tell you how that has ruined your marriage life and career worth 300M

This security guard like I said, probably has let several black people through his ecurity post that night as expected in a Basketball game, why will he pick on Masai specifically to show his racism?
This goes to show he is a fraudulent personality (charged for felony insurance fraud) who had no business being at the job in the first place.

If a man who is no better or has the same moral compass as a street criminal is able to weasel his way to law enforcement then it's no wonder things are the way they are

He was reaching but has not showed the ID before running into the security guard. Was the guard supposed to move away for him because of "You don't know who I am?"

Why should he know the Raptor GM? He is just a security guy who was probably at a Jay Z concert yesterday, Ariana Grande day before and Justin Beiber 3 days earlier and Davido a week earlier
So he should probably know all the various managers of these too.

Being a Basketball game whch has a lot of black followers, Do you know how many black people went past his security post and he didn't have an altercation with on that same night?

How many non avid basketball followers knew Masai Ujiri before the Raptors won? It was until they made playoff that season before I even knew they has a Nigerian GM. I knew his name and didnt even know his face. If Masai Ujiri wearing suit bumps into you on the queue he will just be another well dressed young man

That was in LA not in Toronto, The officer is an LA cop, So you probably are expecting him to know all the GMs of all the basketball franchises in the NBA. If he can remember the faces of all important people that he has met and not met, he probably will be in a PhD class not a cop

His job is to stop ANYONE who does not have badge. Not to know them facially
Let's pretend he didn't know who he was. He saw him reaching for his credentials. You can see the rope in his hands you could hear him say he was the President of the Toronto Raptors and he shoved him again!!!

You can clearly see Masai stopped and was reaching for his credentials before he was shoved.

He shoved him for no reason and was such a coward he resorted to lying. Claiming Masai caused him physical, mental and emotional damage. Mind you this is a man that has been charged for felony insurance fraud. How on earth did he wind up in law enforcement?

How can you even be defending what this P.O.S did? I'm genuinely confused

In an armed situation where both parties are armed any thing can result into a shooting, havent you seen where ordinary Chelsea vs Arsenal argument turned into shooting because both parties were armed?

This GM Masai did not identify himself at that moment and was probably carried away by the heat of the moment so he likely forgot to get his badge out, So the officer rightly pushed him back and prevented him from going in because at that moment, Masai was an intruder going to where he was not authrorized to. What would you have done at that moment if you were the cop or by Masai

Its like the regular well dressed rich man who tries to break the law in Nigeria and our police allow them because of who they are we will also complain

Philando Castille was killed by a nervous Mexican Cop who seemed like he was having an emotional meltdown.

You do realise the underlying problem in Philandos death was 2nd Amendment than racism right?

I guarantee 90% of these deaths are second amendment deaths, whether from fearful, mentally unhinged or overreacting cops which was certainly the case with Philando, to the point the cop was even crying after shooting him because he knew he had lost his nerve.

Had the cop had no (irrational) fear of Philandos gun and had no gun himself, they could both be sharing a drink as buddies today.
So why are mentally unhinged and fearful overreacting cops so many in the system and why is it that a disproportionate number of black people get killed by them.

Let me even unlook the fact that your 90% claim is wildly inaccurate and accept that these things occur and it's not purely a race issue.

The likes of Sandra Bland, Botham Jean, Eric Garner, George Floyd, Stephon Clark, Tanisha Anderson were they armed?

This doesn't have anything to do with getting shot though.

I think where you and A40 are missing the point is in thinking we don't know cops are racists.

At the risk of over-simplification, Let us assume that anywhere there are white people there will be racism.

But despite the proliferation of racists in power all over the western world, these continuous shootings have been proven to be a distinctly American problem.

Naturally, this leads us to conclude that one of these two statements must be true.

1. America is the only country where violent people with racist sentiments work as police officers.

2. There are other underlying factors that facilitate the persistent shooting of citizens by police in America.

I would argue that statement two is more logical than statement one

I don't believe for a second that there are not violent racists in the UK police force today.

What I do know is that even the most racist cop here is statistically unlikely to have access to a gun.

This means that I have good reason not to worry about being shot during an encounter with a policeman at any time of day in this country - between 2012 and 2014, not a single person died from police bullet in the UK

Fix the systems, and the people will change.
Ohh I know you guys cannot be that naïve to believe there are no racist cops. I also don't suggest that all shooting incidents are purely a matter of race.

There are many factors that are at play here but you need to understand that the degree and history of racism and racial issues are far more worse in the US than in the UK. The degree of mistrust is simply not the same.

It's not enough to attribute this to purely gun violence when we see numerous instances of unarmed citizens still getting killed.

The long story short is racism and the second amendment are not going anywhere anytime soon so the only logical short and medium term solution is higher degree of accountability on police officers. An officer of the law knows that 99 times out of 100 if he infringes on your rights he will get away with it. That's why 99% of cops never get charged

They have a system that does not hold erring officers ACCOUNTABLE!! This is the biggest problem

Dayo we have seen similar scenarios play out like yours but still ended up fatal. There is absolutely no assurance that you will have a great encounter by following everything to the books. That is your own role, what is the role of the police officer in ensuring he is not judging you by the color of your skin during an encounter? Where is the responsibility and accountability from the officers? At what stage do yo say, officers need to be better during these encounters?
Philando Castile is a perfect example

I'm not saying they should not shoot. There will always be racist cops and bad cops that abuse their authority, however when you kill a cop you know you're bleeped for life if you ever get caught. However 99% of cops don't even get charged for shooting unarmed citizens no matter how egregious they were at their jobs, no matter the circumstances.

I don't know why Ibime is always trying to lump me in with Black lives matter megedefegede. All I suggest is an environment where even the police know that if you kill unarmed people without merit, there should be hell to pay

How many shots would be acceptable? You have handled a gun right before? when you bark out orders to someone, what will you do? The other 750 cops that died probably did not act fast enough in those last seconds alive

The first time police stopped me in America was the day Bayern beat Man Utd in 2010 and Robben scored, I was on the phone in New Jersey, where using a phone while driving is illegal. though it was legal in the other states I was coming from

I had to be on my best behavior for that few minutes

I want to get hom, the police wants to get home back to his family, Its best both of us work together to ensure that happens without incident
Enough to not drastically reduce his chances of survival, the more shots you rain on a human being the lesser his chances of survival. This is a domestic disturbance issue and I would like you to roll out the number of cops that get killed in such encounters

I have handled local rifle at my grandpa's funeral so obviously different scenarios.

Every one will not have the same encounter you will have with police, you were fortunate, I just gave you an instance of a GM that did nothing at all and was shoved twice by an overzealous officer. If you're going your way jeje and a police officer pushes you twice there are few people that will not lose their cool.

When you see law enforcement brazenly infringing on your rights are you sure you would be on your best behavior?

You choose what data you wish to process. There are hundreds of Police shooting armed civilians per year but it is not on Twittersphere because nothing to protest about. 83% of Civilians killed by Police in US last year were armed. On the other hand, 150 Police Officers were killed in line of duty in US last year.
I promise you nobody is on the streets marching for armed civilians engaging police. This stat is neither here nor there. Far too many unarmed people get killed without consequences. You as a citizen can never kill a police officer and go Scot free. There are institutions that will make your life a living hell. This should be the same for every unarmed civilian that gets killed. You shouldn't be getting paid leave FFS

Ibime:
This is why you have Police overreaction in US compared to UK which can go a whole year with zero police deaths in line of duty. Police vs Civilian in US can be like two soldiers facing each other cos they both have right to bear arms. The 17% of unarmed civilians killed by Police in US are mostly victims of Police fearing they could reach for weapon. Mr Blake is simply a victim of a hyperweaponised society where going into your car after a scuffle with Police can be interpreted as an attempt to reach a weapon.
Again. We have seen police kill unarmed people even when it has been established this person lacks the capacity to harm the police. The overreaction is crazy and uncalled for. And it's not down to purely weapons

In Mr Blake's case there is nothing he did that warranted 7 shots

Are they on bullet count audit? What level of fear/ insecurity justifies shooting a man 7 times with no established motive to hurt the officers?

Dayo, you are black man with kids living in America..This can absolutely happen to you even if you follow all the directions they ask! Just pray you meet a sane officer!! We have to stop making these ridiculous excuses.

A friend of mine was pulled over yesterday for no apparent reason and when he asked why they could not come up with any reason. The officers only asked him to go when they realized he was streaming the encounter live on facebook! My friend had his wife and thier new born baby in his car!!!!!

If you are wondering, this friend is a top healthcare executive in my state of residence. So its not about the hood or where you live even though those increase the risks!
You're going far sef. Didn't we see Masai Ujiri. Raptors GM on live TV in front of 20,000 people. This deputy wearing a body cam still shoved and pushed this Masai twice and lied about it

The 17 year old was found later and probably gave himself up with hands up otherwise he would have been shot if he came out forming commando.
Naah mate. You're the one that is ignoring patterns. In all these killings and shootings you have not produced one example where the people that were shot were actually armed. Scuffles should not lead to people getting shot period else how are they different from China and the other countries they malign for their human rights record

Ibime:
The law of gun is simple, don't do anything that will make a Policeman think you might reach for something. If you like kill 1,000 people, if you come out naked with hands up when olopa come for you, you will be arrested like any other citizen.

Most times if you start forming agidi and tussling during encounter with Police, or making sudden unpredictable movements, you are likely to get shot, because Policeman doesn't want to get shot himself.
Again you are deliberately choosing to isolate incidents and ignore patterns. I know what law of gun is but how many more unarmed civilians need to be shot? You're killing people coming out of liquor stores, breaking into their homes and shooting them.

Were seeing people that were either unarmed and doing agidi still get killed. So it's clear there is a problem and race is at the heart of it.

Taser is not a neutraliser where guns are at play, and often fail. We saw how in our last debate about the guy at Wendys was tasered and dragged taser from the Police. You try tasering a man reaching for gun, chances are you will be the one to die. Video below shows a Vibranium-enhanced nigga eating taser like it's nothing.

If he did have a gun in the car and they tried the taser approach in Obainojazz video below, chances are one of them would be killed. The Police in Obainojazz video is stüpid for trying to taser someone potentially reaching for weapon and it failed. She is lucky he did not have gun.

I have said before 80% of Police matter in US is a 2nd amendment issue. This is definitely one of them.
These guys apply this use of excessive force both on armed and unarmed persons. This armed and second amendment excuse you dey usually use no dey sit right with my soul

These are two professional basketballers that were unarmed. One was tazed for a parking violation, the other had his leg broken for basically standing outside of a night club

We saw the Raptors GM that was shoved while trying to get on the court multiple times even before he got a chance to show his ID (what are the odds that as an officer you're so stupid to not to know the GM of the Finals opponent) this man even with a body cam and 20,000 people in attendance had the nerve to lie and claim Masai pushed him and attacked him and caused him emotional damage

What do you now think will happen to the average Joe Blow on the street when even wealthy and privileged people who are clearly unarmed experience such treatment

And men dey there dey compound the guy woes.

They don't know these bitter ladies would not think twice before slaying then.

The thing is everyone should be careful because the world we've found ourselves is a one that wants freedom of expression and wants conservation at the same time.
Don't mind the men.

We have a new and pathetic bunch these days whose M.O is to pander and brown nose at any given opportunity. Some actually put on that act to bed as many of these raging misandrists as possible but eventually cast at last.

You see actual Men type shit like "Men are disgusting" like nigga are you a camel now?

I've seen this video several times and I'm more convinced of his innocence with each watch.
She was a substitute, who was substituted off with her team losing a UCL semi. The babe was crying sef.

If Na woman touch man like that, hot takes twitter for silent like church mouse.
Exactly. I think he kept moving his hands to the least controversial of places and was not squeezing or groping. Just consoling her. Expecting objectivity from this branch of Twitter is jonzin though

That's why I said that you could argue he should have been a bit less physical but this whole idea that he's some type of perv and other unprintable names this man has been slammed with is a bit unfair
