If you're Porzingis I don't know that you want to squander your prime on a rebuilding team. Remember this was the same team whose fans were booing when he got drafted
This is a great deal for the Mavs. Offloading Jordan and Matthews to get a younger Porzingis is an absolute robbery. The only downside is taking an unrepentant shot chucker like Hardaway Jr and his bogus deal but if that's what it takes to get the unicorn then it's a small price to pay |

Khanben: Which ones?? Trying to put players in their place led to what is happening to a storied franchise like the Bulls till date(their problem started after dismantleing a 3peat team with their own hands) New England Patriots, San Antonio Spurs, Pittsburgh Penguins even my Steelers who started having problems the moment they started enabling their players. All players must know their place! That's why it's a team sport. Even in individual sports you still need to listen to your team The Bulls didn't dismantle. It had run it's course. Abi what else is a double three peat Champion supposed to go out and achieve again? |

Khanben: Where was the Celtics loyalty when they traded Isaiah Thomas in a heartbeat. Where was the loyalty from the Raptors when they package off Derozan and waved him goodbye just to get what might end up being a one year rental. Lets not forget what the Clippers did to Blake AD has given the Pelicans seven good years with him performing at all-nba level for 5 of those years. I'm glad he asked for a trade because his situation was becoming like that of the Big ticket in Minnesota, who wasted most of his prime with a team that had no plans. Loyalty should be a two way street, if the owner is expecting it from a player then he should be showing it also to same player. Do you know what players of AD's caliber count as loyalty, putting him in a situation where he can win. this dude has the 3rd best career PER in NBA history behind only MJ and Lebron and in seven years he has only made it to the playoffs twice common on man. If he was a spoiled brat like you are trying to insinuate staying at the pelicans would be the best move cause in new Orleans he has the chance to be the first $300 million players. We call a business when the owner trades a player after making promises but when a player decides to take charge of his life we cry foul. BIG WUP Neither party is right nor wrong in this instance. AD has the right to decline an extension and the Pelicans are also allowed to stand Pat and wait for the best possible package. Suggesting that the Pelicans didn't make moves to help him is a bit unfair, New Orleans are a small market and would always struggle to lure free agents. They got guys like Holiday, Mirotic and Handle (decent acquisitions) I actually thought they would be good this season but they have been one of the Amaka's of the year. I only hope AD is making a basketball decision not an emotional one. Can he handle LA pressure? |

donlittle25: Three first round pick, Tatum, and a player here or there and I will trade Davis.
He already said he is not resigning. Don't play around till time gets close Tatum is on a rookie contract. Celtics would be daft to trade him. I'd move Hayward, Brown and a few picks. Hell throw in OhJaylay and Rozier if necessary |

Khanben: If I was Magic, i would just tell the pelicans to just name their price and give them whatever they ask for at first time of asking. Kuzma, Lonzo, Ingram, Zubac, KCP, and one first round pick. This is very risky considering how injury prone Anthony Davis can be. I would try to hold on to one of the younger guys at the very least |

Kyrie is just mental! His bad 3rd quarter really hurt the Celts. A pity the Celtics didn't win that one, Golden State tried all its possible best to hand them the win in the closing sequence.

drisham: The next time Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is asked about Eden Hazard he should avoid saying anything negative, whatever he actually thinks. It is very, very risky to criticise your players in public like Sarri did this week - even if you know you are right. Sometimes as a manager you really want to be open about what you are thinking, good or bad, and for the right reasons. You are hoping your players respond in the right way. But if that openness is misinterpreted by them, then you have more problems. What you really don't want is a situation that plays out in the media like the one we have just seen at Chelsea. The only people who benefit when that happens are the newspapers. Sarri spoke about Hazard, calling him an individual and not a leader, and then Hazard responded by basically saying he does not care what his manager thinks, he is still going to do his thing - so shut up! That is already a sign of what can go wrong when you call your players out. I have never really felt like Sarri's job was at risk through all this but, if they keep talking about each other then, as a manager, he is in trouble. That has nothing to do with the power of the player involved, either. Yes, Hazard is Chelsea's best player, and they rely on him too much, but it is the whole dressing room that Sarri has to handle here and keep happy, not just an individual. 'Sarri should talk to his players, not about them' This is what we the anti-shaku shaku crew have been pointing out for years. Even managers are now tired |

chic2pimp: I'm not completely writing Him off. He just wouldn't develop into the Superstar athlete we thought He would. I have little hope He'll get much better than He currently is. The Lad seems to have plateued. He is neither progressing nor regressing. It's a sad sight. Nevermind Number one option, If Wiggins is your Number two option, you have little to no chance of winning a chip. He is not trying. And doesn't seem to care. I think that lies his biggest problem. It's disappointing because you see players each year add a new tool to their game but he is actually regressing each year --stats back it up-- so you have to wonder if Minnesota aren't regretting prematurely paying him max |

Khanben: All-star starters list is just whew, i want to complain about AD not making it in the west, but every other person there deserved it. The next step for the league after elimination east and west from the game proper, is to just make the selections itself about, the best 24 players of the first half of the league irrespective of conference. KD is probably the only person I can take AD out for but then what are the odds of that happening |

Khanben: Wiggins just simply lacks effort and the will to put it all on the line game after game He's still so young it feels bad that anybody should be writing him off at this age. I think he has the ability, you see it some nights when he's engaged but these are too few and far between. I always use D'Angelo Russell as an example. A high draft pick traded just after two seasons. A lesser man would be demoralized but he grit his teeth and is dropping a career year, he's younger, smaller than Wiggins and playing for a far worse team yet he isn't using that as an excuse to not ball |

chic2pimp: Embiid would have probably gone number one if He did not injure himself. Also you really can't blame Minnesota's front office for picking Wiggins. They couldn't have forseen Andrew's total lack of commitment to improving himself as a player. We are talking about a Guy that had a ridiculously high Ceiling. One of the greatest two way players of all time calibre talent. Unfortunately His is a case of unfulfiled potential.
If only He had the work ethic or the drive of an Embiid or Adetokunbo. He's still only 23 and I hate writing off young players but I don't know if the Wolves paid him too early and he just got comfortable. If this was the NFL where most of the money isn't guaranteed he would be facing a cut. He's usually healthy and each time I remember guys like Brandon Roy who tried and tried to make comebacks but his body just didn't let him it makes Wiggins efforts even more disrespectful to his team |
