How do you expect to score If the Midfield keeps creating one chance per game?

The question is does Torres himself put himself in a position to get more than one chance per game? If he is not breaking down attacks with his tentativeness or his being inert,he is being shoved off the ball offering little or no resistance at all!
He is not scoring not creating chances for others to score and is generally not doing anything on the pitch
