Egg layers, one of the baby from the frizzle 4. Eggs layed so far, all fertile eggs, I don chop two from the eggs What do you do with the penicillin.?

Mariangeles: I don't think so. Just on a small scale level and sold as a refreshing drink. Why I respect them is 'cause they grow most of the foods we eat in Nigeria.
Nigerians are hardly innovative, but they're good at stealing and perfecting other's ideas.
There was one groundnut product that was made in Ghana, it was so simple, I wondered why no one ever thought of that idea. (It's like groundnut chinchin) The product was brought to Nigeria and people loved it so much and were buying it.
Prior to then, Nigerians only just basically roasted and poorly packed their groundnuts in empty old bottles or nylons, but when they saw that that product was selling out fast, they started producing it in Nigeria and selling some at a cheaper price to compete with the one from Ghana. Ghana has substantial Hausa speakers having same/similar culture with the northerners. There is a groundnut product here called Kantun Ghana, named after Ghana apparently. I can't tell if it originates from there. But northerners customarily attributes/credits the sources/bearers. Like Dan Anacha, a yam specie they got from Onitsha, hence the name Dan (son of/from) Anacha (Onitsha). Attached are some groundnut products very common in the north. All have existed for eons. 1 - Kantun Ghana 2 - Kaukau/Badda Kobo/Hallaka Kobo 3 - Garnet 4 - Mitmis There is also crunchy Kulikuli, Pinot cincin (homemade burgers peanut snack), steamed-dried shelled groundnut e.t.c

I have released the 7 poults from last hatch to join other turkeys outside today. They're 2 months 3 weeks old.
They integrate well with the older turkeys (parents & 3 senior siblings), no injuries or serious threat so far.

More hatchlings update.
The other turkey hatches four. 2 turkey hens hatches just 7 eggs this time.
They brood in a new place and got disrupted midway.
One developing egg was broken, 3 eggs got missing. The male turkey crack out a poult (died later) out of an egg, in some mornings he will chase them from the nest or lead other grown turkeys there to make loud weird noises.

moneylam: Nice work u'r doing. You will really have many of them by end of the year. I also wish I can see healthy ones to buy. Thanks, I hope to have as many as possible. Adult turkeys are health wise usually strong, they're less susceptible to common poultry diseases. You can raise day olds too if you have raised broilers before. |

Redomi: , oh thank you sir, I bought 6 more from one woman here, they are 7 months old, but not as big as mine that is 3 weeks old today I bought the 6 for 10k, hoping they will grow with intensive feeding Young turkeys dont grow well if given non standard feed. In attached photo the biggest turkey is 6 weeks old. Second biggest is 6 weeks 3 days old, the smaller ones are 5 weeks old. The biggest is fed starter feed all through while the rest are free ranged - look at the size difference. See complete video: youtube.com/ watch?v=53ZSTTCQd-0 Let's hope for their fast pace growth on the feed you give the 3 weeks olds .

Redomi: Waooo, I love this thread and I would love to join the train. My turkey lay 14 eggs, first week on her brooding the eggs, I removed 4 eggs that are not fertile and I left 10 fertile eggs for her. She hatched 9, one couldn't hatched because she doesn't have the upper beak to open the egg shell, I saw that when I examined what could lead to her death. They are one week old on Wednesday. They were hatched on Wednesday 15th December 2021, so I bought one carton of noiler chicks, I separated them from the mother on the third day when the noiler arrived. Chai, both mother and chicks noise filled the whole compind throughout the whole day. But they are all good now, the mother should start laying by February. I plan to leave all the 9 poult and sell the boilers at 4-5 weeks old. I want to keep the turkey for breeding. If one can manage to raise them, and you have like 10 females that are laying and hatching, you are ok, 6 weeks turkey will be sold between #2500-#3000, do the calculation and see how much million you will make on 20 female turkey in a year. They will lay at least thrice a year Welcome aboard! I had a turkey that hatches 9 out of 12. All 9 survives to maturity. Pic 1: Day 1 Pic 2: 3 months 3 weeks Pic 3: 8 months plus with their babies. I kept three, 1 tom & two hens. Their chicks have all shades of colors, some like grandma from Pic 1.
