You are so mumu. Now let me ask you why did we call Tinubu Jagaban
Is Jagaban not an hausa language?

Ode buruku. Go n learn joor .

Jagaban was dashed to Tinubu by an Emir, while Albulfatah Ahmed adopted the name Mai Gida on his own accord.

Not just tinubu, his wife was also given a title along with him by same Emir. Even though Tinubu has not contested for any political post thereafter but his wife was elected to the senate twice, interestingly, that Northern title is never seen on her campaign posters, her facebook publicist's page or printed on shirts for herself and her supporters.

Before the elections Muhammadu Buhari was honoured with a chieftaicy title in Igbo land(Ogbuagbu 1 of Aba), but he didn't campaign with that title in or outside Igbo land.

Kwara's governor's case is different, I asked a simple question, why is he campaigning with Hausa name that is not even a title conferred on him by any Hausa chieftain, in a suppossedly non Hausa speaking state?

This is not Hausa
Shey Hausa dey use cowries NI? No cow but goat no camel but tractor.
Make no mistake Hausa does not in any way rule Kwara state.

I am from Kwara state in Ekiti Local government. Kwara south are predominantly yorubas. Kwara state generally speaks Yoruba after English.

Yoruba language are major language then nupe or takpa n fulfude.
Nobody is Hausa in Kwara state. The only thing we have is Fulani
We call Them Fulani yoruba

And they are descendant of Zulu gambari.

The emirate is in rotation.

Last emir was Ahlaji agba a direct descendant of Afonja then this emir is a Zulu a Fulani

Bukola saraki is not even from Ilorin he is from Osun .

The present governor is not Hausa but Takpa or Nupe people.

Yoruba dominate Ilorin
I spent my primary school
Secondary school n institution in Ilorin
I was even born in Ilorin which is the state capital.

Kwara south are Yoruba which are Ofa ,oro which is Igbomina , Ekiti n oke ero

This Kwara south especially ofa has been supporting Other Yoruba state in term of politics.

Its only in Ilorin which is the capital that Fulani are popular.

During Governor Lawal who died. He attempted to depose the Emir of Ilorin n crown his dad as Oba n not as Emirate but they were not allowed.

The Fulani in Ilorin can't even speak their own language without yoruba . Yoruba language dominate all the language . The only thing is that Muslim owns Ilorin . I am a Christian n christian too are many in Ilorin. The deputy governor is a yoruba from south . they are always from south. Kwara only problem is the sarakis
After nothinfg else.

If nobody speaks Hausa in Kwara why did your governor nicknamed himself Mai gida? A hausa word meaning "Owner of the house" or "Oga".

It doesn't stop there, since you said he's Nupe, and Yoruba and Nupe are the major languages spoken in Kwara, what prevented him from coining from Yoruba or Nupe the word Maigida?

First photo is from the gov's website:

islam1001:

I REALLY THINK PEOPLE SHOULD STOP MAKING NOISE ABOUT PHP , TO ME PHP SUCKS AND THIS ARE MY REASONS :----

The ternary operator

In most programming languages the ternary operator is right-to-left assocative. This allows you to write things like this:

print((foo == 1) ? "uno" : (foo == 2) ? "dos" : "tres"wink;
print("\n"wink;

This chunk of code obviously outputs the word uno.

PHP's implementation of this operator has left-to-right. I dare you to guess what the following PHP snippet outputs:

<?php
$foo = 1;
print(($foo === 1) ? "uno" : ($foo === 2) ? "dos" : "tres"wink;
print("\n"wink;
# (I use the === operator out of good habit.)
?>

Hint: it's not the word uno.

Nesting using a ternary operator messes your code, you can have more than 10 nested "if" statements indented below one another. You can even add comments and will be appealing to read. The switch statement also give neater code than the ternary operator.

The || and && operators

In non-retarded programming languages, they return either the result of the left operand or the result of the right operand.

In PHP, 5 || 4 returns 1. 0 || 6 returns 1.

While most people use || as a "default value" operator:

$foo = $bar || "default value";

this cannot be done in PHP.
Invoking external programs

I didn't quite grasp your grouse with the "||" and "&&". Fact is I have no idea what you're trying to demonstrate. If there's any other example and explanation in your arsenal to prove they lag as compared to other languages please grace us with it.

In PHP, the names of built-in functions are inconsistent. Is it isset() or is_set()? Is it isnull() or is_null()? Is it sort() or array_sort()? Is it merge() or array_merge()? Even I don't remember. I have to look up the PHP documentation to answer these. I'll let you do the same.

The arguments to built-in functions are inconsistent.

The built-in functions' return values are inconsistent.

The number of built-in functions is too large. Do we really need 11 sort functions (scroll down)?

Those functions could be easily looked up on Php documentation, or Php website. Just by sparing few minutes to read through, you can get your head around them pretty well. If you're confusing Php functions with other languages's, you have none other to blame but yourself..

Function names are case-insensitive, but variable names are case-sensitive. WHY?

You will do just fine if you call a function by its proper wording and casing, same with variable names. And even If the case sensitivity is tweaked the other way round people will still complain.

As I've stated above, the vast majority of official and user-contributed documentation is poor.

PHP's authors have made a few non-backward-compatible changes to the language. Not just between PHP4 and PHP5, but in minor point releases of PHP4.
Magic Quotes

There is also the fact that PHP ever had the magic_quotes feature in the first place. While it's been turned off by default for quite some time, and will be removed from PHP 6, it will still affect you for some time to come in the following situations:

When writing programs to distribute to other people who may be running PHP4 or PHP5. Such as yet another forum or CRM package.
When writing programs you may port from one operating system to another someday. Even if both are running the same version of PHP...

...You see, there's one particular PHP feature called magic_quotes_gpc, where things get "interesting". It is on by default in PHP4. It is off by default in PHP5 on certain Linux distributions; on in others. You can probably stick "php_flag magic_quotes_gpc" off in apache.conf or .htaccess. But some shared-hosting providers make this impossible.

The people that deprecate "magic_quotes" say we're good to go with "mysql_real_escape_string" and "htmlentities" or "htmlspecialchars" or just the prepared statements.

In the worst case, you may very well have to pollute your code with things like this. (There are common techniques such as ereg_replace("/\\/", ""wink that a lot of programmers use, which do not work right in all cases.

Regular expressions will also give us a level of protection with tons of functions like the preg_replace, str_replace, strtr e.t.c and in case of arrays the preg_grep before imploding.

If you know the right characters to escape and a good knowledge of regular expressions you will sanitize incoming data with your custom regex codes.

More like hatred for the whole North, the cities Kano, Sokoto and Kaduna he mentioned hinting they will never relent from attacking are all Northern cities.

Tijjaniyya, Quraniyya, Shi'a e.t.c that he promised to continue targetting are all Muslim sects.

But these cities are not in crisis, and there isn't any recent BH attack on them. In the last 5 months the number of BH fighters killed by the Nigerian army far supercedes the number Killed by Boko Haram.

Shekau has a repute of boasting about succesful raids by his group in almost all his videos and mocking soldiers and reiterating how much of a dreadful force Boko Haram is.

But in this video all he could muster up is "Idriss deby has an eye like a goat", "Buhari do you worship cow?", "You fly in the sky bombarding us, but god is above you high above the sky".

The man is jittery, the only message he passed is "he is alive", and that is no news. He's alive simply because he has been running and hiding for quite a while now, but as porous as our borders are the men tasked with getting him D or A are still commited to their cause.

Anambra state's take off was very bad, other states enrolled in this FG's initiative do not start with a meagre 4,000 farmers. Kebbi for example started with more than 70,000 farmers, Adamawa is about to register 120,000 farmers, plateau has registered 100,000 and Jigawa 50,000.

There are other states currently registering, none with less than 4,000 farmers.

I believe Anambra is bluffing. I will agree if the claim is about feeding Anambra only. Nigeria and Africa cannot be fed by one state with 4,000 rice farmers in just 8 local govts.
it is impossible, the claim is absurd, believe at your own peril.

You don't answer my questions, yet you expect me to answer yours.

I told you I wouldn't reply you again if you accepted a line of thought. You've subtly accepted it, and I will do exactly what I said I would--ignore you.

Being able to read does not make you intelligent. When you read the very first sentence "The Federal Government has released N26 billion towards the 2015 annual dry season farming programme aimed at producing more food for Nigeria" and take it to mean that N26b was budgeted for the entire Agriculture ministry and not just the dry season farming programme, I begin to question your educational background.

Did you write WASSCE, NECO, or even UTME? If you did and your comprehension is this off, I don't want to ask what you scored in English Language or Use of English.

Clearly, you are not reading the texts in the links I've shared, so I'll let you wallow in your ignorance and self-aggrandized misconception.

Move along. And let me repeat, quoting me 100 times would not be enough to get me to reply you.

I'm done with you.

-Lord

Let's dissect the part of my post that you choose to attack.

Throughout I never mention "ministry of agriculture", those are your words.

A7:

Jonathan budgeted 26 billion for Agriculture, for the whole country. Let's clap for Jonathan.

I know it will save me the trouble if I use "dry season farming". My laziness to type 1 word instead of 3, and assuming since focus of discussion is a branch of agriculture, agriculture will suffice has now made me to type not just 3 words but sentences.

I don't owe any explanation you're just grasping at straws that why you're churning out red-herrings.

A7:

But the 15 billion you're quoting is actually about 17bn, and that's for Kebbi alone. Just one state. Jonathan's intervention to give us food security is by budgetting a meagre 27 billion for irrigation for the whole country. Under Buhari however one state received 17bn to boost rice production alone through irrigation farming.

What emphasis will spell it more bluntly like the bolded part above.? Don't you know what irrigation mean?

Imagine the irony, you claimed to read and have even quoted the same post, but think I have comprehension issue.

Bottomline is, the breakthrough we're witnessing is due to Buhari's drive to diversify the economy, it might be a bad news to you but, I believe it is only the beginning, just because jonathan failed doesn't mean Buhari will tow same path, and height of senselessness is not wishing success to this administrations good endeavours like diversification through africulture.

GEJ implemented good agricultural policies under his then minister of Agriculture, but he never banned rice importation as he claimed. So there was little demand for local content. What's the essence of having a lot of products when you cant sell cos of foreign competition?

Simple arithmetic exposes them, local production is present even before any of their parents are born, they claimed to have added seven million tonnes to the existing local production. And we import additional 4.something million tonnes. The ridiculous thing is they pegged our annual consumption at 6.1 million tonnes.

What do we do with the rest million tonnes? Remember, they never claimed exporting million tonnes of rice at any moment.

I think they wanted to tell us they have million tonnes in phantom rice reserves

Please, don't irritate me.

This is a succinct description of the Anchor Borrowers Programme (ABP). "The ABP aims at creating economic linkages between over 600,000 smallholder farmers and reputable large-scale processors with a view to increasing agricultural output and significantly improving capacity utilisation of integrated mills."

Oga, the question I want to ask you is simple. Who built the integrated mills that the ABP is connecting farmers to? When were they built? And who facilitated th conducive business environment for them to be built?

And do you honestly believe that planning for the ABP starting in May when Buhari came in. You do know that screening of ministers was in November right?

If you think the CBN thought up this policy between May and November without the input of a formal minister of Agriculture, I will not reply you again.

Don't yap like an educated illiterate. Use your brain.

-Lord

A statement from one of the links you posted will give us more insight on what we're dealing with here.

It reads:

"The president noted that rice farmers across the country now had a new lease of life, owing to the transformation taking place in the sector. He said over six million rice
farmers
have received improved rice seed varieties, boosting domestic rice production by an additional seven million tonnes.

http://www.premiumtimesng.com/business/175496-jonathan-approves-n26-billion-2015-farming-season.html

Upto may 2015 out of our annual 6.something million tonnes of rice consumption our local production hardly reach 2.5 million tonnes.

Kebbi state, which currently harvest over 1.2 million tonnes(highest since birth of our democracy) only boast of close to 300, 000 rice farmers.

There are a lot of stuff that are apparently false and are peddled by the last administration, I think indulging to refute all of it is a waste of my precious time, those of us that are not birdbrained, easily see through them.

But be that as it may, do you care to explain what prevented Jonathan from increasing our local rice production by seven million tonnes despite creating a convivial environment for farming and giving high yield seeds to over six million farmers?.

I think am modest here, I should have asked, When did we ever produce even the seven million tonnes they claim to add to local production throughout the 6 years they held sway.

GEJ provided 26b from a 4 trillion naira budget. Buhari provided 15b from a 6 trillion naira budget and you are here spreading saliva disgustingly.

This performance is nothing compared to what Buhari should be able to do. In fact, put a 6-year old there, and he would do better.

If Kebbi alone could harvest more than million metric tonne of rice through this initiative, what could we expect from Niger and other states with more arable land than Kebbi.

Dude, I believe the stone comparison best apply to Jonathan.

So you think it is ordinary N15b that transformed the rice industry in Nigeria?

Read: FG establish 10 integrated rice mills and 6 Cassava processing plants in 2014

We expect 7 rice mills to be set up in Kebbi
http://www.dailytrust.com.ng/daily/agriculture/33479-we-expect-7-rice-mills-to-be-set-up-in-kebbi

As at 2013, we already had 15 high-powered mills operating in the country between 2010 and 2013, 13 set up within 1 year
https://www.nairaland.com/1558518/videos-15-new-rice-mills

My question is how many mills has Buhari set up. The only people looking to set up a new mill is recent times is the Lagos state government investing in Kebbi state.

The rice farmers are even lucky that they had an exclusive agreement with the FG under GEJ, with the PMB government just following suit. The other farmers are having a tough time as fertilizers are hard to source these days, thanks to government's incompetency. If the fund hadn't been managed by the CBN, the outcome would have been very different.

You are arguing with stagger who has extensive knowledge of the agricultural terrain in Nigeria, when you can't even boast of one plot of farmland.

Do you think you can just sit in your house, wave a magic wand and then rice production would increase? Use your brain.

-Lord

You will do well if you take the advice you gave to the gentlemen you quoted to not be ignorant. If you truly educate yourself by reading the links you quoted, you wouldn't have supported the dude earlier attributing all credit to Jonathan.

Firstly, labana rice is not from govt owned mill, it also predates Jonathans paper promise of setting up new mills by two years. It is pertinent to note up till jonathans exit, not a single fg rice mill is commissioned.

The labana rice that is processing 300 tonnes daily as at today, is almost moribund 1 year ago. Kebbi state that produced 1.2 million tonnes this year alone in one harvest only use to produce 700, 000 tonnes or less in 3 harvests before.

The initiative that brought about this development, the Anchor borrowers programme was launched on nov 2015. That's Six months after Buhari became president.

So if there's anyone not being true to facts, it will be you.

It is pertinent to note throughtout Pdp's 16 years reign, and Nigeria's history as whole 5000 megawatts power generation peak only came to being after Apc's 8 months in power. To well meaning Nigerians this is a good news to saboteurs and the wicked this must be squashed. if indeed ffk/Pdp is concerned about Nigeria/Nigerians, their voices and action will be noticed opposing activities of Niger delta avengers, contrarily they're at the forefront of abetting these miscreants.

Our power plants are majorly gas powered plants and the drastic cut in gas supply due to NDA's economic sabotage led to what we're witnessing right now. But I believe ffk and other like minded minions celebrated too early.

The concerted effort and commitment shown for power generation by this govt is unprecedented, already construction work is ongoing at 700mw Zungeru hydro electric dam, the last time we had a new dam was 1990(shiroro) and there wasn't any single subsequent power project whose installed capacity came close to that of shiroro dam. This administrations Zungeru dam supercede shiroro by 100mw. How about the proposed 1000mw solar projects? And The 4000mw Mambila hydro station?. The ungoing revival of Jebba, Kainji and Shiroro dams?

And is ffks wailing about the economy reasonable at all?

Is there any sense in saying "We produce less crude and the price of the commodity has nosedived by 2/3 compared to 14months earlier" and then went to say "Why is our foreign earnings lesser than 14 months earlier".?

Doesn't ffk know just as crude oil is our major export, that same crude products are our major import. The same dollar we receive after exporting crude is the same dollar we give sourcing this crude products. Not only do we deplete the dollars on petrol, gas, kerosene etc, we also import almost everthing.

Upto this moment there never existed even a lunatic economist whose afflictions ever lured him to saying "importation dependant mono economies are bound to sustain longer". Jonathan for over five years failed to diversify the economy, our common wealth is looted with impunity, we borrow to pay salaries. The refineries and power plants are in complete wreck, he's only accomodated because of Nigerian's obediance to rule of law. His ills and sychopantry of deranged beings like ffk landed us into this economic mess.

However, the person/government the wailers love to hate have done in just a year what the ineffectual buffon fails to achieve throughtout his stay, today Kebbi state alone has produced over a million metric tonnes of rice, other 14 states enrollment for this programme by the federal government is underway, by this time next year what happened in Kebbi state will be replicated in those states.

The Fg gave priority to other foodstuff as well, at the moment rice and wheat are at the forefront. The success of this initiative will not only revitalize the economy, it will also gradually lift the long "oyel" curse on us. The diversification also covers revival of moribund companies, exploration of other mineral resources etc.

The claim that Boko Haram has resurrected from the dead and are getting bigger and bigger is well refuted using ffks antics. This man has a repute for breaking any attack or attempted attack by Boko Haram, check his timeline, he merely mention even the word "Boko haram or Bomb or Shekau" nowadays.

Infact a shattering blow is given to Boko Haram that decimate, disband, relegate and disorganized almost everything about them. 14 months earlier they hoist flags and declare a caliphate spanning into about 4 northeastern states, they're effectively in control of 14 local govt's, they overran state capitals, towns, and villages. They kill, maim, destroy at will.

The reverse is the case now, just like the dinosaurs Boko haram are heading to extinction. Interestingly, ffk, pdp and rest ills tormenting us as nation are towing the same path, and someday will be history.

This can be used to change users cookie, if you decided to have a "logout all" feature on your site, and when users click it the current cookie will increment by 1 and when next a user logs in a new unique encrypted cookie will be created rendering other login cookies in other browsers obsolete.

Create these functions:

function user_exists($username){
//query the db and return true if $username exist on users table.
}

function login_green($username, $password){
//query the db and return true if function variables match users table username and password.
}

function encrypted_cookie($cookie_count, $user_id, $signup_time, $username){
//md5 and crypt(crypt_std_des) and part of your username as salt will be used to create a unique and secure cookie, with of course the incoming function variables.
$pa = crypt($user_id, 'pa');
$ra = crypt($signup_time, 'ra);
$no = crypt($username, 'no');
$conc = $cookie_count.$one.$two.$three; //the dot(.) joins all the three encrypted strings and $cookie_count.
$enc_cookie = crypt($conc, 'rm');//rm is just the 7th and 8th letters in your username
return $enc_cookie;
}

Html field:
<form action='login.php' method='post'>
<input type='text' name='username'>
<input type='password' name='password'>
<input type='submit' name='submit' value='Login'>
</form>

Php codes for login page
if(isset($_POST["submit"])){
if(isset($_POST['username'], $_POST['password']) &&!empty($_POST['username']) &&!empty($_POST['password'])){
$username = trim($_POST['username']);
$password = trim($_POST['password']);
if(user_exists($username) == true){
if(login_green($username, $password) == true){
//SELECT * FROM `users table, use mysqli_fetch_row to keep the resulting fields array in a variable, name it whatever you like, e.g "$row".

//Set the cookie

$encrypted_cookie = encrypted_cookie($row['cookie_count'], $row['id'], $row['signup_time'], $row['username']);

$cookie = md5('cookie'); //name it whatever you like

$duration = strtotime('+ 100 days'); //100 days is cookies expiration time. if you like put 100 years.

setcookie($cookie, $encrypted_cookie, $duration, '/', '', '', true); //this is one of the ways to set cookies

$sanitized_cookie = mysqli_real_escape_string($con, $encrypted_cookie); //$con is your database connection access, and the function mysqli_real_bla_bla is like a watchdog for housekeeping, it will keep your db records safe.

if(empty($row['current_cookie'])){
("UDATE `users` SET `current_cookie`='".$sanitized_cookie."' WHERE `id` =".$row['id']."wink;
}else{
if($row['current_cookie'] !== $encrypted_cookie){//when logout all is used, new cookie is created, below code will update users record with new cookie.
//("UDATE `users` SET `current_cookie`='".$sanitized_cookie."' WHERE `id` =".$row['id']."wink;
}}
header("Location: index.php"wink//end of login and setting cookie.
}}}}

Politics / Re: You Can Now Buy Rice At N7,000 Per Bag Thanks To An Increase In Local Production by A7(m): 9:15pm On Aug 02, 2016
Beremx:
We should stop deceiving ourselves. The local production of rice cannot solve the high demand of rice by Nigerians. Rice still has to be imported to support the local production.

Hey there.

Presently kebbi alone has produced 1.something million tonnes of rice. Our annual rice consumption is 6.something million tonnes out of which only 2.something tonnes is produced locally.

200.something billion was budgeted for a programme themed "anchor borrowers". Kebbi is the first state to access that fund, 13 other states will soon join probably in the next couple of months. I think I read somewhere that Kano and Sokoto states already kickstarted.

Apparently Kebbi was a success, apart from producing over a million tonne, one of their moribund companies "Labana rice mill" is processing 300 tonnes of rice diurnally.

I also read somewhere that other reluctant Kebbi farmers have pledged to join in the next harvest.

I believe, contrarily to what you think, if we can and continue to replicate what was done in Kebbi state to other states, we will not only reduce importing rice, we will export it and by extension have more mills springling up, more jobs created and more forex.
