Sanata mai kan dodo. El rufai has advised this man to draw a parallel between activism and politics. When you choose to be two people at the same time one of you is bound to trip on the other. Perhaps he is busy combing/styling his Afro, he should have listened. |
Buhari made a factual statement, the weapons turned Libya and neighboring countries into hell holes, the violence witnessed is unprecedented, till this day raids were carried out, communities being displaced and militias operate with impunity. Weapon procurement has become as easy as buying cigarettes, smuggling them into Nigeria is even easier with our porous borders. The wailing, twisting of facts and accusing Buhari of passing the buck is totally unnecessary, insincere and reeks of desperation. The same charlatans making the accusations now are the same people/party whose President decry about Libya's crisis and its direct contribution in destabilizing other countries. Amanpour: President Goodluck Jonathan thank you very much for joining me from Davos. Let me go straight to the heart of the matter, today on capital hills Hillary Clinton is testifying about Libya and about militantism in the region and she identified Boko haram as the biggest threat to one of the most important countries namely your own. Do you see Boko haram as a major existential threat to Nigeria right now? Gej: Definitely Boko haram if it is not contained it will be a threat not only to Nigeria but to west Africa, central Africa and of course to north Africa, because of course you know some elements of Boko haram link up with some of the Alqaedas operating in northern Mali and other north African countries. That is why the Nigerian govt is totally committed to work with other nationals, other friendly governments to make sure that we contain the problems in Mali. As you rightly said the issue of Libya try to create more problem in the sub region because when Gadhafi was dethroned and number of fighters looted weapons, these weapons enter into the hands of non-state actors and they are being used for criminal activities It is pertinent to note that till Jonathan's defeat at the polls Boko haram still remains major existential threat to Nigeria, but because of its extensive attacks and incessant hostilities, banditry, rustling, militantism etc were eclipsed. Today the narrative have changed, Boko haram were degraded and incapacitated, they no longer have the ability to raid major towns or hoist flags and declare control over a territory, they no longer launch daring attacks on military formations and overran communities. Their last resort which is kidnapping and targeting soft targets keeps dwindling everyday. The monster which metamorphosized from ragtag insurgents to fully fledged army defeating the Nigerian army under Pdp is finally tamed. The worse form of violence this country suffered is during Pdp's rule because of incompetence and lack of leadership. As unfortunate as it is, the last Pdp president has denied that these vices confronting us today are as a result of bad leadership. Amanpour: Do you believe that Boko haram is just a security threat to you or as some others believe that it is also about resisting misrule and corruption and that there needs to be a different or additional way of dealing with it other than just military.? Gej: No no no, Boko haram is not as a result of misrule, definitely not, and sometimes people felt that it is as a result of poverty, definitely not, Boko haram is a local terror group. The Buhari they so love to hate has this to say in the same Gadhafi comment. "The problem is not religious, but sociological and economic. But we are working on solutions." That's right, he is addressing issues of banditry, rustling, militantism, terrorism e.t.c, giving maximum priority, tact and employing viable and effective ways for lasting solutions. His offense is defeating hordes of thieves at the polls, and revamping an economy and people they impoverish, to stage a comeback these thieves are now using every means no matter how ridiculous to blackmail and smear in a futile attempt of discrediting him. Buhari will succeed Insha Allah, no evil fashioned/wished against Nigeria by any pilfering vagabond will prosper. |

JikanBaura:Yeah they do that in a lot of their festivities and sometimes just for show, for money in markets mostly. Gaskiya abin da mugunta, sufa bama bulala qarama suke amfani da ita ba, sanda danye suke samu. Just the thought of being at the receiving end will make you pee. |
IF THAT YORUBA BOY IDRISS AJIMOBI GOT FLOGGED WELL, HE WOULD HAVE BEHAVED HIMSELF AROUND FATIMA GANDUJE IN PUBLIC FUNCTIONS |
Baaballiyo:The Takari/Takarawa i was referring to were indigenous Hausa speakers with roots mainly from Katsina, Zamfara, Sokoto and Kebbi. They got the name from other Hausa speakers because of the different dialect they use. I think the Takari i was referencing and Takarir are entirely different terminologies. The Arab uses Takarir for non Arab settlers while the Hausa uses Takari for fellow Hausas from states i listed above. |
@baaballiyo So Takari is of Arab origin? Any correlation with the Hausa speakers called Takari [takarawa(plural), batakare(singular male)] by fellow Hausas because their dialect is different and heavy? Example: Sheikh Giro (Takari), Kabiru Gombe (Hausa) |

sarrki:What is good for the gander... Stop making the mistake of hasty judgement before hearing from both sides. |
NollywoodFreak:Read what is in the link. There is no mention of fulani nationality movement. |
CHUKWUNOLOGICAL:Oh I forgot, he says god talked to him in the video. Sorry man. This phony has been taking a dump in your brain. |
Who is "Fulani nationality movement"? A simple google search with quotes ("fulani nationality movement" ) display results that are not upto three pages. All results are from 2 days ago. Not a single reputable media outlet reported this communique. All reports are being carried by bloggers (copy & paste) and facebook groups (bigots & secessionists). What is the purpose of Oyedepo's message.?

sarrki:Stop circumlocuting and posting false info. The chairman is John yep. Does John sound like Fulani/Muslim to you? You brought religion in the first place by mentioning Benue people are christians that voted Buhari. And went on to allege Buhari has not done enough for these christians. My reference to the slained Muslim Fulani of Taraba is just to remind you that no tribe or religion is exempted from this country's senseless killings. When you emphasize that Benue Tivs are christians you are directly towing the path of crisis merchants whose main tool of division is flaming ethnic/religious tensions. Buhari has done well in handling Benue crisis. Your claim is not true. |
billyG:El-Rufai made it loud and clear there wont be sacred cows. The law is supreme, there is going to be repercussion for impunity. |
sarrki:The Taraba killing is a coordinated attack orchestrated by a LG chairman and Local militia targetting Fulani settlements. The LG chairman has not only arm the terrorists but also instigate the attacks on a radio station. It is pity you are accusing the victims of perpetrating the crime. |
sarrki:Support & defend satan if you like. This doesn't change the fact that your earlier assertion that PMB is insensitive to Benue situation is wrong. |
Thanks Op for this timely update. The earlier thread draw even the most nauseating bigots to put on a charade about their love & sympathy for Benue people to revitalize their calumnous campaign against Buhari. If it were upto them, Benue must be burnt by Herdsmen. The no substance oppossition they are playing is fading away and this crisis seems to be their current resort to get back at Buhari, the man that relieve Nigeria from their nepotists, larcernoust and inept grip. The FG is handling this situation with the utmost priority it deserves, we all hope the best resolution is reached to salvage the situation very soon. RIP to the dead |
