advanceDNA: Oyinbo lecturer will never ever write recommendation letter for u without knowing you....
nigerian graduates/academics get recommendation from. overseas lecturers through peer review of papers, joining their research groups, co-authorimg papers that doesnt involve wet work...since u wont be there to gather data from lab or feild work
. u can start by sending emails of ur papers that they should review it...if its good work, they will gladly accept cos their name will be on it adding to their portfoloio of papers...
After a while, u cn ask for opportunity to co-auto or review papers as well.... that way they will get to know u and recommend u...
If u no get papers and are not actively interested in academic research...oga ade, e go hard oooooo @advanceDNA Please admit me into your school of Consulting. You be guru! |

macdessy: Work reference letter stating the start date of the job and how long she has been working there.
In the letter, her job roles was stated like experience personal care, medication administration, etc Google can help
And she already has the reference letter since January,it was one of the requirements before she was issued COS.
So the date on the reference letter showed January, not February that they requested for additional documents.
Qualification Florence care training certificate she did since October 2022, it is valid for one year. She submitted about 20 CPD training in one pdf attachment.
She did not answer the question of recruitment verbally.
She submitted the letter of interview invitation on the care home company letter head. The letter answers the questions too. It was sign by the company HR.
Like Thank you for showing interest on the job role advertised on...........(CV library, indeed, total jobs) depends on where it was advertised.
I would like to invite you for interview on .........
Some email correspondence between the employer and her self. This is very helpful and serves as guide to future applicants. Thank you so much for being selfless. |

dizney07: Please who register for new passport of recent in sagamu? What is your date of capturing I want to know which month they are now for appointment booking.
Thanks By my calculation, appointment date has gotten to January 2023. If it is urgent, try Oshogbo or Ibadan. They have closer dates when compared to Sagamu which is usually like two months ahead. |

Uzland: HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF THIS THREAD!✨❤️✨
This thread was started one year and two days ago on 11/09/2021.
About a year ago, there was no thread specifically dedicated to these two unique UK visa routes. Consequently, the vision of this thread was borne - to provide an avenue for you and for me to help each other achieve our common dream of a better tomorrow.
Over this past year, we've witnessed a lot of both good and bad events - from the introduction of new policies to employer apathy towards overseas candidates, apparently.
Some of us have succeeded and moved on; others peep in anonymously and leave, while just a few, even though they've succeeded, still take the time to check up on everyone here and drop helpful tips for us all. You and I may not realize what that little piece of advice, information or caution that we drop here means in the life of the next person.
I ❤️celebrate with all who've succeeded in reaching their desired destination on this journey. And those who're yet to succeed, I join my faith with yours hopeful that you shall be the next to be celebrated...✨❤️✨ Amen to the prayers. You have been a blessing with this great thread. I commend this Initiative by you and all. |

Ponytail22: Good day everyone, Who has successfully changed their IELTS- UKVI General training from computer-based to paper-based? I am asking because there's no close date for the paper-based until November. Can I book computer-based and change it to paper-based? Will I be allowed to write it that same day I chose the computer-based?
Please help! Is there any advantage when it come to the paper based? Please educate me. Thanks |

soulmate19: Good Afternoon Pls which is advisable to do, register and make payment online or use someone? And if one is doing DIY, how many weeks can one go for capturing? And how long will it take for the passport to be ready after capturing? Biko I need responses Thanks It all depends on your location, the time you have in your hand and your person. If you can spare some time, I will recommend the DIY. According to Immigration sources, It takes 6 weeks after capture for your passport to be ready (32 pages), 64 pages may be faster. In DIY, you must tick all dots in order to get your passport on on schedule. Remember you get your appointment date once you complete your online application on https://portal.immigration.gov.ng/. But if you do not have all the time, seek help. |

Family › Re: Out Of Rage, I Hit My Mum Yesterday! by AABGrace(m): 5:31pm On Mar 24, 2022 |
Moz22: Actually typing this with a heavy heart and so much disgust for what I've done.. wish I had handled the situation better.
My father is the best man I could ever wish for and if I had another chance to pick a dad again in my next life, I'll pick a richer version of him but my mom?? Sigh!
However growing up with them was so stressful in every way u can think of.. my dad was the meek type, soft spoken and slow to react but my mom would always complain about everything, she fights everything and everyone.. never afraid of any form of confrontation, she would complain about my hairstyle, she would check if I sagged my trousers.. she monitored me extremely and always nagged about it.. I'm this typa guy who is well cultured, I wouldn't say I got that from home training tho cos I do not drink, smoke nor womanize... And I think it's d joy of every parent to have child like me, I basically had no friends visiting me then and even up till now. I've got trust issues that's why I don't keep friends.. my mom made my youthful days hell for me, I didn't really enjoy it.. times I spent with her were miserable as she would shout everyday, quarrel even over phone conversations that you would think the person she's fighting with was right in front of her.. and some times I even pity my dad whenever she starts with him. I developed some sorta hatred for her
Lately I've been spending more time with them cos of our last born just so I could keep an eye on him and we stayed close too.. and the way she treats him makes me wonder if she was the one gave birth to him, if I was away when she was pregnant for him and delivered.. I would have argued that she was his mother. There were times that I had to pass the night there and her voice or rants would be what will wake me up very early in the morning just as it used to be when I used to be there...
I used to think that as people grow old, they become calmer but that isn't the case with my mom, she's more violent... She lost her twin sis last year March and I sincerely hoped that would change atleast but iro nio... Her other sisters aren't even speaking to her at the moment. My dad was a musician.. old age won't allow him continue doing music, coincidentally I picked up that barton.. been doing the same music(live musician) all my life but my mom has always been against it.. she was never happy whenever I carry my dad's guitar to rehearse or whenever I bring a piano home.. it was always war...
Been there since last weekend cos of the poor electricity in my area.. we have had power for about 7 days now.. Had gone for a studio session, only to return in d evening and I was greeted with shouting over a very trivial issue, I was so angry that I responded to every of her verbal insults.. and then she hit me and I reciprocated which I felt so bad about almost immediately.. she dragged me by my clothes shouting that I must kill her again, by that time.. my anger had subdued and all I had on my mind was to leave the house immediately. She threatened to arrest me.. She tore my shirt and I managed to pull away from her.. and left without picking my stuffs. All my life, I have never raised up my hands to hit a woman talkless of my mom.. I don't even beat kids when they do wrong, I hate to see tears..
I know it's a disgraceful thing to do. I've got no excuse for what I've done whatsoever. I even avoid confrontations with my own gender sef cos I know what I'm capable of. I'm always quick to say the word sorry just to avoid prolonged issues. I had been offline since it happened, just came here to drop this and I know how much insults I'm gonna get here anyway but we learn everyday and will surely pick the ones that will make me a better person.. no one's perfect
Pls ignore my typo errors abeg Firstly, you need to apologise to your mum and promise yourself never to let such happen again. Your action is not a good one and can never be justified. Be that as it may, you must work on your temper and emotions, learn anger management. Stop smoking, substance abuse and Alcohol intake if you do. |

RennyKitty: To others who are hoping to get Sponsored jobs too. Please let me share a few tips that might help. 1. Download the CV app and register duly and make every experience be it internship or volunteer jobs count. Also be very sure of the referees you will be using for your CV cos they will be contacted before you can be issued your offer letter when you eventually get the job. Also I would advise that you download a sample CV in your job field and follow the templates. Your CV matters a lot and is almost like the master key that will unlock every other doors Of your career progression. 2. After you have successfully built a good CV, good on Apps like Indeed, TotalJobs, Glassdoor and NHS websites and register. Then upload your CV. Some of these websites have assessments that you would be needing to complete and indeed even gives the option to write a cover letter. That’s like a golden opportunity to sell yourself. Please do notices that. 3. Now in order to avoid applying to multiple job openings that you are qualified for but can’t get because they don’t have Tier 2 sponsorship license. You can go to Gov.uk and check the lengthy list of licensed sponsors. Write the employers that fit in your field then go back to Indeed and the other apps and just input the names. It will for sure bring out available job openings and you start sending in your applications. 4. In my case I made it a point of duty at a point to apply to 10jobs in a day. Yes it was stressful and at some point I gave up and trust me that was when I got the call. Matter of fact I I did 2 interviews in one day and got the both jobs. At some point i felt I was wasting time and it seemed almost impossible considering my level of education and all even my sister told me to give up but God showed up. 5. While waiting you can get your Naric assessments ready as it lasts for a lifetime and you would need it for English proficiency or better still do IELTS exams. To avoid any form of delay after getting your CoS You can also do your TB tests as people are finding it so difficult to book test dates and the result is Valid for just 6 months And of course except you lose focus you would have gotten a headway around the Job issue before the expiration. The only problem here is just that you would be needing a UK address while filling the form. You will also be needing a police certificate but you can easily get that at Alagbon and you can’t apply for it pre employment because it is only valid for 3 months and 6. lastly and most importantly get your funds ready. A lot of these employers are not ready to pay for anything. They even see the CoS as a huge favor which sadly is in this part of the world. So you need to get your funds ready CoS agencies are “bombarding” them with applications but I think they just stretch out to select random applications here and there. So once they see you are dragging your matter, they move on to the next eligible candidate. Let opportunities meet you prepared at all times. Especially since it’s Japa season and everyone is looking for a way to legitimately escape this Buhari’s wahala and secret achievements Please I’m open to more hindsights as I still have a lot of people who want to try this visa route too. God will see us all through

This is apt, informative and affirmative. I will give it a go |
