CanadianNurse: Thanks. To all Visa applicants here, please start looking for ways to pay your first year academic tuition fees or have the money liquid and available. Reasons: I have noticed CIC is now requesting for payment of tuition fees before approving visa. Again, I noticed this request comes before getting TRV. They started this with Feb applicants and that was when CBN made significant changes to their Forex policy. **my own opinion pls |

Good Afternoon people. I will be submitting visa application for MBA at UNB this week. I wouldn't know if anyone can advice me on the best way to calculate funds. I have got little information about using Oanda and XE but its like the two websites gives different conversion rate which is significant. Can anyone advise me on the most reliable website of the two. Thanks |

taiwo92: Dear Taiwo. Please don't put yourself under unnecessary pressure. You can make your application fee using Access or Gtbank naira card. Choose another country code while putting your card details. You can use Niger since Nigeria is not listed. It will work. |

michV: Yes. It was 305 as at last week. The issue is that at a point, getting Form A was like getting Canadian visa. Some applications were delayed for like a year and forex was not available in the Market and you need divine connection to get one. Now making it 375 comes with increased forex supply from CBN for form A purpose. |
Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by AAOL: 1:03pm On Feb 19, 2017 |
It means all form A applications will go for 375. The advantage is that form A will be available with reduced processing time. The disadvantage is that we will need to prove 20% more available funds for visa purpose. The new development affects both form A and PTA and strictly for university admissions. |

sheddybaba1: Hello. I think I have an idea of why u were refused the second time despite perfect course and related work experience. The major issue with your application is still insufficient fund. Try and pay a little of your fees to show commitment and express yourself well in your SOP. Once you are denied of insuffifient funds, it is advisable to pay little of your fees in your next application. NB: This is my own opinion which is based on a similar case I know about. Please disregard if you find better advise. 1 Like |

laboratory test?.. I think its medicals u wanted saying. Most times it takes like a month or u can even be called next week. It depends on how you package your application. |

Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by AAOL: 3:32pm On Feb 01, 2017 |
Hello Khloepatra3, please go ahead with your application and never state that you have overstayed in Philippine before. Haba, how on earth will they know about your situation. If its us or any of these european countries, then u must explain yourself in a well detailed SOP. I believe reporting yourself to those VOs will automatically lead to a refusal ( if its masters, u have a chance but no show if its PGD). |

@ Maxicon, we have the same profile and sorry to say that u may not be able to get an approval even after applying for Visa more than 5times. Please for God sake drop dat PGD thing and look out for masters. PM me and let me give u a token. They will forever continue to frustrate you with a PGD even if u apply in jerusalem. All the best bro. |

Thanks Megziflips. I must say you are just too much. I have settled for an MBA program. They waived GMAT for me. To avoid any heartbreak from visa officer, I already have plan B as express entry. To everyone with a masters degree or 2 or more post secondary credentials on this thread, please try direct PR. CRS score is falling every 2wks and now now 453. U guys shouldnt put one head in a basket. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Hi Ifydio.. I understand your point. We are in the same boat with leakingbasket. I noticed that VOs give priority to the level of education and even the length of period of study i.e Masters then PGD (2yrs) then PGC (1yr). The worst is that even PGD get priority over PGC. Let me give you an example. When I applied for Visa on October 13, Masters applicants that applied 2 weeks after me got called for medicals and even the guy that applied November is in Canada now. The Visa Officer kept PGC applicants for July, August, and September till Dec 30 and 31 fixed as Judgement day which is still refusal. Accra Visa officers in general are not happy with PGC applicants. Sometimes it's advisable to go through online cos it's like Online favours few PGC with good application. Now if you check through this thread for the whole of 2016, you will notice that only 2 PGC (not PGD) applicants were successful through Paper route. Can you imagine?. What most people with high CGPA do nowadays is apply for masters, prove that you can pay for fees and all other expenses and when you get to Canada you can change to PGD. My sister, we are in this alone. I know I have applied for Visa with PGC and won't give up. Meanwhile, a nice fellow here PMed me and suggested an MBA program that is even half of my full tuition for PGC. Please let's join hands and pray as we remain hopeful. Believe me, God answers prayers. 3 Likes |

Hello guys. Please is anyone still waiting for trv for winter here?.. I applied through Paper Route on Oct 13 but no response till now. Its like this PGC isn't Worth it. With all sincerity, I applied for this PGC thing cos of low tuition and my interest in that particular course. Please guys I will advise that if your CGPA is good for masters, please go for it and ignore the big tuition for now cos there is always a way around finances. with PGC/D, there are chances that Visa Officer will frustrate your life for 3 to 6 months, refuse you and give you false hope in your next applications (Exemption dey for the redeemed and believers). Now, let me migrate and join the pool of masters applicants as I ask for guidance from you guys. I graduated with a CGPA of 4.13, BSc Accounting and from the information I gathered, the closest master program I can go for is either MBA or Masters in Management which requires GMAT. Please can anyone here assist me with any relevant information about any MBA or MSC Management program that does not require GMAT. To be sincere, I don't have the time and funds to waste on GMAT now. Any advice on scholarship and relevant information on MBA and MSC management will be appreciated. Now let me go back to my prayer and fasting arena as I await for a favorable response from these Accra Visa Officers. Also, I am daring dat Visa Officer to send me any rejection mail cos my case is different. It doesn't matter if am going for PGC, PGD, Masters or MBA, I can never be rejected!. 3 Likes |

Hi munezsanti. I am not a lawyer but I feel your case is somehow different from wasiu's case. WASIU indicated that he was not refused USA visa whereas you left the space blank on your form. U can claim innocent misrepresentation here and hence no strict penalty. @wasiu, kindly respond to this issue with all seriousness and take it like its a big chance to prove your integrity. All the best |
