Jibola10: I really do not know if this would change anything or my advise came late, based on what you said you have been denied 3 times this year already, scheduling another interview for spring 2019 is like rush and desperation to me, you should have defer your admission, don't make the job of the vo easy by increasing your denial prospect. it's just my opinion though Thank you. I appreciate this. You are very correct from the experience point view. There is one thing I believe when trying, it’s either I fail or I succeed. I know the reason for my previous denial and I want to tackle it. I believe it will end in praise. Nothing is impossible with God, I am not desperate. This will be my last attempt and it will end in praise. My time will not pass me. God’s will will be done. |

Good day house, I have been able to retrieve my account from the agent care. I have also scheduled an appointment to 7th of January with my previous ds160 confirmation number. My challenge now is how can I print my ds160 document? I have already scheduled appointment but I have not printed the DS160 page that will carry my passport photograph.
I was previously denied 11th of December and I will not be making any changes to my DS160 form as the details filled there are correct |

alexohams2000: Hello friends, please, my school resumes 9th of January and the closest available date is 7th of January which I have chosen.
1. I want to write to the school to request for a latter allowing me to resume on a later date. Please what's the latest date permissible for resumption/entering the US without having issues at the POE. I intend to request the school allows me to resume like 16th (that's a week after normal semester start date). Hope this won't give issues at the POE. Meanwhile, I am steadily refreshing the site to see if any good Samaritan cancels his/her appointment so I jump at it.
Your advice please! Can I PM you? We are having the same issue but I need some clarification from you because I see you are more information |

Enasdan: good morning house, how safe is this statement,
me: how much is your tuition for your first year? me: $22,000 Vo:who is paying for your education? me: my aunt, my mother elder sister vo: who will pay for your second year? me: my school New England university, do grant graduate internship assistance for all international student in the second year, I will be granted graduate internship assistance in my second with support from my aunt in Nigeria.
please kindly scrutinize and make necessary corrections and suggestions. thanks That statement looks somehow. You can talk about your potential GA but I think you should dwell more on your financial capability of paying the fee even without the GA opportunity because you are yet to have it. Don’t give the impression that you are relying on it. Discuss more on what you have to sustain yourself for the second year. But if you have a letter to back up the claim that they will be give GA for your second year then you can state it that way. I hope this would help a little bit |

Ubah1: Sorry about the delay. You can easily get back your account by creating a new account with your own email. During the process, the system will detect your old account when you input your passport number and date of birth. You will be asked to upload your passport data page in order to claim ownership of the old account. Before 48 hours, old account will be moved to your new account after confirming your ID Done. Thank you for this |

I have few challenges that I want the house to help me on. I have fallen a prey of agent before knowing about this platform. This is my challenge, the agent that helped me to create my account did not realease the log in details. Though we filled the Ds160 form together but he refused to give me the log in details. I want to book another appointment ASAP and I want to leave him out the whole process because he has given my dad a wrong orientation that I should not reapply, that I should travel to Dubai or any other for me to have a travel experience before reapplying which I don’t buy. Is there away I can book another appointment and access my full details with my confirmation number. I feel positive about me reapplying |

Pls I need your suggestions urgently as I will be going for my interview soon. My uncle and my Aunty will be sponsoring my trip to the US but when I was filling my Ds160 the availabile space could not contain the two names so I filled my aunty.
1. Is it reasonable for me to tell the VO that my Aunty and my uncle will be responsible for my expenses over there even if I did not state my uncle’s name in the ds160 form? Note: my uncle’s account is his company’s account
2. What is the maximum period a statement of account should be? Is 29th of October not too late
Pardon my errors pls Please help respond to my case. |

slamcole: Good afternoon here. Visa approved today at the US consulate in Abuja this morning. Here's my transcript ME: Good morning ma'am (with a wry smile) VO: passport and 1-20 please.
VO: why USM ME: It is classified as a R1 institution by the Carnegie foundation. And the Biological Science department has a diverse approach to their graduate program where researches provide solutions to problems affecting one health
VO: number of schools applied to ME: 3. I named them.
VO: Why the choice of USM ME: Aside from the fact that I got a GA, there's also am ongoing research in the lab of Prof **** which is in line with my background as a veterinarian.(not sure I mentioned the scope of the research)
VO; Do you have a letter from the school indicating the funding offered. ME: YES. Gave it to her
VO: What similarities are there between your background as a vet and molecular biology ME: As a practicing Vet, an added Knowledge of molecular biology will not only help me better diagnose animal diseases but also develop preventive and curative approaches to the disease, with emphasis on zoonotic diseases.
VO: Plan after graduation ME: Upon completion of the MSC, I'll have acquired adequate research knowledge, and practical exposure as to enable me pick up a faculty position made available to best graduating students like me from my alma matter upon my return to Nigeria.
VO: Travelled out of the country before. ME: No I've had no reason to go out of Nigeria
VO: Do you have any relatives or siblings in the US ME: no I don't
VO: Congratulations, I'll be approving your visa
Things I ensured 1. I ensured I cleared my mind of the interview worried the previous day and assured myself it's not a do or die affair
2. I practiced multiple times in front of the mirror and also with individuals. As a fast speaker, I ensured I learnt the art of clearly stating my statements
3. Upon arrival at the venue, I interacted with people and get to know few.
4. As previously advised(dont know how true), applicants are been monitored upon entrance into the premises for appearance, posture and gestures that could make them look not confident or jittery. So I ensured I maintained a bossy outlook (even when I'm not), ensured my hands were at akimbo and also did not lower my gaze.
5. It's advised to find a way of putting one's strongest point very early in the interview process. As in my case, the VO did not even bother to check for any information on my 1-20 nor did she ask if I got funding until I made mention of it.
6. Lastly as it has been mentioned here, do not forget the GOD factor.
I hope this helps someone. Congratulations Can I pm you? |
