PoliticsRe: NASS Blockade: Sign Of Good Omen- Gumi by abacus(m): 12:16pm On Nov 21, 2014
thegreatman4ww:
Their Salvation rally or whatsoever NEVER obstruct nor hinder the Police to carry out their lawful duties but Police action does that to the Parliament. While the jumping of the fence do not befit the HoR members but they are left with no option than to jump over. Note that they have the prior knowledge that Tambuwal will be impeached (as planned in Ekiti, that is why all the 19 APC lawmakers were not in the state yesterday because of fear of unknow by the Nigeria Force).
The IGP said the Police acted on report that thugs will be invading the chambers, they allow PDP members in, stop APC members including the known person of Tambuwal as the status quo Speaker. As a political analyst, the Presidency writing Tambuwal on extension of emergency rule was to lure him into recovening the House (because it has now drawn on them that only Tambuwal can reconvene the House). The writting of Tambuwal by Presidency is signalling that the Presidency is recognising Tambuwal as the Speaker but unfortunately the President, PDP and IGP are playing different script.

The script was to allow the house recovene by Tambuwal, block him and other APC members has they can get the required number of quorum to sit, move motion to impeached Tambuwal, and Tambuwal will be impeached even without 2/3 majority and the President like Fayose will congratulate the new Speaker as Jonathan is still not recognising Ameachi with 19 votes against 16. That is why these APC lawmakers (in my own opinion) go that extent....I think as far as we should not celebrate their action of jumping over the gate, we should also not comdened them for same action. Because if not that actions of them, news headline will have been similar to that of Ekiti since yesterday.

Let us all fight against impunity because today it is Tambuwal (a northerner) tomorrow it might be other ethnic group and remember that history has a way of repeating itself, if we can not all stand against this high level impunity and lawlessness by this current FG under Jonathan we may find ourselves to balme in the nearest future when the history will repeat itself in ten folds simultanously in defferent parts of the country.

Remarkable:
At times I wonder if this man is delusional.

How many times will you lose before you recognize that Nigerians don't want you as president?

I'd say buhari should go and die, but I think he should go and cry is more appropriate... ther is no way he can become president, I am sure of that.
I just quoted a failed mind. A man without zeal.. Please, don't die wretched, my guy.

PoliticsRe: External Reserve And Debt Under Obasanjo, Yaradua And Jonathan Administrations by abacus(m): 1:48pm On Nov 07, 2014
datolee:
So let me recap my point

1) External debt increased because we have more expenditure and revenue haven't kept the pace (still trying to find Nigeria's revenue history) plus the issue of theft of crude and output disruptions http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-10-31/nigeria-finance-ministry-says-revenue-gap-may-reach-12-billion.html

2) GEJ haven't done so bad with borrowing, infact, OBJ borrowed more than him

3) External reserve was deplated because SLS prefer defending the Naira with external reserve than devaluing the naira

I hope we will as usual, keep it a clean debate. Thanks
Are these part of the expenditure?

1. Two luxury bulletproof cars procured with public funds by the Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah.

2. Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, spent about N10billion on chartered private jets.

3. Contract to secure the waterways to former Niger Delta warlord Chief Government Ekpemupolo (a.k.a Tompolo) (http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/oil-theft-so-why-was-tompolo-paid-n15-billion-/151835/)

etc?

Now three things I must say here,

1. servicing loan is not the same thing as repayment of loans

2. Buhari did not make Nigeria a debt free country

3. By the end of 20 months regime, Nigeria's debt had increased from $15 billion to just under $18 billion
Now tell me using your church mind, Do you see it a good thing to service a loan rather than collecting more?

.. He maintained a vibrant foreign policy with Africa as its principal focus. Nigeria was already a failed state economically when he seized government from Shagari. We had a staggering foreign debt load of US$18 billion, so Buhari stopped all further borrowing, and in defiance of the IMF and World Bank, provided a home-grown alternative to the IMF’s SAP and pegged the exchange rate of the naira at one to the US$1.50. He stopped all further borrowing from abroad; instituted counter trade for essential or desperately needed commodities and put a ceiling (or an upper limit) on the amount of foreign exchange earnings to be used in servicing foreign debts. After sorting out and rejecting all the dubious and unverifiable foreign debts in our portfolio, he paid off nearly 50% of the genuine debts by the end of his regime in 1985.

We agree on the GDP per capita based on PPP and inflatIon. Thanks for that of the debt

First, I never said GMB operated surplus budget, except when you uplifted it fromm SR. Anyway, from my research, the Budget deficit under GMB was reuced by 21%, which implies 21% Growth in 1984. You should rather spell this out than shouting deficit deficit like it detoriated under him.

3.On Refinery.....
- they had the idea b4 GMB came to power in NNPC of building refinery

- It took a Buhari to implement the Idea and Signed the contract for both refineries under the leadership of Obj.

One Question:
Who built it? Who Signed it?
Thank you jare..

I also got this from SR.. This is also on Buhari

Take your evidence to DSS or SSS or nearest police station.

The truth of the matter is if you are not going to vote GMB, let him be don't lie against him. Since 2011, your principal GEJ has not made any arrest regards that killing, Ombatse (Eggon) massacre is there no justice talk less of BH. We can't afford to do it wrong again come 2015.

Why didn't Buhari console the families of the victims and also condemn the barbaric actions of the evil people that carried out the attack?
That should have cleared his name.
Now it's not about instigating the killing but not consoling the family?

Why blaming GMB for GEJ incompetence? Koo daa oooo!!!
