Emeka Ike now seems to be living out his life in courts. From the eviction court tussle with his landlord over the property on which his school was situated, to the battle for the presidency of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, and the far-from-over divorce mess his wife has dragged him into, there seems to be no end in sight with his romance with courts. When the news broke that his wife of over twelve years, Emma Ike, had filed a divorce suit against the actor on allegation of domestic violence, the actor was quick to squash it as mere rumour and insisted that his marriage is intact, claiming he had not received any divorce notice. I love my girlfriend, but she’s endlessly trying to discuss our relationship. We’ll go out for dinner and she starts analysing it, and wondering about our motives and what we want out of it and then picks over every little thing in detail. I am finding it exhausting, and also I’m not really interested. I just want to be with her and have a great time. I’ve tried to explain this but she says I’m just trying to avoid the ‘issues’. Do you think I’ve got my head in the sand? Sometimes I dread seeing her for fear one of these relationship dissections will start. Dearth of reading culture and absence of equipped libraries have been identified as the two causative agents in the rate of failure in WASSCE, NECO and JAMB among our youths. Mr Kolawole Oyeyemi, Founder, Ignite Africa Leadership Foundation who spoke while launching a world class Library at Ikeja said: “The reading culture is almost dead ; the libraries are either nonexistent or empty of relevant books.” Oyeyemi who pegged the rate of failure in WASSCE, NECO and JAMB at over 80 per cent, described the synario as a national embarrassment that only emphasis on reading culture. He posited, “If you give a child a book, he is going to star t reading. If a child starts reading, he is going to start thinking. If a child starts thinking, he is going to imagine. And if a child experiences the beauty of imagination, there is no telling how high he can soar!” He asked, “What does the future hold for a nation with a youthful population that is not interested in studying, and to whom the reading culture is unattractive.” Sustainable development He maintained that the consequences are at variance with sustainable development, adding, “this is where Ignite Africa comes in.” He averred that the NGO wants to turn up a crop of Nigerian who are intelligent to take the world, nothing that if you don’t read, you can’t lead. The launched library which is designed for primary, secondary and university students, according to him, will also serves as a research centre for undergraduates and professionals. Meanwhile, the Project Director, Winnie Aduayi disclosed that Ignite Africa currently has about 4500 books to serve students, while expecting 65,000 imported books. According to her, 90 percent of the Ignite Africa books come from the US, because it is cheaper, adding that the cost of similar books in Nigeria are relatively higher. She said: “Ignite Africa has impacted hundreds of school children across the Nation. “We have established over 50 book clubs and Book-To-Child connection groups across schools in Lagos State; Onelga region, Portharcourt, and Bonny Island in Rivers State. We provide these books free to them for reading.” Aduayi urged every person to register freely online www.ignitenigeria.org to enable them use the books and internet computers, stating that the library opens 8:30am – 4:30pm from Monday to Friday, while on Saturday, it opens 10am – 4:30pm. Why I prefer masturbation, says Justina I am in my late teens and have been masturbating now for months. I look forward to it all the time as it is better than messing up with men and catching AIDS. I have boyfriends of course and we kiss and cuddle at times, but I’ve never been penetrated as I come from a strict Catholic home. The problem now is that, I feel guilty whenever I masturbate in case I’ve damaged my hymen. See photo:http://www.abagram.com/2016/03/why-i-prefer-masturbation-says-justina.html |

My boyfriend is far too randy for me. He wants lots of hot sex every night, and he goes at it fast and furious. Sometimes we go on for hours and I end up sore and exhausted. It may sound like I’m the luckiest woman on earth, but too much of everything is bad and I’m getting bored and upset by it all— to the point where I don’t look forward to sex with him. How can I tell him I don’t want sex all the time? Reply Ramat, by clicking on the banner up and down. COMMENT and ADVICE.. Dear Ramat, The earlier you told him the truth the better for your relationship. It is not possible to keep doing something you don’t want. Your body and mind will eventually say no, plus he might only be doing it every night because he thinks you enjoy it. He may actually be forcing himself to go on for hours to keep you happy. In which case explaining how you feel will be a relief to him. So, reassure him that it is not the quality of the sex that puts you off, it is the quantity. It is not what he’s doing. It’s how often he does it. But tell him, you must. Comment and Advice:http://www.abagram.com/2016/03/what-should-i-do-my-boy-friend-wants.html |
