Due to the kind of clothes she likes to wear and is comfortable in, Baby Blanche has revealed in an interview with Showbiz that she hardly wears panties when she’s going out. “I love all kinds of lingerie that make a woman feminine because I’m a woman, but I hardly wear panties. This is not because I don’t want to wear them but because the clothes I love to wear wouldn’t permit me to,” she told Showbiz. “I try as much as possible to act as a lady and not to let my panty lines show just because I like to wear dresses that hug my figure. So if I wear clothes and the outline of my panty is glaring like that I don’t like it,” she explained. “Being a lady is not only about wearing make-up and Brazilian hair but also comprises the propriety of whatever you’re wearing,” says Baby Blanche. She adds that she does not worry much about thoughts that she may be sexually assaulted by unscrupulous men because she makes sure she doesn’t go to awkward places at awkward hours. A 39-year-old food vendor, Adejoke Omotosho, on Thursday told an Igando Customary in Lagos State that her husband’s girlfriend stole her underwear from their matrimonial home. Adejoke, the petitioner, also told the court that her husband, Musiliu Omotosho, was in the habit of bringing his lovers to their one-room apartment. The couple is blessed with four children. The petitioner sought for divorce of the union on the grounds of lack of care and infidelity. She said that she was the one responsible for the education of their children. “This is the fifth time that he will bring women into our house; on four occasions I had reported him to our families. “Most times in the past, they begged me to forgive him because of our children, which I did. “On this faithful day, my neighbours told me that I had a visitor, but I didn’t understand what they meant, only for me to catch my husband again with another woman in our room. “I told them that if they were not satisfied with the rounds of sex they had, they should go for more rounds,’’ she said. “Dibu must go. Dibu must never return to JAMB again. Dibu give me my result. I don’t want extra 40 marks, Dibu, give me my real result. Dibu, you cannot toy with our future, release my results. You are too old to lead the Board at 71.’’ Those were some of the words written on placards which hundreds of JAMB candidates carried on Tuesday at the State House of Assembly, Alausa, Lagos State. The frustrated JAMB candidates had gathered in a peaceful protest at Maryland around 8am and marched to the House of Assembly, chanting, ‘’Dibu must go.’’ The protesters said their choice of the House of Assembly as focal point, is to enable the law makers convey their plight to the federal government. At the protest which was monitored by Vanguard, candidates alleged that the JAMB registrar, Professor Dibu Ojerinde, had added and deducted scores of candidates at his discretion. Scores before the examination According to them, some candidates who sat for the examination on April 27 and 29 when JAMB was test running the system, had low scores which was later upgraded by adding 40 marks. They said that despite of the 40 marks, their scores were below 200. Some others complaints that the results they earlier received were withdrawn and replaced with another. While some others have not received their results till date. One of the protesters added; “He added 40 marks in the first week and deducted 100 marks in the following.” They also alleged that there were cases where some students received scores before writing the examination. Some candidates who sat for this year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, organised by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, have rejected their scores to the examination being sent to their phones, saying the results are beyond their expectations. Speaking to Vanguard Learning, some candidates said JAMB is intentionally tampering with and failing candidates. For Anuoluwapo Oni, “I wrote the exam on March 5 but my result was tampered with as another person’s result was sent to me and posted on the JAMB website. Please note that I am not the only one with this problem, and we need a platform to voice our complaints.” For Joy Ezeani, “2016 UTME candidates, especially those that took their exams on 8th to10th of March 2016, are pleading with JAMB officials to stop scoring us too low. The systems we used were not good as they were always tripping off and we would have to wait for the server to come up. That really wasted our time.” In the same vein, Femi Adeoti said “JAMB is intentionally failing candidates and most of my friends and classmates are negatively affected. If you do very well, JAMB will score you 36 or less. I am really pained because I am a distinction student from Yaba College of Technology, so I wonder how I can score 184 in ordinary UTME. Please help us get our messages across.” Calling for the scrapping of JAMB as its objectives have been compromised, 22 years old Umar Ali from Kano State, said this year’s examinations show that JAMB can’t....... You are an individual, totally unique in every way from the strands of hair on your head to the skin on your little toe. But despite all that, we are surprisingly easy to categorise, too. Psychologists have boxed our behaviours off into the Big Five personality traits. These describe how we perceive the world internally and how we interact with others. Building on research in the late 19th century, the Big Five is taken from a personality theory formulated by psychologists Robert McCrae and Paul Costa in 1990. These traits have been used by psychologists to categorise people, but also by businessness in order to manage a large number of peope effectively. Which one of the Big Five do you most identify with? 1) Conscientiousness This relates to your work ethic and organisational skills. Those with this trait plan ahead and aim high. They may also take a great interest in one topic, rather than a passing interest in many. In turn, those who do not score highly as conscientious consider this type of person as obsessive and stubborn. 2) Agreeableness Read:http://www.abagram.com/2016/03/there-are-five-personality-types-which.html |
One of Nigeria’s trendy pop singer, YemiAlade, has urged female artistes to take every challenge as an opportunity for them to triumph and excel. Alade expressed this thought in an interview in Lagos on Monday.yemi-alade- She, therefore, advised female artistes not to allow challenges to stop them achieving their lifetime dreams. “No woman is living on an island with only females; if being a feminist means I strongly believe that the girl child can do just as well as the male child, then call me a feminist. “But if that’s not it, then I’m not that. “I believe that there is that struggle for the females but I don’t believe that because of that struggle we should be sleeping at our posts. “I believe that every challenge and opportunity is for you to overcome; a challenge is not to stop you. “So when you see the challenge, you...... Legal luminaries have said that the resolutions passed by the Senate last week, reducing the cost of UTME form from N5,650 to N2,500 and the extension of results validity to three years are not binding on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB. Recall that the Senate had, on November 17, 2015, adopted a resolution and directed its Committee on Tertiary Institutions and TETFund to inquire into circumstances surrounding the new JAMB policy, including allegations of favouritism as well as review of JAMB admission. In that light, the Senate reacted to the Chairman, Senate Committee on Tertiary Institutions and TETFUND, Senator Binta Masi Garba’s submission and consideration on JAMB admission policies, by fixing N2,500 as fee payable to JAMB. Similarly, it has also extended the validity of JAMB results from one to three years while institution and course forms and all other incidental activities around the examination should be free. The new JAMB policy entails that a candidate will make a choice of one university, one polytechnic and one college of education and then sit for a computer based test (CBT) to gain admission into any tertiary institution in the country. Very good resolution Reacting to the development, parents and students say the resolution is a welcomed development that would save cost and hassles of sitting for the exams every year if one fails to gain admission into a university. A mother who has trained four children through school and is happy for other parents still training children, who wishes to be known as Mrs Duru said; “It is a very good resolution, it would save us the trouble of buying the form every year. It is not that we pray that they would not get admission but sometimes post UME does not favour them, the school might give them a course that they don’t like and they have to retake the exam. Now that the result will still be valid for three years, it means parents will not have to spend afresh, JAMB lesson, scratch card, etc. It going to help a lot because people that really want to train their children should not be made to suffer. Even though, by the grace of God, this is the last time I will patronise JAMB, it will help others. I have 4 children, the last one is taking this JAMB. Since I was not educated as I would have liked, in want my children to be well educated. I have bought JAMB form at least 12 times. I spent a lot of money, JAMB lesson and the rest. JAMB result form If it is not that they are using it to make money, they would have done it since. What is stopping the JAMB result form being valid for life like WAEC?” A student, Chiamaka Ikemefuna, who is yet to write the UTME, said the decision of the Senate is a welcomed idea as it will save parents a lot of money and bring relief to students. She said “This is a big relief to students and parents because it will save us, the students the stress of sitting for UTME every year, and it will also check the excessive profit made by JAMB.” Though Towolawi Babajide, a corps member currently serving in Osun State and teaches students preparing for UTME writing Jamb, supports the Senate’s decisions, he however cautioned JAMB to put its home in order so that the validity period would worth the wait. But despite these high expectations, some legal luminaries have said the resolution is not binding as the resolution is like an appeal since it has not been passed into law. Speaking on the legal perspective, Professor Itse Sagay said: “It is not binding because JAMB is an executive body. They cannot pass a resolution on such body, but can only give an advice. The resolution is like making a request. Only the Minister of Education, or the Council governing JAMB can take such decisions. The National Assembly is a legislative body. It is a different thing if they have passed a bill signed into law to that effect.” In the same vein, Mrs. Funke Adekoya (SAN) said: ‘’The resolutions by the Senate is not binding on JAMB. The House of Representatives are yet to make a law and not a resolution that is binding on JAMB. It is mere advice and it is not binding. If JAMB does not obey, there is no law that has been broken or breached. The resolution only indicates that the Senate is concerned about the high cost, but they have not made a law to back up their resolution.’’ Legislative procedure Also, Read more:http://www.abagram.com/2016/03/senate-resolutions-not-binding-on-jamb.html

I remember once going to see a film called The Tin Drum with my male partner, a film we both agreed was erotic and arousing. In a post-coital chat afterwards, it turned out that we had each found completely different scenes in the film to be a turn on. Our sex drive is a highly personal and quixotic thing, which ebbs and flows with life’s events. The fact that sex is.......
