The program was officially launched by the Hon. minister in company of the GEEP teams, state officials, in a colorful ceremony at DAURA. during the event,selected beneficiaries of the FarmerMoni, TraderMoni, and MarketMoni, were given a disbursement by the Hon. Minister in the market area of DAURA. also the sum of twenty thousand naira was given to some selected poor and vulnerable people in the area.

The event was graced by the market women, traders and farmers Associations, youths, NGOs, women groups, trade unions, traditional and religious leaders. earlier before the disbursement, the Hon. minister paid a courtesy visit to the palace of the emir of DAURA. his royal highness. ALH.UMAR FARUK UMAR. where she greet the area and brief him on the rational of the programme, and seek for his fatherly advise.
In his response the emir praise the federal government, on this laudable programme, and equally commends the hon minister on this giant stride to uplift the poor and empower the vulnerable people of the society. he also thank the minister for choosing DAURA for the official launching of this important programme.

Your Excellency, Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, today we are here to officially Roll-Out the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP 2.0) in Katsina State. A programme designed by President Muhammadu Buhari administration for vulnerable and low-income Nigerians who are involved in some sort of commercial activity/capacity but have never had the opportunity to access loans. It is meant to give priority to the most vulnerable in our society eg widows, youth, disabled and the displaced amongst others. GEEP is captured in three signature schemes namely the TraderMoni loan of N50,000, targeted towards uplifting under-privileged and marginalized youths BETWEEN THE AGES OF 18-40 years in Nigeria, MarketMoni an empowerment programme designed for under privileged and marginalized women in our society specifically targeted towards Female headed households e.g., Widows, divorcees amongst other vulnerable groups, then the FarmerMoni loan scheme which is equally designed to provide agricultural inputs worth up to a maximum of N300,000 to rural farmers.
The GEEP has been restructured to have a top-bottom representation from the Federal, State and Local Government levels respectively. In the first phase of GEEP programme about 1,142,783 potential beneficiaries where registered by the COMO'S across the 774 LGAs in Nigeria out of which 59, 161 potential beneficiaries were registered in Katsina State across the 34 LGAs of after which verification was done about 13,000 beneficiaries were selected. These selected beneficiaries are currently under-going enumeration and today I have gracefully come to Roll-Out the programme in the “Home of Hospitality” Katsina State. Hence, successful beneficiaries of the GEEP proagramme will start receiving credit alert from Access bank today In Shaa Allah.
Lastly, the Ministry shall soon commence the second phase of GEEP registration and official date will be communicated soon, whereby more vulnerable groups will be captured for the purpose of uplifting them out of abject poverty and to reduce unemployment in the society.

Your next stage is the physical verification exercise, which will be done at your training centre, keep checking your nasims portal both under the verification page and deployment page for updates those are the two areas you should be checking now on your NASIMS portal and always scroll down when you are on any of the above pages.

Please when will someone expect deployment wast immediately after verification
