So your proof is a book written in 1885 that just repeats the same thing but in different wording over and over? I mean, this book is so outdated that it still considers earth a perfect sphere I suggest you "wake up out of your slumber" and stop basing your "facts" on religion. Flat Earth is a scientific movement, not a religious one. |
ivoryhouse:So...the Koenigsegg agera is also a muscle car then? Cause it has a big v8 engine and nice exhaust note. Same for the modern Corvette too? or the Dodge ram and F-150 pick up trucks? A muscle car has to be a coupe. Not every fast car from America is a "muscle car" |
ivoryhouse:Well, for starters it has 4 doors, a luxurious interior, and weighs over 5000lbs. It also costs $90,000. Not very "muscular" to me. But VERY much more like a luxury car. Take the m5 competition,a popular luxury car.... 617hp, 5000lb weight, luxury interior. Also expensive. Only thing different is that it's AWD. Muscle cars aren't supposed to be expensive and luxurious. At least back then. They're meant to be affordable and powerful, with ok comforts,or none at all. |
ivoryhouse:The CTS is a luxury car Equus is a "gentleman's" muscle car....like the classic Chevy Monte Carlo GT350 and Camaro are full blown sports cars Mustang fastback? debatable. Only the challenger fits the bill. The charger was a family sedan, but it's starting to come up. This is what I'm saying. These cars have evolved into different things. Most of them aren't muscle cars anymore.....even though their ancestors were. |
EgunMogaji2:Believe me, they exist. Right up there with the "Bugatti muscle car" guys. |
timifakay:It costs around 500,000$ Plus it's rare.....and comes with 425hp ![]() If you can afford it, no problem. You can also check out the 72 Chevy Monte Carlo (looks kind of like a 71-74 Chevelle) or the 325 hp El camino "muscle truck", also resembling a truck version of the chevelle. Monte Carlo ss for avg. 28k (dollars) El camino for 18k( which is a VERY good bargain IMO) Top pic Camino... Bottom pick Monte

timifakay:It's harder to get a classic (they are also usually more expensive) but if you like something newer, The modern ones are relatively easy to buy from my understanding |
HeavenlyBang:I got the names mixed up. Swap the 500 for 350 |
EgunMogaji2:I thought the Evo and m3 are referred to as, "tuners" Plus there are people that call AMGs muscle cars. Thus, the essence of this thread |
doggedfighter:It's more of an excuse to post pictures of my favourite muscle cars than anything else ![]() |
NaijadrivaCars:It's more of it's styling than anything else. It was styled pretty aggressively for it's time. Hence, the nickname, "muscle". Also, 80% of Nigerians have no idea what a muscle car is anyway. ![]() |
And modern....

Classic....
|
HeavenlyBang:I think the challenger is the most "muscular" car we have now. I personally don't consider the gt500 a muscle car, it's more "sporty" The gt350, maybe. But the Camaros? nah. Their 'evolution' is complete ![]() |
I think you should make money and buy one first, because na lack of money dey make person feel too important or sage untop unnecessary details. So if I buy a bicycle and call it a muscle car, does it make it one? This was written solely for education. I'm not trying to make anyone not buy what they want. The fact is Ford, GM and Chrysler release these cars nowadays as different vehicles, bearing the same name's as their ancestors. I wrote this to let people know what is what, as nowadays even Lamborghinis are referred to as, "muscle cars" by some people. These are the people I'm reaching out to. If you think I'm trying to shove dirt on the modern pony cars, you're very wrong (I love the modern challenger). And I don't recall EVER saying anything remotely close to, "This car is sh*t!!!" So next time, learn to read before barging in. |
More pics coming. Feel free to comment your opinion |

Some examples of the true muscle cars
|
I noticed a lot of Nigerians, and people in general don't know what s muscle car is. A muscle car is a front engine, 2 doored, rear wheel drive coupe manufactured between 1964-1975. Note this. This means what we commonly refer to today as 'muscle cars' are actually totally different vehicles. Chevrolet camaro.: One of the most popular muscle cars ever, the Camaro was revived in 2008, but as a SPORTS car. With turbochargers, excellent handling sleek, sporty lines and a beautiful interior, it has all the makings of a typical luxury coupe. The fact it bears similar name's as it's ancestors means nothing. Dodge charger and challenger: The modern day dodges are about the closest thing to a real muscle car one can find nowadays. Sporting large v8s and bold muscular looks( in the case of the challenger) they try to carry on the legacy of their forefathers. Although the charger is now a 4 door family sedan, rather than the menacing beast it was in the 60s and 70s. Ford mustang: Much like the Camaro, the modern day mustang has evolved into a sports coupe. With excellent handling and a redesigned and "sportier" exterior, it has all the looks and charm and performance of a modern day exotic, rather than a straight-line monster. In short..... Muscle cars are dead. Gone. Finito. What we have now are evolved versions of the classics. The last "muscle car" was probably the Pontiac firebird trans-sm in 1978, although it didn't check all the boxes either. Emission laws and the oil embargo pulled the plug on muscle cars. The modern day versions sometimes sport a v6, or a turbo-4 and in some extreme cases; an electric motor. Not very "muscular", but a lot more "sporty". Turbochargers are a supercar thing. The line between supercar and muscle car is blurring by the minute. If we begin to call anything that isn't a Volvo a "muscle car", we are only disrespecting the legacy the classics left behind for us. |
Very good example of a ship visible over the horizon due to refraction. As you see, the ship is actually dipping beneath the horizon, but due to refraction, it appears stationery. The logo on its side exposes how refraction nearly doubles the hull to make it appear normal. This is best observed when the water is warmer than the air. But of course, flat brains wont try it. Insyead they'll cherrypick temperatures and humidity in which their bullshite experiments could come out unscathed. This is the biggest problem of flat earth society: Wrongly carried out experiments.

budaatum:You ehn.... ![]() |
betterpikinn:Come on, the Bible didn't say earth is flat or the moon has its own light na... That's conspiracy theorist bull...droppings ![]() |
EMILO2STAY:You want to carry out the experiment? Fine. Take your beloved P900, the god of cameras, able to zoom in on literally anything, capable of detecting covid-19 in the air, Able to detect red blood cells through human skin;........ And take a picture of NECOM house in Lagos from obudu cattle ranch in Calabar. Plus, there's a laser reflector on the moon anyone can use to measure distance. |
EMILO2STAY:Wait wait....so now you want to claim that you gave me a question and I ran away? "till this day I haven't seen him" be honest here, which of us is the one dodging questions?I have answered you several times; you haven't answered me ONCE (unless you count your pathetic attempt at copying and pasting that other guy's write up as an answer ) and now you want to use me to lie? Ok, let me explain for the HUNDRETH time: earth is indeed curved approx 8.5"(a bit longer than a 15cm math set ruler) per mile. Now to someone who skipped maths class like you, that seems like a HUUUUUUGE curve, and should be noticeable just by glancing at it. Now, picture this: a mile=around 12 football fields end on end. TWELVE! so, that means the tip of the first field should be 8.5" higher than the end of the12th field. Do you see how tiny a difference it makes? But noooooo, you want the earth to curve like an orange under your feet. Now, if the sun was just above our heads, where do the other planets get their sunlight from? And their seasons? Why does the sun dip beneath the horizon at sunset if it's circles above our heads? Or are sunsets another NASA lie? And it takes sun light 8.5(would you look at that) minutes to reach earth. Doing the math, That equals around 90million kilometers. Also explain how particles from outer space penetrate the "dome" that a nuke allegedly couldn't destroy to react with Earth's magnetic field to make aurora borealis Explain how volcanos get their lava if earth is a pancake Explain how meteorites reach earth Explain how satellite phones work in the middle of the ocean Explain how someone standing in Antarctica can't see Polaris. Explain why I can't zoom a telescope to the South and see the 'ice wall'. I understand Telescopes are more powerful than the "almighty P900" and if earth is flat, no curvature to stop me. Explain how flying round the world in a straight line works And for Pete's sake, EXPLAIN HOW ECLIPSES WORK ON A FLAT EARTH |
Horlufemi:Sir, this man's brain must be in the workshop getting repaired. If I were you, I'd leave him to enjoy his stupid illusions. Show him scientific evidence and he resorts to dodging them like they were bullets. Arguing with this man puts you at risk of lowering your IQ ![]() |
EMILO2STAY:Ummm.... Ok!! Nice comeback ![]() If believing in tried, tested and proven information makes me "ignorant".... Then I'm the biggest ignoramus on our spherical earth ![]() |
