Have u ever tried this?
Nope...it was a suggestion/ assumption... What's the worst that can happen if it's wrong? It'll flag an error right?

So, no harm in trying i reckon.

You may have to visit BC as regards this... I'm assuming you've paid, but if you haven't, you can quickly redo before it's filled up for your preferred date. (If it isn't already)
I'm not so sure if it can be rectified, but it's worth a shot.

I haven't paid yet.

Sorry the exam is on the 6th of January
Oh!! smiley Just re-initiate the registration. It's less complicated that way. Disregard the earlier one done.

Hello house,
Please I urgently need your advice. When registering for my wife's ielts, I inadvertently uploaded her passport photo in the place holder for International Passport. I have submitted the application and gotten confirmatory email already. It just just occurred to me not quite long. Please is it possible to edit or can I cancel and register afresh as I have searched the BC site for where that can be done without results.

Proposed test date is January 2nd 2018.

Please I need suggestions and it's very urgent.

Thanking you in advance.

Pls to the Covenant University seniors in the house, how long does it take for them to verify transcript after WES requests verification
Verification is usually within 24-48 hours baring any unforeseen circumstances...but dependent on when copy of the verification request is received. Note that WES sends the request via hard mail which takes a week or more to get delivered, while verification is sent via soft mail.

So, what options are open?
you may be able to come to Canada as a provincial nominee (all skill types/levels),
you may be able to come to Canada through the Atlantic Immigration Pilot (skill type/level 0, A, B, or C), or
you may be able to work here for up to two years.

hey guys,

Pls i have a little challenge, my passport expires in january 2018. i have gone through the process of getting a new one. the new one was meant to come out this week but an insider told me that they are out of materials, hence the delay. I also have a strong feeling cut off mark for the next draw is gonna drop considerably.
my question is, can i use details of the passport that is to expire in january pending the time i get the new one?
Will i be able to edit the details of the old passport and change to the new one when i eventually get ITA?
From cic site, "If your passport expires within six months from the day you apply, you should renew it. Then, update your passport information in your application. This will make sure it is valid when we process your application.".

I think this means you Can, but should update post ITA if you get ITA before passport comes out, or update your records before ITA.

Summary is you should have the new passport details before submitting post ITA as this is when processing of your application commences.

Hello Sirs/Ma(s),

I have a quick question. I completed my EE application yesterday. I have worked full time 2 years in a 45 hours work week. I assume this should translate into 3 years of 30 hrs/week so as to max out? I'm not sure why i have a score of 25 instead of 50 in that field.

Please am i missing out something?
Hello, it isn't calculated that way... max points is for 40 hours . In essence, any extra hours put in is "jara" for you, but doesn't increase your score. It's calculated per year 1st before hours is considered.

As such, it was translated to 2 years work experience.

That's gonna be a tough task...well, except you aren't quality conscious.

You can check jumia travel site, and limit search to Ikoyi or probably Victoria Island too (as this is within the environs).

There's a current black friday deal from them for 20% off with code "BFNG20"

The cheapest seen in Ikoyi for tomorrow on their site is 12,500 (without applying the 20% discount code), while cheapest seen for VI is 9k.

Thank u so much , will apply that. Pls as per reading , which section do u advice I tackle first ,to manage my time.
Let me try to be brief...hopefully...

You can start reading from question 1. Not much need jumping sections... Each section requires different skills

First of all, practice with Cambridge Academic Reading (This is usually more difficult than General Reading) to build a thick skin sort of. While doing this, do it in normal exam conditions by setting a timer for 1 hour. This will enable you know your true speed and how to optimize your time;

For answering strategy, you don't always necessarily need to read the passage before answering. Because, you'll still be forced to re-read it while searching for answers (This will waste your time more).

Try this while practicing, look at Question 1, and scan/ skim with good speed through the passage for keywords, vocabulary, grammar (you don't always get word for word) for the answer.

Several times(not always), Question 2 answer is found after Question 1's answer.

The key is practice! practice!! practice!!! to device what works for you... But i'm certain if you build or have good vocab, grammar et al, and develop skim/scan skills, you'll get by fine.

Best of Luck!!

Good mng , please i need help oooo. I have written ielts 3 times . the last time i had 7 in listening and 6 in reading, i have identified my problem in listening to be the multiple question, pls is their any technique i can apply ? will be writing in two weeks time
i av practised over 40 listening but still not getting this part right
pls help.
Try using elimination method.
To start with, once you finish a section, you'll usually have like 30 seconds to check your answers. If you're sure you did that section well, ignore the suggestion and move to the next section to familiarize yourself with the questions and answers.

While doing this, highlight keywords both in the questions and answers (if it's a sentence). This is to enable you identify when the question or answer is being said.

This is where elimination method comes in. Don't always write the first 'answer' you hear...as often times they mention all the options available. Strike off each answer they mentioned not to be true (With this, if you somehow missed the real answer, you can make an educated guess later from the narrowed down options). But so far you follow the flow and strategy, you'll surely get the right answer.

All the best!

Good evening friends. For those who have had their transcript sent to WES by Unilag: will the school send the tracking no to me by default or I will have to make request for it? Thank you.
There's a register of all records sent which is available at the entrance of the records dept. You'll have to go physically to go through this, or if you have someone that can check for you.

There are many online mock exams and practice tests. You can't compare real exam with mock exam. The atmosphere and tension is different. All one need is confidence and relax mind. It is not difficult to pass if one is not nervous.
I feel one shouldn't underplay the importance of practice tests. From experience (mine and a couple of friends), the real exam score we got for listening and reading was the average scores we had during different practice tests.
i.e, someone that gets 30-33 constantly in practice tests has a lower probability of getting 35 and above (in the real tests)
While someone who constantly gets between 36 and 40 has a higher probability.

True, the atmosphere and tension may be different, but acing practice tests, gives more confidence (not overconfidence o).

Best Wishes!!

Please what did you use to practice?
I used different materials for each section, although some overlapped...

Listening: Cambridge IELTS General Training
Reading: Cambridge IELTS Academic Training (Academic texts seem more difficult than General for Reading)
Speaking: Youtube Videos (Ielts Liz - ieltsliz.com, Learn English With Emma, Learn English with Ronnie, Learn English with Adam, TEDx Talks)
Writing: IELTSADVANTAGE.COM, Ryan's IELTS Blog

The resources above for speaking and writing helps with general strategy and vocabulary as well...

Best of luck!!

Hi guys,

Also, I do not have any of my visa refusal letters any more as I trashed them and most of visa denials are from 6-12yrs ago. Now I would like to find out how I can navigate these steep waters given that I don't have tax clearance certificate and visa refusal letters. I did submit my salary account statement and payslips which shows my PAYE tax for each month back in June when I submitted my application.
As regards the visa refusal, Send an email to the UK embassy in naija. Stating the name on your passport, passport number and refusal reference number that was stamped on back page of your passport (most likely). You should get a feedback as regards that... No idea for the rest...new here (still reading hundreds of pages)

Make a reservation now and put it on hold. I reserved emirate on Friday But couldn't pay. I reserved it for 298k on thier website and on Saturday same ticket was 897k.
I used a fake name to reserve it cos I was trying to get the price 1st before making payment. I was now ready to pay and called them to change it to my dads name, the guy said I can't change d name again . Na so I loose the ticket.Very rude guy. I called thier Dubai customer care.
I went to Qatar website and reserved on sat for 292k and paid yesterday for it. The sane ticket in Qatar is 400k today
It's still the same amount in dols... you noticed the change cos of the new policy. So, current rate as at early today was 283... May reduce/ increase tomorrow though... Same applies for other airlines too

Lucky you @Form A, as we previously discussed, i'm still keeping fingers crossed @ decision we gonna make. Would keep you posted though.

To quote multiple posts, if the 2 or more posts you wanna reference are on same screen, while typing within the first quote, scroll and click on "Quote Post" on any other post you want to include;

if it's on a different page, open that page on a new tab and click quote, then copy out the quote containing the start and end of the quote i.e. "[quote author=happytbaby post=46638904" for start and "[/quote" for the end. You can play round the text inside the quote as you want.
