Health / Re: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by AbbynHummy(f): 7:04pm On May 28, 2017
mummyZoe:

you can make it yourself. i make mine myself. 1cup yellow corn
1 cup guinea corn
1 cup soyabean
1 cup millet
1/4 cup groundnut (optional)
fry everything separately until it turns brown, b4 it begins to pop.
pound the soybeans gradually in a mortar to remove chaff, then blow the chaff away.
use a power blender to blend it all together, or take it to the market to blend ( but make sure the commercial blending machine is cleaned by blending out crayfish dry.
PS: blend dry. no adding water
and gbam thats your tombrown powder.

Pls how do i remove the chaff of the millet?

for the tombrown preparation
mix like say 2 table spoon of Tom Brown powder with small quantity of water in a small container or cup

put small quantity of water in ur small pot and allow to boil.

lower the fire so that it will be low heat this will prevent from rising unnecessarily which can make it to have lumps if care is not taken

add that already mixed Tom Brown to d water on fire and stir
allow to cook for like 3 to 5 min

note: u can't store it inside flask like the normal pap

I add formula to mine before giving lo...[/quote

Do i dry the Guinea corn and millet in the sun before frying and how long do i fry it

feddy27:

Not soo difficult

1. Wash grains and soak for 2-3days
2. Send to the grinder and blend
3. Add more water and sieve
4. Allow the fine particles to settle by day break
5. Your pap is ready for use

for me, I go an extra step by sun drying and then I blend it to fine powder and store.

Voila ! smiley

how do you preserve it in this powder form, and how long can it last in the house like DAT..do you grind it in a blender to get the powder

i have started supplementing with formula cos my lo is always crying in creche, but she can't even finish an 100ml she'll have to take it twice. but if i express breast milk in her bottle she'll finish it once. i want to also start giving her pap, jux DAT we don't always have light, i wanted to prepare it and put in one of my colleagues fridge, cos they have constant light in their area, and tell her to bring it to school whenever i need it, but dunno if it's a good idea.

its possible that he is teething..my baby is doing DAT often these days, she scratches her face and want to put things in her mouth, it can also be DAT he is not satisfied after feeding, or he is feeling sleepy. cost my baby sometimes cry and put her hands in her mouth when she wants to sleep and wriggles her body, I'll even try to force her to eat, but after a while she will sleep off. so study him and see if he sleeps afterwards, don't give any drugs yet pls.
