It won't go away o. I think if you call the mother yourself and tell her about her daughter's health , she will take it serious.
And by the way advice her that there's nothing to be scared of, this infection occurs in about 80% of women (virgin/non-virgin), it occur as a result of abuse of anti-bioitics or heat.
Just tell the girl , if she sleeps alone in her room , she should not wear undies , and when she wash her undies , she should spread it under the sun but if she can't , she should iron it, Infact the mother should buy her a set of undies immediately she starts treatment.
And also she shouldn't be taken to a chemist where they only give her doxycycline , but a hospital will be better ( a general hospital is preferrable) , as a doctor will give her the best treatment for it.

My sister, the matter is so complicated, she said it's okay if I call her mom, so I'm going to speak with my principal first before I proceed. Thanks all the same

Call the mother and tell her about her daughter's health and that she should take her to the hospital to see a doctor .

The infection could be as a result of growth of candida albicans in her vagina
But her mother should take her to a doctor as he/she will be able to prescribe the right drugs and also advise her on how to prevent the infection from occuring again

Thanks. According to her, she said has complained to her mom but her mom keep saying it will go away.

This could be more complicated than you think dear. Be advised not to involve urself directly but you can be involved indirectly by reaching out to her mum maybe on phone, as a concerned teacher and woman also , explaining to her mum how it's been affecting her daughter's progress in school. By doing this, you have done your bit and fulfilled all righteousness..so it's up to the mum to now take it serious.

Thanks for your response.
Thanks.

Good day my fellow educators. I teach in a private school and recently a female student of mine told me she has been having vaginal discharge and itches. She wasn't abused, I guess it's an irritation or something. So I advised her to confide in her mother so they can take her to run text, after informing the mom, she said her mom didn't take her serious and just discarded the issue. I really feel bad for her situation, and I'm worried that if I interfere by taking her to run test, her parents may not be happy when they find out. Please I need sincere advise on how to help her because she is in serious discomfort. Thanks

It's normal. It's called lochia, sometimes even after it has stopped, it comes back again. there's no need to worry as long as the blood is not too much

Chai, DH and I are fair why will she want to be dark embarassed. I’ll try the product. Thank you

Lol. It's possible she took after someone in your family. But if she's meant to be dark, there's nothing you can do about it. Personally I don't believe creams can change babies skin colour (with the exception of those who bleach their babies skin). My first daughter was light skinned as a baby but she started getting dark when she started school. I had a friend whose baby was much fairer than my daughter when she was born but today, her skin colour is same with my daughters colour. Don't worry yourself too much

June mama here. It hasn't been funny at all. I have not had a full night sleep since June. They say it gets better after three months. I'm just waiting for August ending to come. I've been having sore/cracked nipples too sad. I'm doing exclusive. Please, who knows the remedy for sore nipples?

So sorry about your sore nipples. Don't really know the remedy for sore nipples but I know it gets better with time, my nipples were really sore few days after delivery that I even dreaded giving my daughter the left breast to suck. I noticed that the pain is less when she latches well , so always ensure your baby's mouth covers the areolas and not just the tip of the nipple.

Going with the scan results she first did @ first trimester is better and more reliable

When is her due date exactly. Though I normally go with the one given to me by my doctor using LMP. If her due date has passed with few days, she can wait for one week, as long as there's no issue with the scan, I think it's better she waits and fall into labour Naturally

Oralissue10:
I have been having this problem with my tonsils for like 4years. I have been taking medications along the way but recently I decided to see a qualified doctor. The first hospital I went to, the doctor told me that I need surgery to remove the tonsils because it's has enlarged and no amount of drug can shrink it to normal size but he does not perform surgery. He referred me to Nnewi.

I went to a hospital there and the second doctor said the same thing, (that all I need is surgery) and referred me to a Teaching hospital. I went there, after all the go and come I was lucky to meet the doctor.

Inside the room there are two people. The main doctor and the one I think he's a student doctor (not yet qualified). The student doctor is the one that attended me. After explaining everything to him, he wrote all of them down. He went to show the main doctor for review but this doctor, instead of him to open the file and read what's written on the paper. He asked the student doctor questions concerning me. I noticed that the student doctor didn't explain everything like he wrote on the paper (I think he was afraid and doesn't want to make a mistake) so he missed so many things I told him. I tried to explain to the doctor myself but he didn't let me. All he's saying to me is "Do you want to treat your self or you want us to treat you". I don't know what to say again.
He ordered the student doctor to prescribe some drug for me and gave me 2weeks for my next appointment.

I wish he would have listened to me carefully and look into my mouth and check the Xray results I came with. He would understand me better.

The one that vexed me so much is the number of drugs they gave me. Is like they used cup of garri to sell drug to me. All they care about is Money . I wish the doctor is on nairaland so that he can see this. cry cry

Dominique lalasticlala help me

Most Nigerian Doctors are like that, they allow you to waste your money and not that the money is going into their personal pocket (federal government teaching hospital).

I remember one time I went to the hospital for some complaint, I met a female doctor, she was so nice and even considered my economic status when I told her I was job searching, she just told me to run few tests first so that she can see the results before she proceeds as a result I didn't spend much money. But some will tell you to carry out uneccesary test.

Few weeks back I took my baby girl to the hospital, she was having discharge from her left ear, she wasn't running temperature and she was fine just the discharge from the ear. I went to the hospital in the morning (UBTH) and finally met the doctor around 1pm, this doctor (I guess he was a student doctor) used more than one hour to ask me questions not even related to why I was at the hospital. After everything, he didn't even examine my child's ear, he just said my daughter has an ear infection and she will be admitted. I told him right away that my child won't be admitted because she is not sick, had it been she's running temperature or she isn't feeding well maybe I would have agreed, I can't admit my newborn baby who isn't sick (people even go to the hospital healthy and come back home sick, because of the unhygienic environment) I remember when I gave birth to my second child (in a private hospital) the day we were discharged, I noticed a mosquito bite on my baby's face, few days after we got home she became sick, took her back , and test revealed she had malaria 2++, I told the doctor that it was at the hospital mosquito bit my child, the doctor was arguing with me that it isn't true.

Back to the story!

So the doctor later ordered some test, after he has gone round to ask his colleagues what to do, he took a swab of the ear and later came to collect blood sample, I ended up carrying out 3 tests and they were expensive, the least was #1500, my mind told me the test weren't necessary but I just didn't want to take any chances. The doctor prescribed an antibiotic too. We started the antibiotics and went back for the test result three days later, can you believe that one of the test result that I used my hard earned money to carryout was missing, I was told at the lab that a certain doctor came to collect all the test for that day and my child own was among, I almost cried because I went alone to the hospital with my baby who was just two weeks, the stress was just too much,I was running around from the children's clinic to the lab and from the lab to the clinic. I went to the lab twice and even almost caused a scene there, until they brought out their record, they even wrote the name of the doctor who collected the test result. I went back to the clinic, the result was no where to be found, the funniest thing was that the doctors were not even bothered. The test was full blood count, I told them that I didn't pluck the money I used in running the test from tree, so they must provide the result, I would have caused a scene there oh if not that my husband called and told me to just forget about it, now the ear swap showed a bacteria infection and the doctor told me to continue with the antibiotics that was prescribed before by the student doctor, and the test result indicates that the antibiotic is resistant to the bacteria been treated, the doctor even told me that if the infection doesn't clear up they'll refer me to ENT. And yes, the infection didn't clear up, I had to go back last week Saturday for a referal to ENT, I was like they should have just referred me to ENT initially if they know they don't have the equipment to check the ear to see what the inside was like, they allowed me to spend my money on uneccesary test and even allowed me to waste 7days giving strong antibiotics that was resistant to the infection to my daughter who was just two weeks old. Well, I took the referral to ENT and the doctor prescribed antibiotics eardrop, I'm praying this works.

Mama you're not nice at all. U need to see the fear for my eyes couple with BP grin. While at work yesterday I told her to quickly get strip that NL mamas have confirmed her pregnant grin

Fast forward this morning: We don do strip oo... Na negative o.. Nah to give myself brain sharply.

But this withdrawal and condom aren't reliable plus I don't like using the condom sef. wink

Just that DW is afraid of FP esp the injection becos of the after effects. She told me if ones ready for another child. Pregnancy might not come that some pple waited for years.

Pls what's the best FP? Should one go for postpill? Someone said Microgynom

She shouldn't be scared. Let her try the injection first, every woman's body is not the same, the fact that Mrs A reacted to it doesn't mean that Mrs B will react to it. I have used the two months injection and I didn't experience any negative side effect. Withdrawal method and condom is not reliable for married couples.

What you guys are discussing is really scaring me.

I'm a first time soon to be mom and I plan to wait 3-4yrs before another.

The question now is "which family planning method is the best? I've heard all these iuds fail, billings is for those with regular cycle, withdrawal fails too.

I've heard some naturalists talk about a seed you take every 6 months or so, who knows about that?

Who is on one or has been on any that can share her experience please. It'd go a long way.

Thanks.

FP all the way. I have heard so many negative things about FP but I am going for it because I can't take chances. I have used the Billings method, though it works for me because my flow is very regular and I use an app to track my ovulation, but sometimes you can't be too careful as a result I have gotten pregnant twice with this method, last one (my baby girl)was even on my main ovulation day. In 2017 I used two months injectables for like 8months, and there was no side effect. Next week I'm going for implant (the one that they insert in the arm). Withdrawal method doesn't work for us because DH is not use to it, and CD is just weird for us

As regards skincare, I use the following for my baby:
1. Bathing - black soap (When I had my daughter 6yrz ago, I used one of this big brand baby skincare set and I don't like the effect on my baby)
2. Body cream - Jimpoori
3. Hair oil - Pears baby oil
4. Barrier cream for his buttocks - Jimpo ori, and till date there's no rash or any 'medemede' on his bum. Blue seal can also be used for this.

I've not experienced any skin troubles since 5/5 when he was born, skin so fresh and supple and several compliments as well.

The jimpoori cream states that it should be used from six months upwards and I have been using it for my daughter since birth

God will see you and your daughter through.
As for me, I always check my daughter's vjay when bathing her cos I feel she needs to be washed up. Or maybe I'm dressing her up. Once a week is too long to me.
You haven't failed your daughter. We learn everyday. Once she's able to communicate well, teach her basic sex education. The parts of her body that no one should touch.

Same here oh. It's not easy to raise a girl child. I sometimes check my 4years old daughter vagina when I bath her. What I noticed in my daughter is quiet different, when she was a baby her vagina hole was not showing at all, it was as if it was covered by the hymen and I feel it's normal, but when she was like 2years, I noticed the hole started showing, I was bothered oh and scared because I use to think that the hole shouldn't be obvious until the person loses her virginity.
