NubiLove: They would tell us that they bought the old stock when it was N500 = $1 And they would keep using that excuse for as long as they can get away with it. What about the time they bought when it was 450 and the price was hiked to 500 the next day they still sold their goods at 500 per dollar pocketing and extra 50 naira they didn't pay for. |

I tire for this country o, I keep reading that naira is appreciating but I can't see a corresponding reduction in the prices of goods, this is in a stark contrast to when the dollar was rising and every damn business person in this country was quick to blame their high prices on the dollar rate?
Going through many comments on forex related threads and I see many complaining that we are our own evil, one even went as far to claim that Nigerians are rogues. I've got to admit that we are a greedy and selfish set of peoples who won't sacrifice for the collective good.
So can any economist explain why prices of goods are slow to drop but quick to rise? obviously apart from the apparent greed of Nigerian business men. |

Totfulguy: If you weren't told, you would never have known and it wouldn't have been an issue AT ALL. But you have been told and it is all of a sudden, a problem...so the dead man is probably alive IN YOUR HEAD. I don't blame you, it maybe normal to you but imagine seeing something that all your life you think isn't right in your own culture and now you have no choice but to live with it, tell me you wouldn't be scared |

Etizz: OK make I tell u my story, I served at kwara state, d room first was not furnished, unlike yours, and my backyard which is directly to my window a graveyard, all of the family members of that compound were buried there, the worst of it was when the owner of the building I am staying died, he stayed at Lagos and based on Muslim tradition, he was immediately taken down to the village and was buried just close to my window, scary enough, they left d clothes he wore wen they brought him on my door mouth, though I called d younger son to take it out, so he did..... but mind you, I am the only one leaving in d while building oh, a house of about 6 rooms, they just gave me one room based on d private school I was posted to....
can u imagine how dat night will look like for me? damn I slept off as if I don't know something happened,...to be afraid is in d mind.... wen u take off your mind nothing will really happen, nor be u kill d person, u nor know d person buried there neither did he know u.... wow you tried o |

Danielnino00: As a student,I once rented a room with a grave behind it. I was scared at first but at that time, good houses were scarce in the town and I had to manage it. I spent a year before leaving there and nothing of any sort(involving or associated with the grave) happened, though I was often afraid.
But Op,I won't advice you to accept it.its not right. Forget about the "overcome your fear" talk. its not right at all.
.Why would you bury somebody in a too. and still offer the room to another person to live in Its their tradition to bury people and rooms, its normal to them but not to me, I ain't sleeping in there sha |

Blessograo: Please don't take it, instead you can stay with any friend around, besides you don't want it either and you can never be comfortable in that room for as long as you remain there, also any problem you come across in life you will relate it to the room even if it's not the case. You are also a Muslim and I'm a Christian and u think your religion allows you to do your prayers pure and that room is the opposite of pure meaning it's unclean. Besides it's Nigeria anyone can do anything for money at this time. You should know better tho. Even your parents will not do that, think about it wow, thank you ma, I've made a decision not to stay there |

ITbomb: Your fear already has given the negative forces powers over you and with that they can take forms in your mind and do their tricks.
Otherwise, you would have just gone in and sleep there. I can only be concerned if you have already had an unnatural experience in the location.
Overcome your fears and see all negativity dissolve around you and the peace of mind which God has granted they that do his Will will overshadow you. Thank you for your insight, I'd definitely keep it mind |

My fellow nairalanders, I'm a Muslim corper from one of the states in the north central serving in a state in the east.
I'm have a conundrum right now, I was lucky to have the opportunity to change my ppa to a new one because of reasons. I have finally gotten a new ppa but the problem is the accommodation provided for me has a dead person buried in it and I do not feel comfortable at all with that(obviously).
The new ppa have claimed that there isn't any other accommodation left which I highly doubt, problem is they furnished the room and provided other miscellaneous just for me to make my stay very comfortable and I'd feel bad if I turn them down.
I decided to wait till when the next set of Corpers are passing out leaving vacancies abound but my cash situation is tight and I can't wait further.
Note: I could accept them and enjoy the place until I get a another new ppa which I'd have peace of mind but I have conscience and I can't do such.
OR
I should reject the new ppa and manage my current ppa with its damning conditions, exercise patience and suffer for a while till I get a better place? |

SweetBoyFriend:
I find it offensive when women can't get off their lazy asses and go get a job so they can afford whatever they want
I find it offensive when women depend on men for money, cars, gifts and houses, what do these women bring to the table ?? Their stinky pusssy, that's all they can offer
I find it offensive when women ask for money or gifts, they now take relationships as a full time employment
At the end of the day they will start shouting "All men are the same"
May God strike me dead any day i spend money on any girl or even buy her an ordinary gift (except my families and wife if i ever marry)
I'm constantly flying to different countries running my business, sometimes i go 4 days straight without sleeping, stacking up my money while you're laying on your comfortable bed calling yourself Slay Queen on Instagram and at the end of the day you will ask me for a 100k perfume ?? Don't let me vex for your family
Why is it the guy's responsibility to buy things for you ?? Don't you have a father ?? What have you bought for the guy ?? He would waste his energy and strength having sex with you and at the end of the day you will have the courage to ask for money ??
This is how stupid they are, wanting a 100k perfume when she should be asking the guy to buy a brand new used brain for her
These hoes don't deserve anything
*Spits you sir are my hero, massive respect. |

Op you've hit the nail on the head, were they expecting the government to do everything for them? they have to do the own part also, I remember the first time I saw a Toyota hilux advert on dstv, see how they displayed the ruggedness of the vehicle overcoming obstacles with easy, they made it look fun and easy to ride, but innoson? nahh, they are like meh naijarians will buy from us without much effort in advertising. They should show us that yes these cars are capable of handling our roads, and they can be relied on for parts which are two of the biggest fears we have concerning their vehicles. |
