Good day everyone.
I want to say thank you to everyone on this page that has been helpful and giving out valuable informations on this Germany waka. I appreciate, you guys are the best ❤️
I left Nigeria with my wife in feb 2019 to Cyprus and relocated to Turkey in sept 2019 after our semester in Cyprus.
24th of aug my Visum arrived, and on Friday my wife’s visium arrived and thats after 3 weeks of the interview. We will be in Munich.
Visa processing here is too smooth and there were no questions at the interview. Just complete docs.
We were asked for the name of our schls, why are we studying in Germany and what course are we studying. Meanyl, our heads was already filled up with other interview transcript answers that I’ve been seeing on this page but taaaaaa, she didn’t ask anything. We went in with a photocopy each of our docs, she said we were meant to bring 2 copies but asked us not to worry, she will figure it out.
That’s just the short story.
I wish everyone here all the best of luck.
We were favored and victims of answered prayers. We are not in anyway better than anybody. Aaanu larigba |

Duisburg: Exactly! According to the information I've got, for a tourist to get a permanent residency in Turkey, the applicant must apply for resident permit after staying for a maximum of 3 months. A tourist is not permitted to stay in Turkey beyond 3 months without getting a resident permit. Let’s not mix it up bro. I live in Turkey, and these are one of the things that I do to get money for myself. When you get a Tourist visa, or a student visa you have 30 days till you apply for your residence permit. If you’re going to another embassy in Turkey, you need a residence permit. So having to stay in a place for 6 months, I don’t think those things are really correct most times. I was in Cyprus for 3 months, I applied for another visa at the Turkish embassy and I was given. With my wife. One of my friends got US visa after 3 months also. A lot of things are on the internet for the sake of it. And also, you can decide to stay for 6 months to be in a safer side. All the best |

MrAAA2: No! You MUST be RESIDENT in any country from which you want to apply for a visa. A tourist is a guest. This person can get a short term residence permit in Turkey (min of 1yr) with a tourist visa and apply for whatever visa you want to apply for. Pls let’s verify informations before dishing them out |

Duisburg: I really do not believe that. People say 6 months but where was it written? I was in Cyprus for 3 months in 2019 and I relocated to Turkey with my wife o. So brother, once you get here, get your residence permit and shoot. All the best.
Omo waiting in Turkey for 6 months na thing o. |

Donnieben1: I was asked these questions:
1. Name of the school I was admitted to 2. Course of study for Msc. 3. Undergraduate course of study and how it relates to MSc. 4. Location of my school in Germany - City, Region, State. 5. Why did I pick this school. 6. Courses i will be taking in the first year 7. Why Germany over other countries? 8. Do I have family members in Germany? 9. Means of financial support 10. Does my home country have my chosen course of study?.
Those were the questions. Bro, I asked you earlier if you is actually finished your studies in Turkey? Where you asked at the embassy why you’re quoting your studies in Turkey for Germany. Thanks |

Donnieben1: Firstly, I will like to say they can travel from turkey on a short term resident permit also.
I live in Turkey with my wife. We initially left Nigeria to Cyprus for a Msc and after one semester, we left to turkey, we had a short term permit before we started another masters here.
I’ve got loads of friends that have gone to US, Canada and even Germany on a short term permit. The embassy says “you must have a valid resident permit” and not a valid Long term permit.
Secondly, I live in a furnished apartment. It depends on your budget
Thirdly, all of the things he’s said apart from the 2 are very correct.
But I wanna ask bro, did you finish your education here in Turkey?
Coming to turkey to apply for your Germany visa is worth it if you have the strength Hi Guys. It’s been months I put up this post here and I’ve received mails and requests on the process and how everything went. People have asked about the cost implication and the possibilities. It appears my post wasn't totally informative and will like to update it.
So, I left Nigeria for Turkey on a study visa. Before I left I did some research on the kind of permit I will be getting and if it will be eligible to apply for a German National Visa in Turkey.
In Turkey we have long term permit and short term permit. The long term permit is issued when you are a student, a worker, a refugee or a business owner. The short term permit is issued when you go as a tourist. Going as a tourist to Turkey is the easiest and cheapest option especially if you have a reason for going there. There are factors you must consider when you want to apply for a tourist visa to Turkey - factors like the time of the year(December to April is not a good time because of the winter season). Also, a tourist visa will grant you entry into Turkey and you can even apply for a resident permit that will be valid for one year, though the resident permit you'll be issued will not let you apply to the German embassy for a National visa. Only long term resident permit holders who have lived for six months in Turkey can apply for a National Visa to Germany.
As I said I went as a master's student from Nigeria. Another new law in Turkey which I noticed from most of their schools is that they don't grant Msc admissions for February intake, though I was fortunate to get mine in February 2020. So I went as a student. The university I applied to had a tuition fee of $4,000 for the whole program and you will have to pay $2000 for the first semester and for registration before you are recognised as a student and granted eligibility to apply for your long term resident permit when you get into Turkey.
For living expenses in Turkey, their national currency is the Turkish Lira which is not so stronger than the naira. For accomodation you can have a budget of $150 to be paid monthly. the houses don't come furnished but you can furnish them from the second-hand market. With a budget of $300 you can get a bed and mattress, kitchen items , a sofa and maybe a washing machine. Internet home subscription is unlimited though you will have to pay $10 monthly. Water, electricity and gas bills can go for $30 dollars or slightly lesser based on your usage. For feeding you can live on $200 (it all depends on how you eat). The job market in Turkey is not so good, most foreigners engage in trading - they buy clothes and ship to customers in every part of the world. Some people do tile exports, door exports and others. Ready available jobs are home cleaning jobs with minimum monthly earnings of 1,400 Turkish lira or 1200.
The reason I had to update this post was so people who decide to go through this route have a good understanding of what is involved.
I really hope the embassy situation in Nigeria improves so people don't have to go through this stress.
For those wishing to come to Germany my suggestion is you start learning German anyway you can and also if it's possible the schools you choose should have proximity to the big cities where you can readily find jobs and the language will not be a barrier.
I wish everyone the best. |

NwadiNK: No waive of any course. You will be running the program afresh. It's annoying I know, but thats the negative aspect the HND stuff... No, he’s definitely going to get a waiver. Go with your transcripts and course description and during the registration, they are going to compare the courses together. I’ve done it before at the Technical University of Munich. I took in my bachelor transcript and course description and I got a waiver. Stop misleading people on what you don’t have maximum information about. |

MaryBenn: "I heard" "they said" Nigerian students abandon studies for work. That they go over there to work and not to study. I.e. They put more concentration on making money than studying. This is not correct bro. It’s a Nigeria problem and because of the population of people applying from there. I live in Istanbul. I was asked to come for the interview and I can block my account after the interview. There’s nothing like category here. And interview days are flying in the air. |

abdquadr: Bro, I am not blaming you for whatever you’ve said. I’m just trying to say that it’s really difficult to make friends with Nigerians when you live abroad.
I don’t live in Nigeria, I live in Istanbul and I am talking from experience.
About the tweets, nobody will listen because they are tired of waiting. But the truth is, those tweets might not change anything and if you have to tweet, do that reasonably because we are dealing with embassy o, not someone’s shop abi office. I strongly hope it make the changes we want to effect.
Chanel your anger to Nigerians in power. Especially the foreign ministry. If embassy vex finish, Na big deal o. but we have to be careful. |

You really made a lot of sense bro. But he said “you will not want to associate yourself with some blacks, especially Nigerians” So where is the lie? Here in abroad, you must choose your friends wisely and carefully or you get yourself into trouble.
As for the tweets, we can’t stop anybody from tweeting, they are just tired of waiting. But if you have to tweet, just tweet very reasonably because it could either make things very better or very worse.
Bless!!!
Oga stop this Rubbish osiso. I read where you said when they come here they wouldn’t want to associate themselves with Nigerians. Na una type dey spoil innocent minds.
During my time in visa waiting, embassy Stoped issuing interview date by August against Schools like TUM who gets late admission say middle July. We all went haywire and everyone sent mails massively to the German embassy and even Twitted Bukola saraki who responded to some Twitts. Few weeks later, thee german embassy started issuing date for late November and visas in December.
I am still worried that you guys have not fired weapons on why they are asking only first class to be in class A and most likely the only ones getting invited for interviews.
Don’t limit anyone brother.
And as for your expired permit, germany granted everyone with expired documents till September. Ask someone to check ur mail box, the Ausländerbehörde Must have sent u a Fiktionbescheinigung, use it and fly from cotonu or Togo. By the way, there was a chartered flight for german student two weeks ago, why u no follow ?[/quote] |

I understand that people are tired and fed up of all of these things but do not forget that there are a lot of situations that’s not making the German embassy fulfill their responsibility at the moment. The COVID-19 cases keep rising by the day, FG threatening to embark on another lockdown, WAEC is not holding and so on. Even the FG is not sure about the status of the virus in Nigeria, how do we now expect any embassy in Nigeria to start working. We have to be patient for real.
Those tweets will not do anything. Consulates work with draw out plans. Nobody can force them to work if it’s not aligning with their draw out plans.
I live in Istanbul and I know german embassy started working on 1st of July. They started with sending appointment dates to those who already had theirs before the lockdown and then new dates followed. This is possible because the virus cases has been subdued to the minimum level.
I think this energy should be channeled to the appropriate authorities in Nigeria. These ppl aren’t working. They aren’t helping Nigerian citizens.
May God ease our affairs and I pray we all get to the greener pastures that we so desire. Bless!!! |

2). I also applied for the International Management Bsc at the Dengendorf Institute of Technology and I’ve been called for an admission test. Is there anyone here who has done it and knows what it could contain?
Thanks so much. |
