Foreign Affairs / Re: Jens Stoltenberg Warns Russia That Attack On Arms Convoys Will Be An Escalation by AbdulHakeem44(m): 10:41am On Mar 13, 2022 |
Ojukwu007: No one is defending a terrorism act, only terrorist defends terrorist like boko haram, isis, al Qaeda. Taliban's are not terrorists. US labelled them because they see them as having ideologies and acts that contradicts what they want to push forward. It is always so for every government to label someone or group of people terrorist when they see them as antagonizing or challenge to their obvious or hidden agenda. The same way Nelson Mandela was labeled terrorist, same way Nnamdi Kanu was labeled terrorist by Nigerian government because they see him as an obstacle to one Nigeria they (government) are trying to preserve at all cost. So if you justify Taliban act as an act of terrorism simply because they don't want western values in their country, would you also say defending their country against Russian invasion in the 1970s also terrorism? The is why I said dont rush to accept labelling of a group, hear them out and their agenda before u accept, the same way many Nigerians do not accept ipob or Nnamdi Kanu as terrorist. So what acts of terrorism did we defend that made you ask the question? 1 Like |

Eecho:I can bet my balls your only source of news that informs your orientatioj js western media. US Ra out of Afghanistan when they realized that Taliban's have the support for the people. It is difficult to indoctrinate them with western ideologies which is the main USA agenda in Afghanistan. The main reason, their military didn't make any attempt in fighting back. So why would america wanted to impose system of governance, values ajd ethics which is totally against their wish on them in he fits place? These are questions you need to answer first before defending them. I guess you would call Taliban a terrorist simply because America labelled them so, the same Taliban armed and funded by america to defend Afghanistan when Russia invaded them right?? Why and how did they became a terrorist overnight to the US, it's simple, US wanted to have a strong presence in the middle east, so Afghanistan was their target, the plan was to establish democracy and install their puppets, which is what they did, but when they realized it doesn't have the people backing, the fled. You never knew you will get a one sided and bias opinion if you listen to western media only, they make you see what they want you to see. Try to listen to other parties, you will see the bigger picture. 1 Like 1 Share |

Lol, this is not a win win for any religion but a lose to many average citizens. Once the school is fully returned to the owners, government stopped funding thee schools with taxpayers money and the school take full responsibilities of the day to day activities of the school. To balance up and meet standard, school fee will be legislated and skyrocketed above the means of many students' parent. The affected parents (mostly Christians cos of their population) will be looking for another government school (which is probably missionary built) to enrol her child. A question to a reasonable Nigerian not religious sentimental people, who lost?? The same happened in Ogun state and saw schools with population of thousands reduced to below 500. 10 Likes 3 Shares |

posty56: Yeah, that is because just a week into this military operations in Ukraine, we have seen series of propaganda in the western Media, so if an average person tries not to believe anything coming from them, it is justifiable. Why shutting down Russian news platform on Facebook and YouTube, so we can have access to their media only, they want us to hear their own narrations and not from the other side, I that what you call fair?? SarkinYarki: That is the effect of sanctions, push you to more independent. I remember few years ago, when USA asked China to sell tiktok over alleged breach of security in their server or whatever, one of the sanctions meted out to Huawei was that America should not sell microchip "one of the phone's vital component" to huawei, and ever since then, they have invested heavily in discovering the model so they can produce their own without relying no more from the imported one from America-based company in Taiwan 1 Like |

Nbotee: One thing you guys failed to realize is that, no country among the powerful countries would allow an enemy's base near it's border. Meaning that USA, UK, China, would have done similar thing if in the shoe of Russia. If not, why threatening to invade Cuba if they allow Russian base to be cited there? It is a battle for supremacy we all know, they all would have done similar thing and that's why they can't respond militarily. At least they all saw the movement of trrops late last year, so they had lot of time to take action but didn't. |

Jobs/Vacancies / Àny News On NATFORCE?? by AbdulHakeem44(m): 4:44pm On Feb 06, 2022 |
Hello dear Nairalanders, I would love to know if anyone have a genuine information on NATFORCE. NATFORCE is a short form for National Task Force. They are self-burdened with the responsibility of cracking down on the Prohibition of Illegal Importation/Smuggling of Arms, Ammunition, Light Weapons, Chemical Weapons and Pipeline Vandalism. Although Federal government have declared them illegal ànd ban their activities across the country. This organization still recruits young people sugarcoating them with soon to approval by the FG. The Guardian gathered that the illegal security outfit, known as NATFORCE, incurred the wrath of the security agencies for disregarding the order of the Federal Government on its ban. NATFORCE is alleged to have become emboldened in its illegal activities by luring some influential Nigerians, particularly some retired military personnel, ex-senior police officers and some members of the National Assembly with employment promises for their preferred candidates and people in their constituencies. The group is also said to have issued 18,000 fake appointment letters for employment into the illegal security outfit after allegedly collecting various sums of money, ranging from N6000 to N35, 000 from the beneficiaries. One Dr Baba Mohammed, identified as its Director General, signed a copy of NATFORCE’s purported appointment letter, sighted by our correspondent. In June 2021, FG had declared NATFORCE as an illegal security outfit and directed it and other similar groups to immediately end their operations nationwide. The National Centre for the Control of Small Arms and Light Weapons (NCCSALW), domiciled in the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) is the only national coordination mechanism for the control and monitoring of the proliferation of small arms and light weapons in legally constituted the Federal Government. The eight-member body has Major General A. M. Dikko (rtd) as its Coordinator and eight other Directors drawn from the major security agencies in the country. A Bill sponsored by the ONSA for its transformation from a Centre to a full-fledged Commission is already being considered for passage by the National Assembly. NATFORCE’s illegal activities, according to findings, have been undermining NCCSALW’s operations and left the Centre with the challenge of extricating itself from dubious conducts of a security outfit already banned by Federal Government through the Office of the National Security Adviser. Following the development, the Presidency has put machinery in place to implement the recommendations contained in the ONSA report on NATFORCE’s illegal activities. The ONSA report accused NATFORCE, which it describes as “an unincorporated organisation” of “pushing to crystallise into a Para-military Government Law Enforcement Agency,” adding that it also engages “in various forms of illegal activities including mounting road blocks, conducting illegal searches and seizures, and extortion of innocent members of the public. They also deceive members of the public through purported recruitment.” The report highlighted several court judgments declaring NATFORCE an illegal body and nullifying its continued existence, adding, “The judgment of the Court of Appeal put an end to the numerous suits filed by NATFORCE against the State Security Service (SSS). “Unfortunately, NATFORCE continued to exist illegally and has not abated in deceiving members of the public that their activities are recognised by law and usually citing the judgment of the Federal High Court, Abuja. “This is even more uncharitable considering the fact that the Court of Appeal exhaustively reflected the true position of the Federal High Court Judgement.” Recently, there are speculations that they have been given a mid to go ahead and would soon be approved. If anyone have a genuine and reliable information on the issue, pls your comment is welcomed and appreciated. |
Crime / Re: Mob Set Truck Ablaze For Killing Motorcyclist In Ondo by AbdulHakeem44(m): 8:51pm On Jan 20, 2022 |
Jungle justice belongs to the jungle, it is for animals not humans. For the sake of argument, let us agree that the truck driver was reckless in his driving that lee to the accident, how does burning the truck justify revenge? The truck may be someone else's business and the driver might be an employee after all!! Why destroy someone else business in the name of revenging. How Nigerians behave amazes me. I have never for once being a supporter of jungle justice despite the failed judicial and prosecuting system. If the mob have brain, they should have arrested him and make him pay the okada man's family for the loss and then prosecute him, no!! Though this cannot bring back the dead man, but at least, it will support his wife or any family the okada man is taking care of. 1 Like 1 Share |

I woukd rather work for someone else, earn the #82million for two years and thereafter, quit to establish myself, nothing beats freedom. In the same vein, we should realize that owning business is not for everyone, some people will never be good in business even if you sponsor them to the best university to study business. They rather prefer the monthly wages to plan their lives. What works for Mr A may not work for Mr B. We have seen salary earners doing well than business owners and vice versa. May Allah bless our job. 1 Like |
