CultureWhy Don't The People Of Onelga In Rivers State Sell Land to Igbos? by abdulizom(op): 6:30pm On Jun 25, 2012
I never meant to be tribalistic, but i find this amazing.
I came to Omoku in Onelga by the year 2008, it was a surprising thing to me, that Land is sold to Yoruba, Hausa and any other tribes but Igbos'.
I have over time tried to ask, the reason behind it. All i got as a response was that, they've been badly betrayed in past by Igbos. So no room for chances.
Onelga as a L.G.A, is sharing common boundary with Ohaji\Egbema of Imo State.
Judging by that proximity, is it better to conclude that, they know them better or is it just been acientic?
COS NO IGBO MAN, NO MATTER THE STATUS GETS LAND IN OGBA

FamilyRe: Should A Lady Marry A Man Who Is Jobless? by abdulizom(m): 6:37pm On Jul 05, 2011
WHAT SHOULD A WOMAN WHOSE HUSBAND LOST HIS JOB DO, DIVORCE HIM OR WHAT? SOME PEOPLE JUST REPLY POST WITHOUT DEEP REASONING.
MANY WOMEN LAVISH THEIR HUSBANDS' SALARY, WITHOUT THINKING OF THE EVENTUALLITY. IF SUCH MAN IN THAT CATEGORY LOOSES IS JOB, IS JOBLESS MAN NOT BETTER THAN HIM?

PoliticsImagine The Five Main Presidential Candidates Were Banks by abdulizom(op): 5:08pm On Mar 31, 2011
A FRIEND SENT THIS TO ME AND I WANT NAIRALANDERS SINCERE OPINIONS ABOUT IT

Decide now!

IMAGINE THE FIVE MAIN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES WERE BANKS WHERE WILL YOU KEEP YOUR INVESTMENTS OR MONEY?- Rahym Olayiwola T

MY ANALYSIS ON THE FIVE BANKS(PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES)

1. JONATHAN/SAMBO Bank:

The most popular bank with a lot of window dressing adverts i. e promising investors high interest on their investment, with OBASANJO as Chairman, Anenih, et al as ED, am afraid. Though some of its shareholders IBB and co are still considering pulling out their interest from the bank. I AM AFRAID OF PUTTING MY MONEY IN THIS BANK WHEN CONSIDERING THE FACT THAT THERE IS NO SECURITY AND BASIC INFASTRUCURE FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS AND  MADAM UMBLERA WOULD BE AMONG THE MANAGEMET OF THE BANK. INVESTING IN THIS BANK WILL BE LIKE INVESTMENT IN A WONDER BANK OR PONSCHE SCHEME PLUS THAT MOST OF THE BRANCH MANAGERS(PDP GOVERNORS) DID NOT PERFORM.

2. BUHARI/BAKARE Bank:
A bank TESTED and TRUSTED within a short time. a PRUDENT bank where depositor will prove that they get their money through legal means otherwise such deposit may be confiscated. Though this Bank is being perceived as Islamic bank but with a known Pastor in the system proved otherwise.
Bank where will can invest for our children.Even for Mohammed Abacha being potential branch manager, the management has potential, integrity and wisdom to control any BRANCH MANAGERS(GOVERNORS) under him. I WILL PUT MY LIFE SAVINGS IN THIS BANK! WOUDNT YOU RATHER BANK WITH THEM?

3&4 BANK UTOMI AND BANK RIBADU:
THESE TWO BANKS HAVE HIGH RISK OF NOT HAVING ESTABLISHED RECORD OF PERFORMANCE IN HANDLING PUBLIC FUNDS. IN ADDITION, BANK RIBADU'S PARTNERSHIP WITH ASIWAJU OF NIGERIA PLC PERCEIVED HIM AS BEING REGIONAL BANK  AND CONTROVERSIAL. THOUGH SOME PEOPLE  PREFER BANKING WITH ONLY FASHOLA COMMUNITY BANK

5. BANK SHEKARAU:
IS ONE OF THOSE BANKS WITH NICE LOOKING ADVERTS(REF: NN24 DEBATE) BUT THEY FELL SHORT OF EXPECTATION

Note: The above are my personal thought using Financial Institution as my example in a comic manner to engage people on critical assessment about presidential candidates the can vote for
PoliticsRe: Gej Lied About Being Loyal To His Wife - What Other Lies Are In The Offing by abdulizom(m): 6:01pm On Jan 19, 2011
PATIENCE HAVE THREE CHILDREN, ALL BEFORE MEETING GEJ. GEJ HAVE A CHILD, BY ANOTHER WOMAN DURING HIS ERA HAS DEPUTY GOVERNMENT.
CONFIRM IT
PoliticsRe: Goodluck Jonathan's Kids Are In School Mine Is At Home! by abdulizom(m): 5:44pm On Jan 19, 2011
ENYOJO, ALWAYS GET YOURSELF INFORMED BEFORE POSTING. GEJ HAS ONLY ONE SON, WHICH HE GOT WHEN HE WAS BAYELSA STATE DEPUTY GOVERNMENT, BY ANOTHER WOMAN, NOT DIME.
THE WOMAN LIVES IN AMERICA WITH THE BABY SINCE THEN, SO ISSUE OF KIDS BY GEJ SHOULD BE CANCELLED.
Nairaland GeneralMy Analysis Of Women Promiscuity by abdulizom(op): 6:44pm On Jan 10, 2011
I DISCOVERED AFTER SOME STUDIES THAT THE LEVEL OF PROMISCUITY IN WOMEN IS PROBABLY THE HIGHEST IN NIGRIA. A FRIEND OF MINE WORKING WITH ONE PARTICULAR BANK, WHO NORMALLY RECORD NAMES OF ANY WOMAN HE SLEPT WITH, HAD 64 NAMES IN HIS DIARY IN TWO YEARS. WHEN HE ASKED THE LAST GIRL HE MET TO TELL HIM THE NUMBER OF MEN THAT HAVE GONE ON HER, SHE SINCERELY MENTIONED 26 NAME, HAVING SPENT LESS THAN THREE MONTHS IN THE AREA. SHE WAS ACTUALLY BLUNT, KNOWING FULLY WELL THAT HE CAN NOT MARRY HER. SHE WAS NOT QUITE SURE IF THE FIGURE IS COMPLETE, BUT THAT IS WHAT SHE CAN REMEMBER.
IS THIS THEORY TRUE OR FALSE?
PoliticsRe: I Will Not Go To Court If I Lose, Says Buhari by abdulizom(m): 6:16pm On Dec 10, 2010
A man EFCC never hunt, he oversaw ETF where millions flow on daily basis for over three years without any allegation of corruption. After several audit to get any loophole by OBJ administration, he was left untouched. He had just one house and make his account open for any investigation.
Nigerians will always remain backbenchers forever, unless we re-direct our rationale. We have to look beyond ourselves and rise to the occassion, otherwise we will remain slaves of these verocious animals forever.
GEJ can not deliver. How can a man who allows automatic tickets to lunatics deliver. Same fools whose legitimate salary & allowances not up to 1mil, now stealing 53+mil. My candid advise is that we should be wise.
In my personal objective judgement, a combination of Buhari & Okonjo Iweala will do us well. Because Buhari gives any intelligent person under him, freedom to execution brilliant ideals. This fact was witnessed during his era as President and not accidental as ETF boss.
PoliticsRe: We Will Resist Privatisation Of Electricity by abdulizom(m): 7:09pm On Dec 08, 2010
Reference:
Johndoe200, we are already paying more than any anticipated tariffs. Do not think only in terms of your personal consumption. The electricity you consume directly in your home or business (if you are the owner) is a fraction of the cost you pay right now. If you use a phone, own a car, visit the clinic or a watering hole, attend church or cut your hair, the cost of providing power for this services is a major, major, major component in the final bill you pay and mark you you have no choice. You cannot say excise the cost of power and let me pay PHCN rate, not generator. You may have a choice sometimes as when you photocopy in a business centre and they have 'NEPA rate 'and 'Generator rate' but these are few and far between.

The lack of electricity and attendant cost of alternate power is a major inflating factor in Nigeria. And there is no product, name it or service of worth that is not currently made possible and available by expensive generating plants. You currently spend 200 naira or 2,000 naira a month on power. Can you live on that in a month, no. You probably spend more than that on other stuff. Those things are massively inflated by the prohibitive cost of alternate power.

What we are simply saying is that if me any my neighbour can share our generators we will probably preserve one of them or increase the capacity to bring the third neighbour into play. It is called economies of scale. As more GSM lines rolled out the price fell not necessarily because of competition but because the cost of providing the service fell per unit.

I suppose when it starts it may initially be high but as more houses are hooked up the cost of the infrastructure will be split between more people and the price will recede. There is a certain neighbourhood I know that has adopted communal power supply. They came together, purchased a plant and are running it. So instead of having a trombone near your bedroom it is now down the road away from buildings, the cost is less because it is shared. Now imagine this within a community, a state, or a region. Nuff said

FamilyRe: Please Help I Dont Love My Wife by abdulizom(m): 6:46pm On Jul 10, 2009
it's a common problem associated with people who never get contented with what God has given to them. All you need to know is that nothing will satisfy man, except sand from the grave. Even if you are given miss world, you will still not be ok. Behave yourself and know that nothing last forever. She is so good in so many ways , but you are parochialism will never make to notice it.
