Politics / Nigeria Customs Auction: Evidence Of A Failed System by abdulizom(m): 8:11am On Mar 06 |
When an institution of Government as big as Nigeria Customs Service can not successfully coordinate an Auction of their over time items as we can see, then, we are in more in trouble. The Auction exercise by Nigeria Customs that started about 7 weeks ago is already hitting a hard rock and have began to scatter. For the past 2 weeks now no single item has been Auction due to either deliberate or unintentional system glitches. More worrisome is the fact that no single statement has come from them on why the Auction was not done yesterday, Tuesday as the normal. Another disturbing situation is the bizarrely and blatantly demand at pegged amount of bribe from the Clearing Agents who came to clear winners' cars. No one office that a paper will pass without payment of at least #30,000, I witnessed it, not a joke...... In Grimaldi shipping company is a better stress compare to the officers in Five-Stars (sallaum) where the Clearing is tasking. MAJORITY OF THE CARS WON 3 WEEKS AGO HAVE NOT BEEN CLEARED. It took the Clearing Agents 3 days to beg the Nigeria Customs TASKFORCE UNIT of FiveStar to drop their #100,000 bribe demand on each car to #35,000 currently been taking by the unit. NOTE: The forceful extortion is aside the 25% Shipping Company and 25% Terminal Charges of the amount you won your car. We sincerely beg the CONTROLLER GENERAL OF CUSTOMS to please intervene, this is seriously denting the image of your organisation. I PLEDGE TO MY COUNTRY, NIGERIA. |

What's actually wrong with wearing hijab to school? When Muslim woman cover herself, she's uncivilize, but, a naked woman is civilize. Christianity tolerance is like a deceitful peace that's more horrible than an open war. 2 Likes |

As sallam alaykum brothers and sisters, Most people commenting here are non Muslims or have limited knowledge about Islam. Quran 23: 5-7 has clarification for this question, masturbation is HARAM, there is no ambiguity on this matter. We have dedicated Christians on this platform whose duty is to disparage Islam. They're pained that a religion with less media and advert outreach is gaining acceptance globally and has been projected to be the most populous religion overtaking Christianity by 2050 {Google is your friend}. But, one good thing about this Islam is that God Almighty promised to protect till the end of time. 1 Like 1 Share |
Islam for Muslims / Re: What Is The Ruling Concerning A Husband Calling His Wife "Ummuh" ? by abdulizom(m): 2:31pm On Dec 17, 2021 |
Jazakumullahu khairan, thank Allah for the benefit of Islam quote author=Lukgaf post=108369295] Dr. Faadhil: I do not know why the questioner asked this question, but perhaps he thinks that a man addressing his wife as "Ummu" means that he has called her his mum; and whoever addresses his wife as his mum has made a big mistake because it resembles divorce. And since it is not permitted for a husband to address his wife as "my mum", this person may think that addressing one's wife as "Ummu" is the same as addressing her as "my mum". On a closer look, it doesn't mean the husband refers to his wife as his mum, but rather - as with the majority of the people that address their wives as "Ummu" - he only shortens the name; for example, if she is "Ummu Abdillah" and he doesn't wish to call that in full, he says "Ummu" while intending it as "Ummu Abdillah". A husband addressing his wife as "my mum" is one of the assumed means of divorce, but it is not divorce. However, as Muslims, we are to stay away from doubtful issues as much as possible. That said, it is not dignifying enough for husbands to address their wives with names that don't depict love; some of such names are Ummu, Abu and so on. The prophet (may the peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) didn't address any of his wives as "Ummu" although he used to say Ummu so and so. We can address our wives by their names, like calling the person bearing Aaishah as "Aaish". So, there is no problem in addressing one's wife as "Ummu", but it is dignifying enough as it may not foster love. Wives can also address their husbands by their names ones in a while, but it shouldn't be in public; just between them. When in public, they can address their husbands with the names that people address them with or their nicknames or simple "my husband". We don't appreciate this in Yoruba land, which is not supposed to be like that. Some husbands address their wives as "the mother of my children" which is wrong because the term is used for slave. As for the question, two things should be noted. The first is that a husband addressing his wife "Ummu" doesn't mean his wife has become haram for him. The second is that couples should address each other with names that will foster and strengthen love between them. May Allah guide us to the right path. Car Talk / How Do I Claim Damage On My Car At Sallaum Terminal by abdulizom(m): 2:53pm On Jul 16, 2020 |
I have 3 cars I bought from US shipped to Nigeria through Sallaum Line, all the 3 were vandalize in there terminal. When I raised an objection the first 2 car {2013 Toyota Venza and 2010 Toyota Camry}, the Agent said nothing can be claimed since the cars had left their terminal. I then asked that the third be left there until we are certain that there is no any form damage. Lo and behold, the rear lights disappeared and from the report I gathered key sensor gone too just like the case of the 2010 Camry which I slept 61k to fixed {40k=Sensor,10k=Workmanship and 1k=battery hire} the key sensor. The car is in there terminal, I need advise on how to go about reclaiming my items from them and payment for damages. If possible litigation if there is resistance. Below are the pictures from the first car to the one left in their yard. |
