espn: You think everything is about the government? Please change your mindset...An average Nigerian is lazy and corrupt. Give them the funds for research they will use for personal stuffs or embezzle it. Haven't you read about professors spending research funds building houses... I never said everything was about corruption-laden politicians we have. I only requested for the politicians to provide the enabling environment, resources, and funds. And before you jump here and there, why don't you tell me why Nigerians prosper better offshore? You are the one who needs to change his mindset, sycophants like you are the reasons, politicians believe they are doing the right thing.. They have perfectly manipulated an average Nigerian to see poverty as riches and vice versa. What do you say about Doctors denied of their disaster relief? Do you think such Doctors would work to their max and best capacity? Let direct the criticism to the most perfect direction, man... Stop the unnecessary babbling.. |

Kudos to them but why so much noise after passing just phase one when some vaccines especially in the UK are already in phase 3.
By the way, 7m+ have recovered from the virus worldwide out of confirmed 13m+ without a curative vaccine. Of what use is a curative vaccine if it's not yet out after 8months.
What the world needs urgently is a preventive vaccine or an immune booster the virus can't surmount then we get on with our lives back. Getting new therapeutics or vaccines is not a easy business, especially for novel viruses like the present coronavirus... |

Amotekun777: This is exactly where the problem is. Until you realize both APC and PDP are corrupt and ur enemies, that's the first step into liberation. Yeah. I really think this is already very obvious. But these duo would never want to give other parties a chance. This is evident in the 2019 election results. It usually results in picking a better evil at the end. I really hope we as Nigerians emancipate ourselves from the established systematic weaponry of poverty. I mean, this so-called political subjects have methodically manipulated an average Nigerian to think about needs as wants, they make it look as though good health care system, 27/7 electricity, clean water, good roads etc is asking for too much. It is pathetic how these people do very little but get the lion share. Many people work their asses every day/hour in the educational, health, and agricultural sectors but only get a peanut. This is quite sad, but what is more saddening and disturbing is their gross injustice and unfairness not prompting enough reactions from Nigerians. I mean, an average Nigerian would rather prefer to dupe and victimize a fellow Nigerian, trying to make ends meet, than express his anger, discomfort, and resentment to the exploitative thieves in power. How these politicians have manipulated us this much is still a mystery. I think standing against this people is long overdue, we shouldn't just sit there and allow ourselves to be used and manipulated. I hope we see beyond just voting either the corrupt-laden APC or PDP come 2023. I really hope Nigeria see the light at the end of tunnel one day. Your contributions and criticism are well appreciated A concerned Nigerian |

They argue with people after having the conviction not to change regardless of how apparent the truth is. That is sincere and conscientious ignorance en arrogance! Even the Angels cannot fight corruption. Corruption always fights back an always wins. So, who loses? The masses of course. Are you insinuating Magu is innocent? |

Travel › Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by abdullahi45: 11:38pm On Jul 03, 2020 |
muhaogunlo: 1. True 2. Yes there are 3. Accommodation ranges from 30K to 80K per month, depending on location and whether it is shared or not. And you pay monthly not yearly. 4. Yes you can work as a teaching assistant or part-time lecturer, depending on the opportunities in your field of study. 5. Yes, it's very easy to get study visa for PhD, so long as you have all the required documents. 6. It depends on your destination in SA and on airline, ranging from 120K to 180K, it fluctuates, you may even get cheaper flights if you book way before your travel date. 7. Lots of academic opportunities for PhD holders in SA, it depends on what you mean by academic opportunities. 8. Salient factors - don't live more than your means, watch the company you keep in SA and be focused on your work, most importantly - God factor. 9. It depends on your lifestyle, but food ain't expensive in SA, the last time I checked. Public transport is also very cheap. 10. SAQA ranges from 2 weeks to 3 months or more, depending on when your school verifies your documents. Yes you need your WAEC or NECO, including scratch card that they will use to check your result online, it's a new requirement. 11. SAQA will send your document to your school for verification after which they will issue you a SAQA certificate. 12. Usually you will need to send to both but different universities have different requirements.
Be prayerful, hopeful and optimistic, and it will make more sense if you can confirm if your supervisor has funding for postgraduate students, it will make you have a very soft landing but there are scholarship opportunities as well, though competitive for foreigners but it's not impossible to get, depending on your field of study.
NB: I stand to be corrected on any above if anyone has any recent info about any of the questions, please share.
Cheers! Well articulated response. But since he is applying for PhD his MSc degree should be sufficient for SAQA evaluation. I doubt he needs to tender his WAEC results and BSc transcripts. As much as I can recall, I did not submit my senior secondary school certificate/transcript then.. I stand to be corrected if this is otherwise. |

Apination: All I can see from your write-up is someone who has chosen to take the middle seat but in this game, there's no middle seat. The system and the products are one and the same infact, the system is as a result of the decisions taken by the product. The system I believe represents our values and it's time we start pulling down the rotten fruits from the tree, so that whoever sees the tree would not judge it based on the few decayed fruits. Absolutely.. |

I am unsure of how many have left for early graves due to being snatched of their hard-earned money by him and his gangs. How can you feel for a criminal? Apologies, but that says so much about you.
