RomanceRe: Financial Stability Or Look by Abekeade08(f): 1:51am On Feb 21, 2011
hmm as much as i like fine boys, i have to say financial stability. That does not mean the guy has to look like eccelestone above because i wont let that man touch me with a ten foot pole. I have to be sexually attracted to whomever i marry, but having financial stability is important too.

Ms ogugua, so when you meet a man, you immediately see his personality?? You will be the first person in history to be able to do this, please tell us how you do it?
I would think that the rest of us, will first be physically attracted to a potential partner, before we proceed to find out about his personality?

If you have a different take on things, I'd like to hear it.

RomanceRe: Would You Date? by Abekeade08(f): 6:14pm On Feb 20, 2011
Definitely Hot masculine buff bod and average face. kiss wink
Why: I am very athletic, work out 6 days a week faithfully. My bod is very defined, being with a man that has the same athletic bod is very sexually stimulating for me, plus it makes intimacy much more interesting. Being intimate in front of a mirror and watching all his muscles bulge and ripple and little beads of sweat trickle down his taut muscles, oh boy! lipsrsealed kiss grin
RomanceRe: ... by Abekeade08(f): 6:08pm On Feb 20, 2011
@timbros: My first advice to him will be that he should graduate school first, so that if things don't work out with this girl, he can still go ahead and get a job elsewhere.

After he is done with school, I don't see anything wrong in him moving in with her since she has contacts in PH. It all depends on the conduct and character of the lady. If she loves her man and wants to take care man in PH even help him find a job, then what else is the issue? Her business is booming and he will get a job soon, everything go dey kampe. Advice him to move in with her right quick.
RomanceRe: American Needs Help by Abekeade08(f): 6:00pm On Feb 20, 2011
Imari, ignore all the insults you have received on this thread and look to the posters that genuinely want to advice you. We have a few children on this thread, so please excuse them.

Your loneliness definitely got the best of you as you should have thought this through. The only man you should help with money is your spouse(and this should be to a limited extent as well). Never, ever send money to anyone you meet online as it is usually 99% of the time a scam. Nigerian men will almost never marry women 2-5 yrs older than themselves much less a woman 20 yrs older. He has been taking you for a joy ride, he doesn't love you or like you like he professes, he just likes the money you have been sending him. End it now!

RomanceRe: is it possible? by Abekeade08(f): 9:53pm On Feb 19, 2011
@ goldie: you are correct that some men will cheat no matter what, but can you also accept that we women sometimes exacerbate the situation.

Look at the Op's quote below.
i av bin overwelmed wit d care of two kids n he said i stopped givin him attention,
Once you start to neglect your husband, it doesn't take rocket scientist to figure out what will happen next. Having children is not an excuse to neglect your husband's needs.

RomanceRe: We Ar Both As, Can We Marry? by Abekeade08(f): 9:41pm On Feb 19, 2011
I would not recommend it ooh. I have a friend in a similar situation, they dated for 8 years and found out they were both AS while preparing for their marriage. They are both very devastated and eventually parted ways.

There was another couple my parents knew who were both AS and had 3 children, all of them were SS and all the kids plus her husband are all dead now. Scary situation.
RomanceRe: is it possible? by Abekeade08(f): 9:37pm On Feb 19, 2011
Madam, you need to reignite his passion for you, Men are like children, they need a lot of attention. If you don't give it to him, he is going to get it elsewhere. Start taking care of yourself and looking sexy, go buy some indecency videos and use some of your learned new skills on him. Your husband needs a wife at home, (meaning, cook, clean, take good care of yourself, look like arm candy when he takes you out) and a total slut with zero inhibitions in the bedroom. Totally wear him out in the bedroom, with that combination, i am sure he will gradually stop cheating.

I know you are hurting right now, but if you still love him then you need to do your own part to keep your marriage together. Lifelong marriage is not an easy thing, but as long as you keep being creative and reinventing yourself, your marriage will start being fun and he will be looking forward to the new things you will shock him with.

RomanceRe: Women Condemned Me Cos I Beat My Girlfriend And I Think She Deserve It by Abekeade08(f): 3:54am On Feb 17, 2011
Well you do know me well. I would never hit a man, for any woman to feel comfortable hitting her man, he must have disrespected himself terribly. There are just so many ways of dealing with a woman other than hitting her.

Dsense had it totally right in my opinion.

MzD, what happened between you and Tpiah? Na wah for the fireworks ooh.

Dayo abeg joh, You are a very intelligent and a total gentleman and I know you would never hit another woman. Surely there are other ways to deal with a woman other than hitting her.
RomanceRe: Women Condemned Me Cos I Beat My Girlfriend And I Think She Deserve It by Abekeade08(f): 10:16pm On Feb 16, 2011
I watched a show on cops a while back where a woman assaulted her husband, hitting him and what not. He reacted and hit her back in the chest while the cameras was filming and she collapsed and died right there. Her husband, the camera crew and I myself thought she was joking around, but she actually died. The cops came and took her husband away. Guys you gotta be careful, walk away if you are angry, there are so many other ways you can show your woman that you are upset, you don't have to hit her. undecided

CultureRe: Please translate by Abekeade08(f): 4:39am On Feb 16, 2011
what do these mean:

1. olorun maj ki o pa mi: This means you have been working him overtime in bed

2. mi o ni obinrin mi leyin e, olorun mo: Means God knows, i have no other woman besides you.

3. iwo ni kan ni mo ni: You are the only one i have

4. iwo ni iya mi, iyawo mi: You are my mother, my wife: This is a good thing in the yoruba culture because a wife is supposed to be sister, mother friend and wife. He would especially say this when you take care of him like his mother would.

Is the person saying these things to you your husband, fiance or boyfriend??
TravelRe: Travelling To Turkey by Abekeade08(f): 4:17am On Feb 16, 2011
Yeah in Istanbul. And if you want to meet black people, you should go to taksim square and you will see bunch of them there.
Bunch of black people in taksim square?? Well that was not my exprience sha? I worked for a turkish company 2 yrs ago and visited Istanbul on a business trip, beautiful city, but it sucked so bad because people hardly speak English. I sure as hell won't want to live there and Hot turkish men leered at me like a performing monkey and would follow me to my hotel everyday, So creepy.

For cheap hotels, look in sultanahmet.
RomanceRe: Why Can't A Nigerian Lady Make Advances At A Man? by Abekeade08(f): 11:39pm On Feb 15, 2011
Tpiah: I grew up in Nigeria so my demeanor is very Nigerian. Been in the U.S for a while now but I am  still a very Yoruba girl. I love everything Yoruba. Food, culture, names, festivals, traditional clothes, Nigerian music and most of all Yoruba men tongue

At the same time I love my Trini people, love my soca music Roti, bake &  saltfish, calaloo e.t.c . I am lucky to have the best of both worlds and I am loving it.

As far as i know, all oriki names are very conk deep names as they signify the essence of the Yoruba culture and tradition.

We are totally going off topic though.
RomanceRe: Why Can't A Nigerian Lady Make Advances At A Man? by Abekeade08(f): 11:17pm On Feb 15, 2011
Tpiah: As i mentioned earlier, my mother is Trinidadian not my father. In Nigeria, the men and their family name their children as i am sure you are aware. My father is a Yoruba man hence  "Abekeade"which is my oriki not my everyday name.
RomanceRe: I Dont Want To Lose Him,what Do I Do? by Abekeade08(f): 9:46pm On Feb 15, 2011
Virgin this, virgin that, I tire ooh.

My friend, you must learn how to cook, there are no two ways about it. Watch your mom or your sister and then practice by making your own dishes. Sometimes when your man is vexing with you, once you give him good food and good yansh, He will forget that he was even upset sef.

I can't sign away my life without knowing how my partner will perform in bed. Say what you will, but abeg i no fit, sex is way too important to me for that ish.
TravelRe: Why Does Everybody In Nigeria Want To Travel Out? by Abekeade08(f): 9:37pm On Feb 15, 2011
Ogugu, girl i feel your pain ooh. I can't imagine going to school- paying my way and working at the same time chei!
I guess i should feel lucky. My pops sent 5 kids through school in the U.S and UK and paid all our school fees. My school fees alone was $15,000 a semester so there is no way i would have been able to pay for school on my own.

I thank God sha, I live in NYC now and jobs are plentiful here and I have a great job that I love. Health care is a very profitable field, so stick with nursing; but move out of California as soon as you can.

In answer to the OP, I wish i would have never moved out of naija. I missed out on a lot and I would have probably been married with kids now if i lived in Nigeria instead, I am a career woman and everything else is secondary. SMH, America is not all its cracked up to be jor.
