(Pulse ng) After a visit to Nigeria in 1999, Poland coach Nawałka became a huge admirer of Nigerian football. When Adam Nawalka takes his Polish side to face the Super Eagles in a friendly on Friday, March 23, it won't be the first time the coach is coming in contact with Nigerian players. About 20 years before the friendly game that will be played on Friday in Wroclaw, Nwalka worked in Nigeria for several months where he scouted some of the best players from the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL). According to Michal Zichlarz, a Polish journalist writing for Complete Sports, Nawałka was in March 1999 invited to Nigeria by Anthony Egwuatu, a medical doctor who resides in Poland. Adam Nawałka will be leading Poland to face Nigeria in a friendly game on Friday, March 23 (AP ) Egwuatu was also a huge football enthusiast and was hugely involved in the game. At that time, he helped in the transfer of several players from the NPFL to Poland. Scouting in Nigeria While living in Krakow, he met Nawałka, a former Poland international and then scout for Wisla Krakow. Nawałka came to Nigeria with Zbigniew Boniek, a Polish football legend and the present president of the Polish Football Association (PZPN). During his visit to Nigeria, he paid attention to Nigerian football and monitored the Nigerian league. “He was a guest of my family and I must say that he was adored by everybody. My mum, till today, asks me, how is Adam?,” Egwuatu is quoted to say in the Complete Sports report. Then a certain Enyimba player Kelechi Iheanacho- not to be confused for the current Super Eagles and Leicester City star- was tearing up the Nigerian league. Nawalka read about him in one of the Nigerian newspapers he kept up with daily during his visit and contacted him. Later in 1999, Iheanacho signed for Wisla Krakow. “As far as I know, Adam Nawalka found out in one of the newspapers that I was scoring lots of goals. He came to see me in action in Aba. That’s how Wisla Krakow later gave me a proposal to play for them,” Iheanacho said in the Complete Sports report. Iheanacho still resides in Poland and has since retired. Nawalka also spotted several players during his visit and has remained a huge fan of Nigerian football since then. He will be leading his men to face the Super Eagles in preparation for Senegal, one of their Group H opponents. They will also play South Korea in this international break. “I’m very happy with my opponents. Both Nigeria and South Korea present a very similar style to our rivals at the World Cup, as well as Chile in June,” Nawalka is quoted to say on the Poland Football Federation official website. http://jayabanobi..com.ng/2018/03/how-poland-coach-visited-nigeria-to.html?m=1 Cc; lalasticlala Cc; Mynd44

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has reacted to the statement credited to philanthropist and founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates concerning Nigeria’s Economic plan. Bill Gates at the expanded national economic council presided over by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo said that President Buhari’s economic recovery growth plan (ERGP) does not truly reflect the needs of Nigerians. He was quoted as saying “The Nigerian government’s economic recovery and growth plan identify investing in our people as one of three strategic objectives. “But the execution priorities don’t fully reflect people’s needs, prioritising physical capital over human capital.” Reacting, Atiku hailed Bill Gates for his interest and support in the economic growth of Nigeria. The Former Vice President wrote on his Twitter page “I applaud @BillGates for his interest and support of Nigeria. “I share his concerns of the challenges we face and believe as he does they can be overcome when we as a nation consciously make requisite investments in our human capital and infrastructure.” https://jayabanobi..com.ng/2018/03/atiku-reacts-to-bill-gates-statement.html?m=1

According to an Instagram Health Page, Healmedoc, this woman pictured above was bitten by a poisonous spider. Read what they wrote and the see the extremely graphic photos below. 'Unbelievable case of a woman being bit in her tongue by a SPIDER!! ?.Depending on the type of spider that bites you, spider bite symptoms can range from very mild to outright poisonous. A lot of times, it’s hard to know what type of spider bit you because you may not notice the bite until hours after it actually happened.Identifying a spider bite is easiest if you saw the spider that bit you. Look for things like swelling, a red welt, skin damage, and any troubling symptoms that accompany the bite. Other symptoms include itching or rash, muscle pain or cramping, blister that’s red or purple in color, sweating, difficulty breathing, swollen lymph glands, high blood pressure. In some cases, you can treat spider bites at home. For nonvenomous spider bites, follow these steps: apply an ice pack on and off for 10 minutes at a time, elevate the area to reduce swelling, take an antihistamine to help with itching, clean the area to prevent infection.' . 'Always seek medical attention if you suspect you’ve been bitten by one of the following species: brown recluse, black widow, hobo spider, tarantula, or a Brazilian wandering spider.' http://jayabanobi..com.ng/2018/03/extremely-graphic-photos-of-woman-whose.html?m=1

(CNN)The world's last male northern white rhino has died leaving only two females left to save the subspecies from extinction. The 45-year-old rhino named Sudan had been in poor health in recent days and was being treated for age-related issues and multiple infections. A veterinary team made the decision to euthanize Sudan after his condition deteriorated significantly, the conservation group WildAid announced Tuesday. Sudan lived in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya, surrounded by armed guards in the days leading up to his death to protect him from poachers. "He was a gentle giant, his personality was just amazing and given his size, a lot of people were afraid of him. But there was nothing mean about him," said Elodie Sampere, a representative for Ol Pejeta. Researchers were able to save some of Sudan's genetic material in the hopes of successfully artificially inseminating one of the two females left, Sampere said. It is with great sadness that Ol Pejeta Conservancy and the Dvůr Králové Zoo announce that Sudan, the world's last male northern white rhino, age 45, died at Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya on March 19th, 2018 (yesterday). #SudanForever #TheLoneBachelorGone #Only2Left pic.twitter.com/1ncvmjZTy1 — Ol Pejeta (@OlPejeta) March 20, 2018 "We can only hope that the world learns from the sad loss of Sudan and takes every measure to end all trade in rhino horn. While prices of rhino horn are falling in China and Vietnam, poaching for horn still threatens all rhino species," said WildAid CEO Peter Knights. Rhinos are targeted by poachers, fueled by the belief in Asia that their horns cure various ailments. Experts say the rhino horn is becoming more lucrative than drugs. In addition to round-the-clock security, the Ol Pejeta Conservancy also put radio transmitters on the animals and dispatched incognito rangers into neighboring communities to gather intelligence on poaching. Old and frail At 45, Sudan was elderly in rhino years and suffered from problems associated with age. During his final years, he was not able to naturally mount a female and suffered from a low sperm count, which made his ability to procreate difficult. His daughter Najin, 28 and granddaughter, Fatu, considered young by comparison. Najin could conceive, but her hind legs are so weak she may be unable to support a mounted male. Sudan made headlines last year when the Tinder dating app named him the "most eligible bachelor in the world" in a campaign to raise funds to save the subspecies. The western black rhino was declared extinct seven years ago as a result of poaching. All five remaining rhino species worldwide are considered threatened, according to the conservation group Save the Rhino. Correction: This story has been updated to clarify that Sudan was a northern white rhino. http://jayabanobi..com.ng/2018/03/worlds-last-male-white-rhino-dies.html?m=1 Cc; Mynd44 Cc; Lalasticlala
