God is indeed great ooo... I celebrate us all! Awaiting B.As and B. Ss back to back ooo! Last scan has it that I may still port to July sha jst as the 2nd predicted too. All in all, Let God's will be done.

Not at all. Please keep telling her to sleep on her sides and ensure she does. I know its not easy but preggy moms jst have to for their baby's safety. As me dey laidis, can't wait to off load and start lying on my tommy again

Hi mamas . My wife is 5+ months and she likes sleeping on her back , most times I tell her to sleep on her sides but she complains that she gets tired sleeping sideways and gets aches.
Is it advisable she continues facing up while sleeping?

My wife and I can't thank God enough because of the wonderful things HE has done for us and yet to do in our family.

We got married on August 15, 2020 and by ending of August she was feeling feverish and ill. She visited hospital and was treated for malaria, Ulcer and infection not knowing she was pregnant. After the treatment, I advised her to take pregnancy test. Lo and behold, it was strong positive. Tho, we've both been on vitamin E like a month before our wedding.

The journey of pregnancy started o, from MS, hot temp, headache etc, being a FTP it wasn't easy. At 12weeks, we started ANC and the first Scan was done. As the sonographer was checking, he said wait o it's like the foetus are two. I was so happy but my wife wasn't. She has always been running away from twins because of the stress.

At 20 weeks, we went for another scan, it was then we were told that our baby are Mono Mono twins (Monoamniotic-Monochorionic twins) i.e they share one placenta and one sac, a rare identical twins pregnancy that happened to 1 to 60,000 twins pregnancy. We were scared especially when we read about the complications of this kind of twins such as cord entanglement and compression, TTTS etc.

To God be the Glory, any of such complications was never our portion, my wife was so super active till the date of delivery that I'll beg her to calm down. She prepares food like Amala for me from day 1 till she gave birth. She'll not allow her sister to do it.

Being an inquisitive person, I read books, articles, Nairaland, followed her to ANC appointments and bought 70% of our babies list. Madam Zanie can testify to that lol.

The birth, as the Gynae told us from day one that the delivery will be CS at 36weeks based on the hospital policy for this kind of twins pregnancy. We planned the elective CS for April 30 (Friday) being her birthday and she'll be 36weeks 5days by then but when we visited the hospital on Wednesday April 28, the doc said that a week will be added since the baby are low weight 2.2kg each that they should gain additional weight.

That's how my wife started taking Cakes, Milo, Junks and eating like her life depends on it in actipation for the additional one week May 8 but as God we have it, on night of April 30 she started feeling this slight unusual pain after eating lots of birthday cake lol, in the morning of May 1, I was suppose to travel. I asked her if I should take her to hospital since the pain was still there. She said nope that she'll be okay that I can do the travelling.

I returned from my trip by past 4pm, I saw her moody. I asked if the pain was still there. She said yes. I immediately took her to the hospital. On getting there by past 5pm, we were told she's already in Labour Ahhh!. I was told to go and bring her bag and other items as the surgeon has scheduled 7:30pm for her.

To God be the glory, the delivery session started at 8:30pm. By 8:45pm I heard the cry of Baby 1 and baby 2 by 8:55pm weighing 2.45kg and 2.44kg respectively.

We return all the Glory for what God has done for us. It can only be HIM alone. What God cannot do does not exist. We also want to thank all the sabi mamas in the house for your timeline responses to our enquiries and the information received on this forum.

We wish all ttc, waddling mamas and us that had birthed our LOs all the best and May God answer our prayers and give us the financial, physical and spiritual enabling to support them. Amen.

Able June Cappo, I dey ooo... Eating fine and sleeping a lot! ... Been shopping in bits and almost done! Unisex things ooo as I made up my mind not to have another scan until 36th week. Looking forward to photoshoot. Might prolly have mine a week or two to EDD, who knows bump may have gotten bigger by then

Thanks mama,i haven't really started vigilante,maybe because baby is still a day old he slept and woke up only twice to suck through out the night,i guess my baby boy will be gentle or maybe he is still trying to make his mum recover first before vigilante session.lol

... Yes ooo... Done four scans already. The fourth was specifically to check for gender so I can know what to shop for... But my darling baby's position couldn't let the sonographer detect ooo ... So I'll just keep my fingers crossed till next scan which I pray would be the last jare.

I need to be sure how far gone I am before identifying with a team

My case is similar to those who commented earlier about having a scan revealing only a gestational sac.... By my LMP, I'm 8weeks and a day today... But scan seems to reveal less so I'm just praying and waiting for the next schedule. Trying as much as possible not to panic


Meanwhile my sense of smell is so heightened that almost the smell of everything irritates me.... No appetite.... I force myself to eat the smallest of food, vomited twice and since then, i haven't taken any of the recommended prenatal drugs coz the smell irritates me and again the way I spew saliva and lazy around the house ehn.... Oh my my!!!!

Sabi Abj mamas, please would you recommend Gov't Hosp. Kubwa for antenatal and delivery? Any idea on cost implication? That's the closest to me. Also someone recommended I combine it with Primary Health Care, Dutse. Thanks for your candid views.

I noticed prenatal drugs changes the color of my poop to dark greenish... Was away from it fr some weeks due to food aversions and frequent spitting and it returned normal. With the help of Hubby, I started ysday again... Hope no cause for alarm?

No be only you o.mine is worst both for my first child and now...at 17 weeks...i dont have appetite and i cant cook cos I cant smell it. I forced myself to eat and heartburn and indigestion are my friends. Though my vomiting has stopped to only in the morning before I eat, unlike before where I vomit like nonsense, took drips two different times and Injections almost everyday from 7 weeks till 14 weeks. Drugs are no no for me. Uptill now I cant take folic. I juat accepted my fate and pray for my baby to be healthy just like my first born cos I wasnt able to take any drugs till third trimester and shes so perfect and so strong that I give God the thanks all the time. Also spitting is my blossom friend right from when I discover im pregnant till the day I bring that baby out. That was how it was with my first and this second journey is no different.
