ProgrammingRe: Asm. by AbujaBoy(op): 2:08am On Mar 02, 2006
Don't you just love real time chat?
Do you IRC or Y! or something?
I used to be into C, I'm not into it any longer. I'm a Perl Monq now. :p I know nothing about ASM, I'm into exploit devl, and I want to get into shellcode and that sorta thing, I want to create my own shellcode (hoping you know what shellcode is),
TravelRe: Who has been to France, precisely Paris? by AbujaBoy(m): 1:59am On Mar 02, 2006
I've been to Paris, for a single day, with friends. We were on-route to amsterdam from England, you see marijuana is legal there, so we went to get stoned :p
nferyn, dude, you really should watch your tounge, you see people tend to become pissy and start to cry at witty french statements, and I'd have to write on your resume that you're an inseptical neophyte sad
FoodRe: Your Favourite Nigerian Dishes? by AbujaBoy(m): 1:58am On Mar 02, 2006

ComputersRe: To Watch TV on a PC. Any Ideas How? by AbujaBoy(m): 1:41am On Mar 02, 2006
TV is bloated, download warez. :p
ProgrammingRe: Can BASIC Be Introduced To This Forum? by AbujaBoy(m): 1:39am On Mar 02, 2006
Indeed, however it was the first C book I read, I found it very insightful. It's not intended for the light hearted, as with programming in general. www.hurgh.org has a C/C++ book in HTML format, I dunna whether or not its copyright infringement, however its another good read. (Wonders how this is related to BASIC), tongue
ProgrammingRe: Asm. by AbujaBoy(op): 1:33am On Mar 02, 2006
I'm referring to the 8086 compilance.
ProgrammingRe: Building Nigerians Programmers A Home by AbujaBoy(m): 12:35am On Mar 02, 2006
I'd rather do some standalone projects than delve into making a nationwide project. Things of this nature such as programming for Nigerians, or making a programming base evolved around Nigeria would be nice, but it'll take _alot_ of programmers to start up, we should look into making projects made in Nigeria, used widely that way we get recognition, hence the community I wanted to start up that nobody really cared to take notice of.
ProgrammingRe: Is Assembly Language Dead? by AbujaBoy(m): 12:30am On Mar 02, 2006
I don't think its dead, especially with lower level programming and exploit development. ASM is one of the most efficent languages out there. Anyone who codes in ASM is worthy of notice and attention.

ProgrammingAsm. by AbujaBoy(op): 12:25am On Mar 02, 2006
Anyone decent at ASM? I'm trying to get into it but I can't find any decent docs, I bought a few books awhile back, waste of money I tell ya, I looking for something elementary. smiley
ProgrammingRe: Can BASIC Be Introduced To This Forum? by AbujaBoy(m): 12:19am On Mar 02, 2006
I agree completely, BASIC along with Visual BASIC, teach alot of bad programming habits, I'd advise either Perl or C/C++. C++ although bloated is very efficent, C gets you to about anywhere you need to be, good on ya qleyo, I've got a few C docs. I'd advise for anyone to read "The C programming Language 2nd Edition" known as the K&R to most, or "Learning Perl" For Perl. They are decent books. smiley
Technology MarketRe: Cheap Computers in Nigeria by AbujaBoy(m): 12:14am On Mar 02, 2006
Well, cheap isn't ever really efficent. If you want to go for a lappy you have to consider certain factors, like battery life, and wifi, bluetooth etc. I'd advise either an Acer, Dell or some sort of HP. 150G or there about in range, Which is about 500 quid.
ComputersRe: Take the Linux IQ test by AbujaBoy(m): 12:09am On Mar 02, 2006
Hahaha, this is a joke. You're a real Linux Network Admin when you edit the sendmail conf :p
ComputersRe: I Think Nigerians Need Macintosh Computers! by AbujaBoy(m): 12:03am On Mar 02, 2006
Well, I think personally that since Macs have moved to i386 compliance processsors they aren't much superior to many home made PC's, they were better off with PPC, OS X is decent though, and its based upon FBSD, so you can expect the best usage of your hardware. It depends really what you're looking for, I know several nigerians with macs. It's not about having a mac, its about using it efficently.
ComputersRe: Computer Seminars In Nigeria by AbujaBoy(m): 11:56pm On Mar 01, 2006
Well, I'm organising a Linux/Hacker/Networking con. In lagos sometime soon, its taking awhile to start up, but it'll start eventually. For those of you interested, let me know. It'll be decent, I just need to get my finances sorted.
WebmastersRe: Personal Domain Names and Websites by AbujaBoy(m): 9:25am On Mar 01, 2006
Hello, there.

We've begun a domain name reselling agency, along with web hosting ( You're able to acquire 50MB, 500MB, 5GB, and 50GB for now ) increases will come shortly. And also Dedicated Servers, PHP with all hosting -- MySQL, cPanel and so on. You also have SSH + FTP + SFTP in all domain hosting plans.

We're based in Abuja, and you can easily acquire a domain name or any of the other plans by sending an email or a PM to one of our consultants.

sapientis@yahoo.com

or

her1cus@yahoo.com

We will be moving our POP3/SMTP features to our personal websites shortly. It's taken some time for our DNS propagation to fully awaken.
ComputersRe: How To Speed Up My Dial-up Connection by AbujaBoy(m): 7:20am On Mar 01, 2006
Dialup is obsolete, you should consider getting a faster connection, its bloated. You can get a good connection for about the same price if you search well enough.
ComputersRe: How Do I Get A Personalised Email Address? by AbujaBoy(m): 7:08am On Mar 01, 2006
That is nonsense.
Get a domain name, roughly about 2K, get a linux distro (why because its preferrable with servers) get a mail server (preferrably postfix, sendmail, qmail), configure it, run it, and have a gazillion email addresses. smiley
PhonesRe: What Is Your Average Monthly Spend On Airtime?? by AbujaBoy(m): 6:59am On Mar 01, 2006
I spent =N=87,500 in the last month on credit.
ComputersRe: Your Favourite Torrent Sites by AbujaBoy(m): 4:26am On Mar 01, 2006
Those are the only _really_ good torrent sites. It usually depends on what you're trying to establish. Things like linux distro iso's, have their own torrents. If you're looking for warez movies and shit, you'd be better of with some P2P client.
