Salamu alaikum: pardon me for the intervension. I want to disagree with sir olabowale on the emphasy that Apostates should not be slain in a sharia law state but before i continue i will like an approval that thats what you (olabowale) said. Masalam |
What do you say to Zakat and Hajj since they are also pillars of Islam, that one must oblige even though he lack the resources ? For fasting, No fast will be obligatory to those who can't afford to do it. Simply answer this question for me and apply it to ur question: 'i am a transporter, who drives bus from lagos to kaduna and rest for two days then drive back to lagos, this is what i do every day because is my job, during ramadan i fast and do my job, if you are a traveller you will comprehend my point well, at times dizzyness over take me and my empty stomach send a bad signal to brain which result to vomiting, i also feel too weak and feeble at times during the fasting as if am dying silently, i always know if my day will be good or ill i know it, sir my question is what do i do, should i exempt the fast for a day i know is going to be a bad day for me ? Am suffering alot from it. I need answer |
Quran syratul ma'idah 72. Surely, they have disbelieved who say: "Allâh is the Messiah ['Iesa (Jesus)], son of Maryam (Mary)." But the Messiah ['Iesa (Jesus)] said: "O Children of Israel! Worship Allâh, my Lord and your Lord." Verily, whosoever sets up partners in worship with Allâh, then Allâh has forbidden Paradise for him, and the Fire will be his abode . And for the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrongdoers) there are no helpers. 73. Surely, disbelievers are those who said: "Allâh is the third of the three (in a Trinity)." But there is no ilâh (god) (none who has the right to be worshipped) but One Ilâh (God -Allâh). And if they cease not from what they say, verily, a painful torment will befall the disbelievers among them. 74. Will they not repent to Allâh and ask His Forgiveness? For Allâh is OftForgiving, Most Merciful. 75. The Messiah ['Iesa (Jesus)], son of Maryam (Mary), was no more than a Messenger; many were the Messengers that passed away before him. His mother [Maryam (Mary)] was a Siddiqah [i.e. she believed in the words of Allâh and His Books (see Verse 66:12)]. They both used to eat food (as any other human being, while Allâh does not eat). Look how We make the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) clear to them, yet look how they are deluded away (from the truth). 76. Say (O Muhammad to mankind): "How do you worship besides Allâh something which has no power either to harm or to benefit you? But it is Allâh Who is the AllHearer, AllKnower." 77. Say (O Muhammad ): "O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Exceed not the limits in your religion (by believing in something) other than the truth, and do not follow the vain desires of people who went astray in times gone by, and who misled many, and strayed (themselves) from the Right Path." 78. Those among the Children of Israel who disbelieved were cursed by the tongue of Dawûd (David) and 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary). That was because they disobeyed (Allâh and the Messengers) and were ever transgressing beyond bounds. 79. They used not to forbid one another from the Munkar (wrong, evildoing, sins, polytheism, disbelief, etc.) which they committed. Vile indeed was what they used to do. 80. You see many of them taking the disbelievers as their Auliyâ' (protectors and helpers). Evil indeed is that which their ownselves have sent forward before them, for that (reason) Allâh's Wrath fell upon them and in torment they will abide. 81. And had they believed in Allâh, and in the Prophet (Muhammad ) and in what has been revealed to him, never would they have taken them (the disbelievers) as Auliyâ' (protectors and helpers), but many of them are the Fâsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allâh). 33. The recompense of those who wage war against Allâh and His Messenger and do mischief in the land is only that they shall be killed or crucified or their hands and their feet be cut off on the opposite sides, or be exiled from the land. That is their disgrace in this world, and a great torment is theirs in the Hereafter. 34. Except for those who (having fled away and then) came back (as Muslims) with repentance before they fall into your power; in that case, know that Allâh is OftForgiving, Most Merciful. 35. O you who believe! Do your duty to Allâh and fear Him. Seek the means of approach to Him, and strive hard in His Cause as much as you can. So that you may be successful. 36. Verily, those who disbelieve, if they had all that is in the earth, and as much again therewith to ransom themselves thereby from the torment on the Day of Resurrection, it would never be accepted of them, and theirs would be a painful torment. 37. They will long to get out of the Fire, but never will they get out therefrom, and theirs will be a lasting torment. 38. Cut off (from the wrist joint) the (right) hand of the thief, male or female, as a recompense for that which they committed, a punishment by way of example from Allâh. And Allâh is AllPowerful, AllWise. 39. But whosoever repents after his crime and does righteous good deeds (by obeying Allâh), then verily, Allâh will pardon him (accept his repentance). Verily, Allâh is OftForgiving, Most Merciful. 40. Know you not that to Allâh (Alone) belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! He punishes whom He wills and He forgives whom He wills. And Allâh is Able to do all things. |

London (ENI). London Mayor Boris Johnson has called on the city's millions of residents to join Muslims in fasting for at least a day during the Islamic observance of Ramadan to better understand Islam. http://www.eni.ch/news/item.php?id=3351 |
REUTERS RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA - The Muslim holy month of Ramadan has become a popular time for many non-Muslims, especially Filipino migrant workers, to convert to Islam. Everyday in Saudi Arabia, Islamic centres across the country open their arms to non-Muslim migrant workers who decide to join the world's fastest growing religion. During Ramadan, a period of fasting, Muslim organizations set up camps attended by migrants who want to break their daily fast. One religious center, The Cooperative Office for Call and Guidance at Al-Bat'ha (COCG Al-Bat'ha) in the capital Riyadh, sees around 200 would-be-converts from different nationalities flock through their doors every month. "Thanks to Allah, the number of those who convert to Islam monthly is somewhere between 180-200 people, from different nationalities," says the COCG's Director Sheikh Nouh al-Qarain. "Most of them give the reason for converting to Islam as the one-ness of God, they want to worship him and him alone," he said. Process The process of converting to Islam involves seeking knowledge about the Islamic faith and attending a ceremony led by a preacher or Imam, where the convert is asked to recite the Islamic profession of faith. The reaction from converts afterwards varies. One Filipino convert named Adcel Maglintian, said Islam gave him a new life. "I feel like I am a new born baby, new life, new life, so right now I will start my new life as a Muslim, happy, I am very very happy," he said. Another new convert from the Philippines named "Bebido" said he prefers praying five times a day to his previous life as a Christian. "When I was a Christian maybe I come to church 5 or 3 times a year, but in Islam I know prayer is 5 times a day, I make prayer thank God. So that is why I go to Islam, that is why I need to feel the heart of Islam and a Muslim to make a good things to Allah," he said. Inspired by Ramadan Some say Ramadan inspired their conversion. "I feel good because we will eat together when we break the fast. When we eat iftar. This [is] why if I break alone, I am not feeling happy because I want to gather with the new brothers in Islam," said Filipino convert Omar. Saudi Arabia receives the highest number of Filipino workers in the Middle East region. At least 200,000 Filipinos entered Saudi Arabia in 2007 alone. The total number of migrant workers from the Philippines is estimated to be around 800,000, but statistical breakdown of the different religious denominations of foreigners in Saudi Arabia is not readily available. After converting, migrant workers are encouraged by the centres and preachers to continue learning about Islam to deepen their faith. "What we are going to do now is to give them the basic analysis about Islam, Tawheed, the Hadeeth, the Quran, the Fiqh and other things, very basics for them," says Filipino preacher Sheikh Abdul Qadir al-Alabani. Pinoy preacher Al-Qarain, the centre's head, immigrated from the Philippines to Saudi Arabia over 20 years ago, and is one of the few non-Arab preachers in the country. A member of the Abdul Aziz Hospital University, he spends all his spare time preaching to the Filipino community in Riyadh. He takes with him a new group of would-be converts to every Friday prayer. He says the most difficult and most time consuming thing is teaching the new converts the details of Islam after they officially convert to Islam by reciting the "Shahadah," the Muslim declaration of faith in God. Supervised by the Ministry of Saudi Arabia, the COCG is the oldest and one of the most active centres in this field. It operates through a number of camps located in areas heavily populated by Asian workers, and it has preachers dedicated to the cause of helping non-Muslims convert to Islam. There are around 18 centres Like the COCG in Riyadh, and more then 215 around the Kingdom. As well as providing 5,000 people with food to break their daily fast in Ramadan, the center gives free lectures, and, twice a year, takes Muslim converts to perform the Umrah, a non-mandatory pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina that can be done any time of the year. http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/pinoy-migration/09/08/09/ramadan-inspires-some-saudi-pinoys-convert |
sleek29:because you christians are the closest to muslim both in society and of faith Suratul ma'idah 15. O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Now has come to you Our Messenger (Muhammad ) explaining to you much of that which you used to hide from your Scripture and passing over (i.e. leaving out without explaining) much. Indeed, there has come to you from Allâh a light (Prophet Muhammad ) and a plain Book (this Qur'ân). And this is my reason Suratul ma'idah 82. Verily, you will find the strongest among men in enmity to the believers (Muslims) the Jews and those who idolaters, and you will find the nearest in love to the believers (Muslims) those who say: "We are Christians." That is because amongst them are priests and monks, and they are not proud. |
olabowale:Yap, but the delay is certainly hurting him right now, no excuse, no less. The Prophet told us that whether the person is good or bad the body weep if delayed, there are many things it entails about the delay of a corpse but this just a short summary i gave |

"And for their unbelief, and their uttering against Mary a grave false charge, and for their saying, 'We killed the messiah, Jesus son of Mary, the Messiah of God"…yet they did not slay him, neither crucified him, only a likeness of that was shown to them. Those who are at variance concerning him are surely in doubt the following of conjecture; and they did not kill him of certainty…no indeed; God raised him up to Him; God is Almighty, All wise. There is not one of the people of the book but will assuredly believe him before his death, and on the Resurrection Day he will be a witness against them." (An-Nissa 4:156-159) When he decrees a thing He but say to it, "Be", and it is. (Al-Imran 3:45-47) |

fizzybaba:There is no atonement, i was exhausted and i rested, You better don't put burden on your head by misunderstanding what fasting is, If i di not wake for sahur and i slept with an empty stomach and am very sure the following day if i fast i will nearly die, i am exempted. [ Aremugangan:Mr aremu, how do you feel when you run for 10 minutes ? This players are going to run round the field for 90 minutes with eagerness and desperation. Am not saying if you like you should fast ramadan or not, ramadan fasting is compulsory but if you cannot observe the fast in some portion of the days due to travelling or hygienic related matters pertinent to the moment, you are not forced to fast it and it will even be better if you leave the fast till you are healthy enough or fit to fast |
Is Prophet Muhammad, Abubakar, umar, usman and Ali and Prophet musa not far far better than him ? They were buried the same day with no delay, By now he would know the very reason why hastening to the burial is better. May Allah forgive him amin |
Hmm |
Quran 4:171 'O people of the scripture (christians) ! Do not exceed the limits in your religion nor say of God aught but the truth. The messiah, jesus son of Mary was no more than a messenger of God ,,,,, say not 'trinity' stop it ! It is better for you . For God is only one God, glorified is He, far exalted is He above having a son. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And God is All sufficient as a Disposer of affairs' |

'And when Jesus son of Mary said, 'Children of Israel, I am indeed the Messenger to you, confirming the Torah that is before me, and giving good tiding of a Messenger who shall be the praised one."(As-Saff 61:6) |
And you think you made sense ? What a world |
From Samura ibn jundab The messenger of God (P.B.U.H) said,'You should not mistake Bilal's call to prayer as the signal to stop eating and begin your fast, nor the the vertical streaks of Light, but you should stop eating when the light spreads out' hammad related that he indicated with his hand in a horizontal position. Sahih muslim, hadith number 582 |
Also when we talk of star the sun is also a star so don't get urself confused, the sun is extremely hot contrary to shining stars, and i disagree with you that the shinning star is hot. What do u have to say about the moon that human descended on |
Thats according to ur science, why do you decide to rubbish the theory of evolution and spontaneous. I thought they are all science. Oh o, now you know. Why would you believe some and reject the unconducive part like the way you treat your bible. |
@uplawal:- You do not need to respond to every foolishness the cross worshippers utter. They are dumb, blind and deaf says the Holy Quran |
What are you saying dude |
@david, if thats the case then why do you blindly said fasting is obligatory, do you know what obligatory mean ? |
Folds hands staring |
So the star is hot ? Lmao. You are funny, lets assume it to be true, so the hotness burn the devil ? Roflmao. There is a proverb in hausa that says, 'fruitless, a devil step on fire'. Incase you do not know: Man was created with mud and jinn including devil is created with fire. Hope you have realize how lost you are. Goodnite, am going back to bed, see you in the morning |
How can listening to radio be obligatory when the scripture refrain from them. Haba ,must you lie |
@david, did ynu say fasting is obligatory ? Whats ur problem, why are you retracting your words. The best you could do is to quote Barnabas and co God instructing them to fast, yes we know, Moses also fasted likewise jesus, but who asked you christian to fast. Enough of ur stories, if you can't quote a verse where jesus ask you to fast then go and sleep |
Up till this moment there are devils who attempt to go to heaven and they are striked with a powerful force, destroyed to pieces, if you are opportuned to witness the destruction of a devil, you will see a glittering posture descending to the ground and disappear. I have witnessed it and some muslim too witnessed it daily. Truely ISLAM is the truth |
Alright let me explain that portion to you: The star is a weapon of mass destruction against the devil, in suratul Rahman Allah dare jinn and man to go beyond the horizon if they dare, and if they tried to cross the horizon the stars will strike them to pieces, up till today no man hath reached the star and come back alive likewise the black jinn known as devils , as for the devil, it is only those who tried to go and grasp what the angels are discussing about God's ordainment in the heaven that would be strike, any decent devil who rampage the earth will be in harmony except those who dare God by trying to reach the heaven. Among the jinn there are believers so they know what God has made unlawful to them such as going to heaven. |
