The Constitution empowers the NASS to make laws binding on every citizen. The EFCC is not one of the statutory bodies listed in the Constitution but it has got an establishment Act enacted by the NASS. You don't get to cherry pick which sections to obey or not to obey. If u do that then u question the powers of the NASS to make laws and the validity of the existence of the EFCC itself. The same Act empowers the President to appoint d Chairman subject to the confirmation of the Senate. Why accept the power of the president and deny that of the Senate?

The Constitution is the grundnorm of all other laws but does not contain every law or directive.

First and foremost, Yoruba no dey answer that kain english name. So, the guy is either from the south east, south south or middle belt.

No, looking at the fake name he used "Michael Mordi", only an Igbo person or someone conversant with Igbo names will choose that surname. Someone who isn't Igbo and wants to use an Igbo name will use popular names such as Nwachukwu, Chukwuka or even Chineke.

Besides, that guy's confidence despite been dealth a big blow to the eye seems very Igbo to me. If na Yoruba guy, im facial expression would read "Aiye mi ti ta grin".

As the representative of Ndigbo all over the internet, i hereby accept this impersonator as our personal person. I confer on him the "Onye oshi 1 of Lagos".

Why won't there be tribal clashes in this country? If both the exalted POLICE and MILITARY forces can devolve down to this level of tit for tat violence and recklessness undecided undecided undecided

God, is this really a country? Or is this all a big joke?

Such a cursed, bloodthirsty land. From Borno to Lagos, Sokoto to Akwa Ibom.

We all need to really look inward and ask ourselves if we are human beings or beasts. What is going on?

Look this is not about being detribalized or religious influence and I never claimed any of that sort

The question here is what's the relationship between her religion and her political criticism of the government........ I don't don't know for what reason she voted for the government and that should not be any of my concern...... or are you trying to tell me that if one voted for a government for whatever reason..... then that person does not have the right to criticise it? And I am very sure that Muslim vote alone cannot bring buhari to power unless you are trying to tell me that the non Muslims too voted along religious lines.....
Plenty talk.

A Muslim lady is regretting that she cast her vote for bigoted reasons.

End of story

P.S. Una, ehn. You dey try shift goalpost in this matter. The poor condition of this country is on your heads. E dey record and nobody will let you forget it

Why do you need to add her religion to the tittle, what is the relationship between what she said and her religion, is it only Muslims that are suffering, or is she talking on behalf of Muslims or on her status as a muslim.....

Why not a woman annoyed by the suffering buhari govt caused angry
There was obviously mass voting along religious lines. Now their eyes have started to clear.

You, on the other hand, I highly doubt you're as detribalized and uninfluenced by religion as you seem to claim.

Fact is, those that didn't vote APC, knew there was not a lot the party had to offer.

I'm sure the major problem is the dull prosecutors. There are enough laws to put criminals away and judges are prepared to sentence the guilty... if there's evidence.

Government prosecutors are notorious for winning the court of public opinion, but failing to produce hard evidence. HARD EVIDENCE. Why can't the corruption agencies improve the manner in which they carry out investigations undecided

But this govt will likely not be able to know d kind of damage these 2 events wud do to d anti corruption fight and lazies on as usual.

She's just naturally dumb

Why would someone tell you that there's a new law in Rivers state that bans tattoos and you decide to pay them 10k, it's just like saying that there's a law that bans wearing clothes in Rivers state

PoliticsRe: FG Should Drop Saraki’s CCT Case, APC Senators Tell Party by AceSkillz01: 8:21am On Apr 05, 2017
olujastro:
Nigerian lawmakers since time immemorial don't care about their party or the nation, but their own interests only. That's why they decamp at will within minutes and stall budgets for months that would serve the masses.
Unfortunately, many Nigerians prefer this drama to actual developmental progress.
The same Saraki that I watched live saying that the 2017 budget will be passed at the very latest in March, has now switched to Nollywood/drama mode of chasing shadows till April.
Do you know why Lagos is always commissioning projects back to back since Fashola to Ambode? Because their budgets are always passed very early, latest mid January. That's why they easily achieve at least 70% budget implementation each year, while that of Nigeria is slowed down by useless Senators.
Keep hailing them because you hate Buhari while your future continues in Bleak mode.
Keep quiet and enjoy the fake change you voted for.

Stop blaming Saraki for the govt's colossal failure.

I am truly curious. How on earth did you arrive at the conclusion that Buhari would be outstanding? Everybody had the benefit of his past history as C-in-C as reference, as well as the well documented cases of some pretty sharp statements he's made. Did you just ignore all of this wholesale? shocked shocked shocked

If you even asked our current generation of 55-75 year olds, they would have been happy to outline their experiences during that time. Well, perhaps it was because Jonathan was running, it made a somewhat not-so-great choice easier to make. I wish he had stepped down for a young Northern candidate to run in 2015 sad

Regardless of all that, I think GEJ might have been better. Barely. I say that while holding my nose btw

Please can you tell me one legitimate action Buhari can take against Saraki
That's the point. Saraki is playing his cards to perfection and keeping everything above board and in line with the Constitution.

On top of that, he has the support of virtually all the Senators. In the case of Ndume, not one Senator even bothered backing him.

If all his decisions can consistently get majority votes and support on the floor, he's really rubbing shoulders with the chief executive.

Its almost as he's warming up for a political masterstroke very soon

Reducing electricity tariffs, canceling unnecessary custom duties, now e-voting
